Edna Barron, who played the waitress, improvised all her lines, which added the comedic tone to the beginning scene. Originally in the screenplay, her line consisted of only "Need anymore more coffee?" and "Let me know if you need anything else?"

Goofs
Zac Rich, who plays Ellison, actually flubbed his lines during the coffee scene in which he accuses Jeremiah of drinking whiskey. But the flub actually incorporates seamlessly, adding to the tiredness of the character.
