It's definitely light-hearted, fun and very Trixie. Everything she touches becomes pink, vintage, sexy and fabulous. The show is one thing but I can't wait to head on up from San Diego and stay there. I'm actually in the desert now as I write this. It will be fun to stay there and let loose at the Trixie Motel. 😉
I havent had this much fun with a show in a while. This was a blast to watch. It had everything, it was funny, it was exciting, and the endresults were just crazy. Overall, an amazing show!

A great show to just enjoy and laugh. Highly recommend. Seeing everyone doing their part, poking fun, discovering plans, and making THE place to go in Palm Springs is a treat. Guest stars and background people being shown makes it even better. It's amazing what all Trixie can do while being so skinny.

This show is exactly what you want from Trixie! We want cute makeovers, funny little interludes and just a taste of jeopardy! The production value is high, the finished product is always cute and the way she is able to bring out all of her besties to make a good TV show, iconic!
It feels criminal to rate this anything less than a 7 because it cannot be denied that this is a design show on par with any other and then to top it all off there is just so much campiness to it!
Binge watch at your leisure!

I was really excited to see what Trixie and David can pull off and they are doing a great job. They have the perfect balance of fun and emotions. Love it!

While I do generally like the concept of Trixie Motel (both as a show and the actual motel), I find the show to feel very, very staged at moments. And while I'm aware this was probably a conscious stylistic and narrative decision from Trixie and her crew, it tends to cross over into awkward territory at times, ultimately bogging the show's flow and pace down.
The actual motel renovation on the other hand, is simply marvellous. The interior designer of the show is marvellous and a real joy to watch, and it's great seeing David get more screen-time. Trixie is hilarious as always, but this isn't her best representation on screen yet, mostly because her persona feels too staged here.

Literally made an account to review Trixie Motel. Love to see queens branching out. This is a witty, interesting take on a Reno show. Clever and very bingeable. The world should watch out for Trixie - an incredibly smart comedian who is made for the biz.
This was a great concept, sadly it was driven away from the LGBT community to focus on the really marginalised community in USA a white blonde straight woman who was the "decorator".
Was sad to not see the community really involved. And David had less focus that the "decorator" which was the real shame as his personality, wit and the fact the camera loved him.
Real missed opportunity.

As trixie mattel and david silver reno their "new" motel in palm springs, we follow along. And judge... everything, of course. Trixie is quite fun and funny! And a little dirty. Fun guests, such as the awesome belinda carlisle, leslie jordan, a sexy surf instructor. Nicole byer. Even the brady bunch house from the original series. This series gets better as it goes along! We spend a lot of time in episode one watching david and trixie look at new homes in los angeles. That was kind of un-necessary, but I guess you can't have only seven episodes (?). Some really fun deco ideas. And SO MUCH pink!! They discuss running into trouble with the town on a couple issues, like permits, and working things out. It's a lot of fun! Directed by bob schermerhorn.
I SO LOVE this show and you did such an AMAZING job on the Hotel! I TRULY HOPE THAT I can afford to stay there one day! You are TRULY a gifted Drag Queen and Business Owner Developer.

I love it and all the comments hating on it are homophobic or weird drag race fans! It's better than every renovation show that I've seen because it's actually interesting and the designs are fun.

I love this!
Comes across as disingenuous? Yes Same thing different Diamond? Yes Love it? YAS!
It's not about acting, it's about gays doing demo and it's like candy, can't stop once I start.
X.

At least 60 percent of Trixie Mattel's onscreen time is her whining about the budget, time, permits, her own ambitions and greediness that no one forced upon her. You're not doing drag if you're not obsessively transforming every single thing in your life into a money making scheme.

Oh lord I miss the days of clever, hilarious drag queens. They were a gift from the universe.
Now they seem to be just any person desperate for attention who can't get it by being themselves.
Oh Charles Pierce, please come back!
