I watched this with my 9yo daughter, we both loved it and watched it all in one go!
Really good, great acting from the kids, hope they'll be another season, it's definitely left us wanting more.

If you are waiting for a stranger things season 4 to come out this is a really good in-between. I can see it getting better with time and this is made for tweens in mind so yes the writing is not par to ST but it is light enough and suspenseful enough to hold your attention as you wait. I can't wait for the next season.
There are some odd reviews from people who seemed to be expecting a British answer to 'Stranger Things' and who didn't even realise this is a kids programme. To be clear: This was aired on CBBC, it is aimed at pre teens. As a kids programme this is great TV, as can be expected from the BBC, its is designed to educate, inform and entertain.
The ideas may not be original, and the acting may be a little naive, but for my 10 year old programmes which introduce ideas around alien life, time travel. And the nature of reality, are very welcome. This is enjoyable, relatable and thought provoking, infinitely better than most of the typically trite offerings on most of the streaming services.

Bearing in mind the audience age group that CBBC shows are aimed at, I have to say Silverpoint exceeded our expectations, our whole family was riveted to season 1....twice through! Thank you iplayer!
As a lifelong scifi fan, from an adult point of view I enjoyed this immensely on several levels, storytelling, cast performances, production values, full of suspense, contrasting light and dark moments, intrigue, mystery, twists and turns and left me aching for season 2!
Our 6 and 10 year olds, (both fans of a certain time traveller in a blue box) became so invested in the story we had to drag them away from the tv and limit them to 3 episodes at a time!
We've not enjoyed watching a show so much together as a family in a long time! More please, we gotta know what happens next!
The highest star rating I seem to be able to select is 8 for some reason. Take that as 100% !!!
