‘The Grace of God:’ 45 Parishioners Survive Deadly Tornado That Ravaged Church
By the Grace of God (2009)
About 45 Texas parishioners are grateful to be alive after a deadly tornado touched down on Saturday night, crushing most of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church as they gathered to honor high school graduates, CNN reports.

“The tornado was a direct hit,” Peyton Low, a director of public affairs for the Diocese of Tyler, told the station. “Both ends of the building were blown out.”

Low said the worshippers received a warning to take cover as the storm approached in Emory, according to CNN. So, they decided to gather in a hallway between the parish hall and the church’s main area.

John Mayer
Modern Pop Songs Written About Exes
John Mayer
John Mayer has a new song, “Still Feel Like Your Man,” which he’s described as being explicitly about Katy Perry. Not only does it add to Mayer’s back catalog of breakup songs — see below — but it also adds to the modern canon of pop breakup songs we know are about certain people. Carly Simon’s decades-long tease about who’s at the center of “You’re So Vain” (or, well, the second verse, anyway) — maybe the most famous of that genre — ended in 2015. But since then, there have been any number of songs by pop stars that throw a little shade at exes,...

Katy Perry took over the Grammys stage for the fifth time Sunday night, when she gave her new song “Chained to the Rhythm” its live debut.

The track officially debuted Friday, but Perry gave fans a chance to hear it early via music-playing disco balls she planted around the world.

The high-energy performance featured a house and fence with a series of dancers moving the set pieces across the stage. Perry, 32, wore a black and white pantsuit with white tennis shoes for the performance.

Although Perry wasn’t up for any awards this year — her last studio album, Prism, came...

The BFI has announced the recipients of its 2016-18 Vision Awards, comprising 22 investments in up-and-coming UK producers.

Susanne Khan I wasnt invited to Hrithiks birthday party
Hrithik Roshan
There was a lot of talk about the supremely serene Susanne Khan attending her ex-husband superstar Hrithik Roshan's 42nd birthday bash on Saturday night.

All hogwash, apparently planted by over-zealous supporters of the star.

In an exclusive clarification, Susanne broke her habitual silence to say she had no intention of attending her former husband's party, and that she wasn't even invited.

Explains Susanne, "My relationship with Hrithik is wonderful in regard to our kids. We are good parents and that is our priority regarding each other. But we don't socialize or hang out together as friends."

The soft-spoken former Mrs. Roshan, who officially separated from her husband in December 2013 after a 14-year marriage, had faced similar speculation in October 2014 when she celebrated her birthday. It was being said that Hrithik would attend his former wife's birthday.

Says Susanne, "I understand him not inviting me. We don't invite each other to our birthdays.

GRAMMYs Performers Get Serious: Address 'Hands Up, Don't Shoot' Protests and Domestic Violence
Pharrell Williams
The GRAMMYs are all about two things: Celebrating musical accomplishments and solving all of the country's problems?

At this year's Grammy Awards, the stars, celebs and special guests got socially conscious, and in more ways than just the somber tone of almost every performance.

Photos: See the 2015 Grammy Award Winners!

From police brutality to domestic violence, a number of important social issues were thrust into the spotlight. Here's a look at the seven Grammy presenters who tried to raise awareness of the issues closest to their hearts.

1. Pharrell Williams: R&B singer/producer Pharrell Williams traded in his cadre of excitable dancing children for a group to adults wearing black hoodies and raising their hands in the air for his strikingly different performance of "Happy." It was a reference to the "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" protest gesture, originating in the wake of Michael Brown's fatal shooting in Ferguson, Mo. last year.

Fresh off her high-energy Super Bowl performance, Katy Perry gave the audience a taste of her softer side at the 2015 Grammy Awards.  The 30-year-old pop star performed her hit "By the Grace of God" at the 57th Annual ceremony, where she used her public platform to shed a light on an important issue: domestic violence.  Domestic abuse survivor Brooke Axtell opened Perry's performance by sharing her story with the crowd. "If you are in a relationship with someone that does not honor or respect you, I want you to know that you are worthy of love," she said.  Perry then took to the stage in a white cape gown reminiscent of Gwyneth Paltrow's 2012 Oscar...

