But I didn't know what to be expecting. Found it on Amazon and it sounded odd enough for my liking. I like sci-fi and horror, usually not so much with comedy involved, but Iron Nest made it work. It's low budget but just a good time and the writing is weird (in a good way). The cast is a big part of what makes it memorable. It even has Amanda Wyss (from the original Nightmare on Elm Street, Fast Times, Better Off Dead, The Id), and I wasn't expecting that. She's so funny. Actually they're all so funny. Ivy Jones also had a cameo.
A couple of the segments are more dramatic and I appreciate that diversity. It's an anthology based on dreams, I guess of the writers? But there's also a bit of a throughline towards the end.
The shaving scene had me laughing (yes, I'm warped). That whole bit was surreal and I wasn't sure what to make of it. But that was why I enjoyed it.
Also loved the homage to female rock stars in the segment "Keep the Dream Dead." Check out the female character names. Ok Ok I'm pretty sure, though, that "Alice" is actually named after the one legendary male shock rock star named Alice, so that amuses.
The Sandwoman's makeup is great.
Don't expect it to change the world and I think you'll likely enjoy it.

Iron Nest of the Moon is kind of an erie mysterious and yet comical anthology about dreams that is hosted by Sandy the Sandwomen! Gave me Tales from the Crypt meets Twilight Zone vibes. Overall it was a very fun, odd, and erie good time. I really apreciated Sandy the Sandwomen and her role (she collects eyes of dreamers for her children👀). I found each story to be entertaining. I would watch this again and tell others to as well.
I was happily surprised to see Kerr Lordygan he has been in many indie films, plays, and co-wrote the hard rock musical Gothmas. He is a fun artistic genius that has a love for all things a bit off the wall and punk rock🤘 he has wrote and sang; Fight the Fight,Your Opinions Encrazed, Love Just Never Found You , A Song That's Nice ,Gods of Guilt and Loyalty. That's just to name of few he has collaborated with many other performers as well.

The Iron Nest of the Moon is such a fun movie! There were lots of twists and turns, in all the stories of this anthology, and really kept me engaged. It's artistic, funny, modern, yet classic. One story is sort of film noir, dark and stylized, but really contrasty. I thought this was great and made me think of those old classic movies where the tone is set in the opening credits.
Sandy's delivery reminded me of Rod Serling, the whole anthology was cleverly done, you think one thing is happening but all of a sudden the plot twists and it's headed down a different path. And the actors are all amazing.
This is a great way to immerse yourself in a few great stories and have fun watching. It's awesome!

Loved all the different stories and characters. They were all interesting and kept me wanting more. Such cool ideas from one to the next. Sort of like a Tales from the Darkside vain. Really enjoyed this one! Cool cast and writing.
The special effects were great and realistic. Some of the stories were funny and some were dark and haunting. I really wanted to know more and the why behind the writing. I am wondering if some of the writing was inspired by a dream? It seemed fantasy like... Some of the stories made me laugh, but some were super creepy and I loved that! Great job with this. I can't wait to see what this team produces next!

I don't normally pay for Amazon content but it sounded cool. It's actually kind of funny even though it's set up like an anthology series a la Twilight Zone. But I also enjoyed the odd throughline of the host. Her birdlike makeup was cool. I'd like to see more of this, some kind of sequel with more wild "dream" stories. The character development and special effects were high quality and top notch. I really enjoyed the acting and writing, which were very entertaining. The story was interesting and unusual, definitely something I would recommend to others. I am very excited to see what they do next!

- TriviaThe lead characters in the "Keep the Dream Dead" segment (the women, anyway) are all named after rock stars. And actor Kerr Lordygan wears an Alice Cooper shirt in one scene, which clarifies the lead character "Alice" is named after him. The other rocker names are female rock star tributes (Lita, Ann, Grace, Stevie, Lzzy and...Alice). There's also a reference to Stephen Pearcy of Ratt.
