To date, 5 Hulks have been seen under the MCU umbrella. Three are green: Bruce Banner’s (Mark Ruffalo) Hulk, Jennifer Walters’ (Tatiana Maslany) She-Hulk, and Skaar (Wil Deusner), seen in the last episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Happy Hogan’s (Jon Favreau) becomes Purple Hulk in the What If...? episode, "What If... Happy Hogan Saved Christmas," (because nothing's more festive than Grimace Hulk), and now President Ross’ (Harrison Ford) Red Hulk. A casual fan who only knows Hulk as green from his Lou Ferrigno days forward might suspect the different colors are a creative choice for aesthetics, but there is precedent. If we go by the comics, there are, in fact, 8 more colors that have yet to appear in the MCU.

It isn't long now until the Devil of Hell's Kitchen returns to screens. Matt Murdock's war on crime continues in the heavily-anticipated Daredevil: Born Again, which premieres on Disney Plus this March. A revival of the Netflix series that debuted a decade ago, the Marvel Studios production brings back the majority of the cast for a new adventure, catching us up with their respective characters for the first time in around six years.

Fans are curious about whether the Disney Plus show will have the same levels of maturity and violence as its Netflix predecessor, and the trailer certainly suggests that it will - as have the early social media reactions, which are full of praise for the hard-hitting drama. And with that, the next step if to simply await its arrival, for Matt Murdock's adventures will begin all over again very, very soon.

There was so much to love about the '90s "X-Men" animated series that creating a revival show in 2024 seemed like a risky maneuver. But Disney's legacy sequel series, "X-Men '97," debuted to great reviews, providing '90s kids everywhere with a straight shot of animated nostalgia. Of course, the 2024 version of the show was a lot cleaner than the Og series, which originally ran from 1992 to 1997 on Fox Kids. "X-Men" debuted during a time when hand-drawn animation done under a tight budget and often shipped overseas for coloring gave all our favorite cartoons a charmingly janky aesthetic. That same feel was missing from the revival show, but that was really the only thing that felt different.

Following her well-received debut in WandaVision, Kathryn Hahn is finally back as Agatha Harkness with the release of the Agatha All Along TV show, continuing the stories of the Marvel villain. With Agatha All Along being the final live-action MCU TV show for 2024, many have been waiting to see what the reception for it would be on its premiere night.

Agatha All Along episodes 1 and 2 premiered this week on Disney+, Rotten Tomatoes is reporting that the MCU drama is officially 74% fresh with critics. For the audience score, Agatha All Along holds a 76% fresh rating at the time of this article's publication. While lower than WandaVision's Rotten Tomatoes scores of 92% fresh among critics and 87% with the audience, Agatha All Along is currently off to a solid start.

Ultron already secretly returned to action in 2019, so his upcoming MCU reprisal in Marvel Television's Vision series will need to be even better. James Spader originally voiced tyrannical artificial intelligence Ultron in 2015's eponymous Avengers: Age of Ultron, but Spader hasn't been heard since. MCU veteran Ross Marquand voiced versions of the robot entity in What If...? and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but James Spader has now been confirmed to be returning as Ultron, which is very exciting for the MCU.

Having only made one main appearance in the MCU, Ultron is widely regarded as one of the franchise's most wasted villains. Despite Spader delivering a fantastic voice performance, Ultron was far removed from his Marvel Comics counterpart, and unused concept art from Avengers: Age of Ultron even showcased a much more terrifying and formidable version of the villain that didn't make it into the movie.

Agatha All Along executive producer Brad Winderbaum opens up on seeing more Agatha Harkness in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of the breakout characters in the MCU timeline was Kathryn Hahn's performance as the Marvel villainess. The great reception to Agatha led Marvel Television to bring the character back, but this time in her own spinoff series, Agatha All Along.

The Phase 5 TV show focuses on Agatha forming her own coven as she seeks to reclaim her power after the WandaVision ending. Agatha All Along will also be another opportunity for the MCU to explore the more supernatural corner of the franchise. Joss Whedon's large-scale action picture "Avengers: Age of Ultron" was released in theaters in the spring of 2015, and it featured a gaggle of Marvel superheroes teaming up to fight the eponymous evil super-robot. Ultron (voiced by James Spader) was an artificial intelligence accidentally created by Iron Man while he was constructing a global, spacebound security system intended to make superhero-ing easier. Upon achieving consciousness, Ultron spends about two minutes on the internet and instantly decided that humanity needed to be wiped out, shunting its own consciousness into a series of robot bodies and going about its wicked business. The Avengers, naturally, smash up all the Ultron bots.

Marvel's Agatha All Along will draw inspiration from several spooky cinematic sources.

Following Marvel's D23 presentation, GamesRadar unveiled part of Kathryn Hahn and her co-stars' interview with Total Film regarding what fans can expect from a depowered Agatha Harkness in her WandaVision spinoff. Aesthetically, Hahn's co-star Joe Locke teased every Agatha All Along episode imitating "a different classic horror/thriller film that it is basing itself off," citing The Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby as primary examples. He was also excited by the show's tribute to The Goonies, teasing, "There was one day that Jac sent Kevin a picture of something, and he replied literally saying, 'Oh my God, it's The Goonies.' So, that one for me was the big one."

Marvel Studios' Marvel Animation panel just wrapped up at D23 and we’re disappointed to report that none of the footage shown to fans at the event has been shared online. It’s not all bad news, though, as we do have some big MCU updates for you.

An X-Men '97 season 2 sizzle reel kicked things off and confirmed the team will wear the black and yellow uniforms from Grant Morrison’s New X-Men run.

The preview then revealed plans for characters like Apocalypse, Bishop, Danger, Mariko, Polaris and Warlock to appear when the critically acclaimed revival returns to Disney+ in the not-too-distant future.