One week after her eye-catching Super Bowl halftime show, Katy Perry made a big statement with her Grammys performance. The pop star turned her Prism ballad "By the Grace of God" into an anthem for overcoming domestic abuse. The segment began with a taped video from President Obama urging the end of "violence against women and girls" as a way to "change our culture for the better." "It's not Ok and it has to stop," Obama added, citing statistics of women who were the victims of attempted rape or domestic violence. He then alluded to the influence

Is Christoph Waltz the New James Bond Villain?
Well, it looks like the still-untitled Bond 24 has found its villain. According to Daily Mail columnist (and caps lock enthusiast) Baz Bamigboye, the two-time Academy Award-winning actor has signed on for the new James Bond adventure, to once again star Daniel Craig (working for his "Skyfall" director Sam Mendes). According to Bamigboye, the shoot starts in early December and shooting locations include Morocco, Austria, Italy, London and Mexico.

Even though this is still very much speculation, if it is true, it's pretty perfect, huh? Waltz oozes charm and sophistication and can turn on the malevolence pretty high if he wants to (like in his first Oscar-winning role in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds," as the evil Nazi "Jew Hunter"). He is going to be a great Bond bad guy.

Waltz, who can next be seen in "Horrible Bosses 2" and in Tim Burton's terrific Christmas Day release "Big Eyes,...

"So I started putting on makeup. And they started writing 'Wow, someone really likes being in front of the camera,' and 'Her hair's done now for coffee.' I couldn't do anything right.

The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting Covers Cosmo
I find it rather amazing how stars of long-running series jump in and out of the main focus of public attention, and The Big Bang Theory itself, and all of its stars are prime examples. Though continuously popular, the show has wandered through its share of moments when it seemed a mighty backlash was hanging around just outside the door, and the stars have gone through highs and lows of general interest as well.

Of course, real world events can shift the focus as much as anything that happens on a show, especially when the show itself, wonderful as it may be, is rather old news.

Thus, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting graces the cover of Cosmo this month, on newsstands April 8th, and talks about dating, getting married rather suddenly, and breast implants.

Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, star of TV’s number one comedy The Big Bang Theory, is our May cover girl, on stands April 8th!

Perry, who was married to British comedian Russell Brand for 14 months before they parted ways in 2011, says she found her strength in the track, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"Imagine what happens when you go through a break-up. We all go through break-ups and we all get very depressed and desperate. The lyrics are very exact and autobiographical," Entertainment Weekly magazine quoted Perry as saying.

"That's how I write. But the one thing about those lyrics is you can hear me finding my strength throughout the song. It starts off really low and then I kind of stand up for myself and say, 'No!'," she added.

"By the grace of god" is from Perry's album Prism. She is currently dating singer John Mayer.

Now at the age of 28 Katy has hit international stardom and her name is known everywhere.

With every album Katy Perry releases, comes a new part of her personality that she is willing to show to her fans. Prism has a completely different feel to any of her three other studio albums. Katy Perry at an event for Katy Perry: Part of Me (2012)
Katy Perry’s fourth studio album, “Prism,” finds her recovering from her divorce from Russell Brand and headed straight into love again... this time with John Mayer and, hopefully, with better results. “Prism,” out Tuesday (22), is filled with lessons learned and self affirmations, and part of the fun is voyeuristically listening to tracks and knowing they’re about Brand or Mayer. The pop priestess lays herself bare on a number of these tunes including the confessional “By the Grace of God” and jubilantly romantic “Double Rainbow.” Working with a range of producers from Dr. Luke to Stargate, Cirkut, Benny Blanco and Klas...
