Thalapathy 63 title revealed, Vijay's next is called 'Bigil'
KollywoodThe poster shows Vijay in two get-ups.Tnm StaffThe title for Vijay's latest film Thalapathy 63 was announced on Friday. Titled Bigil, the poster shows Vijay in two get-ups, one an elderly man in a veshti and shirt, and the other a young footballer. The two of them strike a pose in what looks like a fish market, with the older man looking grim and menacing. Directed by Atlee, the film is described to be a "sports action thriller" and also has Nayanthara in the lead. Others in the cast include Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Vivek, Daniel Balaji, Varsha Bollamma, Anandraj and others. Bigil is expected to release for Deepavali 2019. The last two Deepavalis have also belonged to Vijay, with Mersal and Sarkar setting the box-office on fire. The film has music by Ar Rahman and has been produced by Ags Entertainment. This is Vijay's third collaboration with Atlee, the first two being Theri and Mersal.

Actor, director and choreographer Prabhu Deva and his wife Ramlath alias Latha, who were married for 15 years, have been granted a divorce by the Chennai Court last Thursday. The divorce was by mutual consent. Prabhu and Latha got married in 1995 and have two kids. The couple had been living separately for the past few years, after Prabhu got involved with Southern actress Nayanthara during the making of their film Villu in 2009. The news about their plans to separate became evident when Latha filed a petition in the family court seeking for restoration of conjugal rights against Prabhu. Latha, who was also an actress before marriage, alleged that Prabhu was neglecting his family and did not provide even the minimum financial assistance to family members. As per the divorce agreement, Prabhu has paid Rs. 10 lakhs to her as permanent alimony. He has also transferred his property along with two cars to her name.

Most of the biggies failed us badly as none of them turned to make at least 10 days in box office.

The year 2009 has been a bitterly bounded year for Kollywood as well the ardent buffs, who eagerly expected more from these films. But unfortunately most of them let our hopes down.

Villu: The terrifying film of this film. Churned out at a cost of Rs.40Crores, Ayngaran Productions have literally planned not to make another film with Vijay. The film didn’t fetch half the production cost at box office.

Vettaikaran: Oops! Vijay seems to be the pathetic artist of 2009 as both his films have been adjudged as the horrible flops in 2009. One of the leading theatre’s own in Chennai had to lament right on the third day that the actor himself...

Vijay and Surya on the rash race
When the ‘Singam’ roars and ‘Sura’ strikes – maybe this will be the most happening title that one can witness if both the films are hitting screens together. According to the sources, both Surya’s ‘Singam’ and Vijay’s ‘Sura’ is getting released on April 14.

For Surya, this will be a crucial film as his previous commercial film ‘Aadhavan’ wasn’t a great hit (though collections were pretty good). On pars, Vijay’s ‘Vettaikaran’ can be regarded something special than the previous flops – ‘Kuruvi’ and ‘Villu’.

The biggest flash news about these films are about the directors completing the shoot within short span of time.
