Every episode of the first season kinda just picks and chooses stories with a very flimsy narrative. The first episode is about "wide receivers" but the second half focuses on Ochocino and completey drops the narrative of the first half. Sadly this is how all episodes play out. They'll do an episodes about "fans and violence" only to change to "eagles vs cowboys" tell part of that story and then it changes to a completely different story. There seems to be no direction and even the episodes that mostly focus on the main subject veer off into random stories that have nothing to do with what they first claimed three episode was about.

It really feels like they couldn't get a good half hour narrative and instead decided to focus on whatever to fill time and none of the episodes tell a complete story.

Also the interviews make no sense as half the time they are just opinions of people who aren't involved in the situation being talked about.

While there are some neat facts nothing on this show really goes beyond things you can easily find on internet if you looked up the teams/players.

I really enjoy Dark Side of the Ring so I thought I'd enjoy this. However, this show is unwatchable.

Great super series from "Vice" called "Dark Side of Football" is one that is a must watch for any football fan as they remember the glory years and days of the "NFL". The series show clips and highlights of memorable "NFL" moments and interviews with ex players, coaches, and sports reporters and looks at behind the scenes happenings showcased are the "Eagles and Cowboys" battles and wars with Buddy and Jimmy. Also one episode looks at the cheating ways of the "New England Patriots" and how steroids and drug scandals have affected the league, also the program featured looks at many wide receivers and looked at the Raiders organization, and highlighted is the downfall of the Cleveland Browns along with showing fan violence as many fans become fanatical about their teams as Sunday football and the love of winning becomes a Sunday tradition just like religion. Really this series is a can't miss for any "NFL" pro football fan!
