The 7PM Project (2009)

Trivia

The 7PM Project

Edit
This series is broadcast live into south-eastern Australian states and territories (New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria and Tasmania), and also shown live in Queensland when that state is not on Daylight Saving time, but is shown on delay in other states and territories (South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia, as well as Queensland during Daylight Saving time).
This series is the continuation of The 7PM Project (2009). The on-screen title was changed when the series had its start time brought forward from 7:00p.m. to 6:30p.m. to replace the axed George Negus Tonight (2001), and had its duration extended from 30 minutes to one hour.
Was originally known as "The 7PM Project" from its debut on 20 July 2009 to 28 October 2011, in a half hour format. The series was relaunched on 31 October 2011 as "The Project", in an hour long format.
The main reason the show was created was because the bulk of the cast had lost their job on Rove (1999) when Rove McManus himself decided to retire. The 7PM Project (2009) was a sort of spin off of the ever successful Rove show.
