Prime Video’s partnership with Starz continues as the latter has launched a Starz-bet+ bundle on the Amazon-owned streaming platform for $15.99 per month — marking savings of approximately 30%.

The bundle offers subscribers in the U.S. access to original BET+ series, including “All The Queens Men,” Tyler Perry’s “Zatima,” “The Ms. Pat Show” and “Diarra From Detroit.” It also includes a collection of Perry stage plays, all seasons of his “The Oval,” “Assisted Living” and “Ruthless,” and recent seasons of “Sistas,” Dr. Holly Carter and Devon Franklin’s “Kingdom Business,” the BET Awards and BET Hip Hop Awards, all seasons of Carl Weber’s “The Family Business” and “Black Hamptons” and an extensive collection of Black films and original holiday movies.

Dermot Mulroney has been cast in NBC’s Chicago Fire as Chief Dom Pascal for the upcoming thirteenth season.

As Deadline revealed exclusively in June, the hit Wolf Entertainment firefighter drama was adding a new series regular character to lead 51 following the exit of Eamonn Walker — who had played Battalion Chief Wallace Boden for 12 seasons — as a series regular at the end of Season 12.

No official details about Mulroney’s characters have been revealed. According to sources, Dom Pascal began his career with the Cfd but spent the last decade as a chief in Sunny Miami. Described as a cheerful person who works well under pressure, and whose leadership style differs from Boden’s, Pascal is estranged from his wife.

Before Boden was promoted to Deputy Commissioner of the Chicago Fire Department, he had chosen Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) as his successor.

Tyler Perry is taking his shows to more viewers by launching two new channels on streaming services you probably use all the time! BET just announced the arrival of BET Tyler Perry Comedy and BET Tyler Perry Drama channels on Fast platforms like Pluto TV, Roku, Freevee, and more.

These new channels will feature over 600 hours of Tyler Perry content from all his popular shows on BET over the years. You’ll find marathons and clips from hits like Sistas, The Oval, House of Payne, Ruthless, Zatima, and Assisted Living. Even more shows like Meet the Browns, The Haves and the Have Nots, and Too Close to Home will be added later.

BET president Louis Carr said this launch is a big moment in their partnership with Perry. It will let more Black audiences enjoy Tyler Perry’s work and offer more viewing options. The shows being free with ads makes them super accessible too.

The Paramount-owned (for now, at least) outlet is launching two Fast channels that will feature episodes of the prolific Perry’s BET and BET+ series. The two channels, straightforwardly titled BET Tyler Perry Drama and BET Tyler Perry Comedy, will feature all of Perry’s BET output on a free streaming platform for the first time.

The two channels will have some 600 hours’ worth of episodes from Perry’s series Sistas, The Oval, House of Payne, Ruthless, All the Queen’s Men, Zatima, Assisted Living and Bruh. Other series that Perry produced for TBS and OWN before signing a megadeal with BET — including Meet the Browns, The Haves and the Have Nots and For Better or Worse — will join the Fast channels later.

Saban Films has acquired the rights to Art Camacho’s action thriller “Ruthless” starring Dermot Mulroney and Javier Reyna’s “Palido” starring Kellan Lutz.

Saban will distribute the titles throughout North America, the United Kingdom, Germany, Benelux and Australia. Jonathan Saba, Cco of Saban Films, negotiated the deal with Devin Carter, SVP of sales at Premiere Entertainment.

“Ruthless” follows a high school coach (Mulroney) who takes matters into his own hands by going after the men who kidnap his female student for their human trafficking operation, according to a snyopsis.

In addition to Mulroney, “Ruthless” also stars Jeff Fahey. Reyna, James Dean Simington and Camacho penned the film, while Elias Axume, Al Bravo, HemDee Kiwanuka and Camacho produced the film.

“Palido” follows an attorney (Lutz) with a military past, who focuses on finding and killing the gang that murdered his wife and kidnapped his daughter.

The pic is currently shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. Filmmaker Art Camacho is directing from an original screenplay by Niko Foster, who also stars in the pic.

The film’s plot follows a dishonorably discharged ex-marine named Tony, now turned car mechanic, whose life takes an unexpected turn when his reckless brother makes a bad decision gaining the unwanted attention of a notorious crime boss.

Foster produces for Chasing Butterflies Pictures alongside Al Bravo for Al Bravo Films. Additional producers include Colin Bates, Eduard Osipov, Michael Pizzimenti, and Hemdee Kiwanuka. Stuart Alson, Nicole Holland, and Elias Axume, Premiere Entertainment CEO, serve as executive producers. Jiarui Guo and Michelle Wang Deppe co-produce.

Exclusive: Dermot Mulroney has signed on to star in action-thriller Ruthless which starts principal photography in Nevada on October 24.

Additional cast is being finalised on the project, which Premiere Entertainment (Peg) is launching for sales ahead of next month’s AFM.

Art Camacho directs the feature from his screenplay co-written with James Dean Simington. The story follows a high school coach (Mulroney), traumatised by the death of his daughter, who takes matters into his own hands by going after the men who kidnap one of his students for a sex trafficking operation.

Elias Axume is producing for Peg with Al Bravo of Al Bravo Films. Carlos Rincon serves as executive producer for Peg alongside Bryan Foster.

Recent Peg productions include Palido with Kellan Lutz, Shrapnel with Jason Patric, and Black Warrant with Tom Berenger and Cam Gigandet. All three films are currently in post-production.