It was also confirmed that What If...? season 3 will be the show’s last. Oscar Isaac is set to reprise his role as Moon Knight, with Ironheart and White Vision now set to appear. One episode will see a team led by Captain America control Gundham-style mechs to battle Gamma Monsters.

Marvel Zombies just got some significant updates out of D23. Originating in a comic book storyline from Ultimate Fantastic Four, Marvel Zombies became a major storyline of its own for Marvel Comics, with a critically acclaimed miniseries running from 2005 to 2006, subsequently spawning multiple sequels, spin-offs, and merchandising. Fans got their first glimpse of Marvel Zombies in Season 1 of What If...? titled "What If... Zombies?!" on September 8, 2021, before Marvel Zombies was officially confirmed as its own animated series in development at Disney+ Day on November 2021.

During the Marvel Animations panel at D23 on Saturday, it was confirmed that Marvel Zombies will be a four-episode event with a TV-ma rating (via Empire Magazine.) It has also been confirmed that the series is a follow-up to the What If...? episode, with a clip showing Shang-Chi, Wenwu, and Katy fighting off zombie hordes with the Ten Rings before flashing forward five years into an apocalyptic future.

A new theory suggests that T'Challa's Black Panther could be recast in Avengers: Secret Wars. T'Challa has a major role in Marvel Comics' 2015 Secret Wars event, so it would be great to bring him back for Avengers: Secret Wars. Casting Michael B. Jordan as T'Challa would be a great way to pay homage to Chadwick Boseman's portrayal, while utilizing the talented actor much better than his previous one-and-done villain role.

Marvel Studios has the perfect opportunity to recast T'Challa's Black Panther in Avengers: Secret Wars, according to a new MCU theory. After Chadwick Boseman's tragic passing in 2020, questions emerged about whether Marvel Studios would recast T'Challa in the MCU or not. Boseman portrayed T'Challa, the King of Wakanda and the Black Panther, in four feature films, and also made posthumous appearances in 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and the animated What If...? series, so his passing sent shockwaves through the franchise.

Scarlet Witch should have a solo movie to redeem herself after being portrayed as a villain in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Scarlet Witch's image needs fixing, and a solo movie could provide the time and focus necessary for her redemption arc. Agatha All Along may not be the best place for Wanda to return to life due to other plot focuses.

X-Men '97 has finally tapped a new writer who will take over as the showrunner for season 3, which is currently in development.

Before the series premiered, the original head writer Beau DeMayo was notably fired by Marvel Studios after working for two seasons. Up to this day, it is still unknown why he was let go from the position.

Since then, fans have been curious to find out which new writer Marvel will hire to take over the daunting task of continuing the show's acclaimed run in its upcoming seasons.

Marvel's animated What If...? series has completed many alternate realities in the MCU, from T'Challa becoming Star-Lord to the Avengers assembling in 1602. Its latest project, however, will contemplate perhaps its most expansive question yet - what if you were the hero of the MCU? Marvel Studios and Ilm Immersive just unveiled the first-ever Disney+ interactive original, What If? An Immersive Story, which places fans in the driver's seat for an hour-long multiversal adventure to save all of reality with help from The Watcher and the Sorcerer Supreme Wong. It's set to release on May 30 as a free app for a limited time exclusively on the Apple Vision Pro.

Alternate realities and hypothetical timelines are part of the comics industry's bread and butter. They've been around since the earliest days of the genre, especially in superhero comics at DC and Marvel. Both companies feature a "prime" universe, with the main version of the characters everyone knows and loves. However, these primary universes exist in a multiverse, with thousands of possible variations. Often times, this leads to certain other universes, like DC's Earth-2 and Marvel's Ultimate Universe getting the spotlight. Sometimes, however, alternate realities will get a brief, but memorable, spotlight.

Marvel's What If comics explored this exact concept. They took a pivotal moment in a character's story and changed things slightly, and explored this new reality. These were brief, single issue stories that were tons of fun and pretty popular. It is therefore no surprise that Marvel eventually adapted them with the What If...? Disney+ animated series, which instead...

Following X-Men '97's season 1 finale, What If...? season 3 is likely up next from Marvel Animation. Marvel Zombies updates have been few and far between, but Marvel Studios executive Brad Winderbaum has shared new Eyes of Wakanda and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man details.

The latter was unveiled during the San Diego Comic-Con in 2022, while news of the Black Panther spin-off came our way last December. 

We've previously heard that the animated series will follow brave warriors tasked to travel the world retrieving dangerous Vibranium artefacts throughout Wakandan history. Thanks to ComicBook.com (via Toonado.com), we now have some specifics. 

"Eyes of Wakanda is an MCU show," Winderbaum confirmed. "This is the history of Wakanda as told through the War Dogs, and it is some of the best animation we've ever done. Todd Harris is the creator of that one. That's just such a cool show."

Different versions of Captain America have been played by four actors in Marvel Studios' live-action and animated projects. Chris Evans, Wyatt Russell, and Anthony Mackie have all portrayed Captain America in the McU's live-action storylines. Josh Keaton voices Captain America in Marvel Studios' animated media, including What If...? and X-Men '97.

Four brilliant actors have portrayed different iterations of Captain America in the live-action and animated storylines of the MCU. Captain America was one of Marvel Comics' original superheroes, with Steve Rogers being introduced as a World War II hero in 1940's Captain America Comics #1. Originally a frail and scrawny citizen, Steve Rogers became Captain America after being enhanced with an experimental super-soldier serum, enhancing all of his physical attributes to forge him into a peak human specimen. This storyline unfolded in Marvel Studios' Captain America: The First Avenger in Phase 1, bringing the star-spangled man-with-a-plan into the live-action MCU.
