Jay Som Announces First New Album in Six Years, 2025 Tour Dates
Image
Jay Som has returned with the announcement of Belong, her first new album in six years, and a headlining 2025 US tour. As a preview, she’s also shared a pair of songs from the record: “Float” featuring Jimmy Eat World’s Jim Adkins and “A Million Reasons Why.” Stream both tracks below.

Dropping on October 10th via Polyvinyl Record Co., Belong is the follow-up to Melina Duterte’s excellent 2019 album, Anak Ko. Duterte wrote, composed, performed, produced, engineered, and mixed the record, which marks her first project to feature guest vocalists. In addition to Adkins, Paramore’s Hayley Williams and Mini Trees’ Lexi Vega lent their voices to the new album.

Duterte also collaborated with key contributors Joao Gonzalez (of Soft Glas) and Mal Hauser (known for working with Mk.gee and Illuminati Hotties) on Belong. “When you try something for the first time, you’re always going to hold some type of fear,...

Image
Jay Som is ready to bring us back into her world, or rejoin us in ours. On Oct. 10, the musician will share the full-length LP Belong as her first album in six years. During her absence, the singer-songwriter and producer worked behind the scenes as a collaborator with Lucy Dacus, Troye Sivan, Boygenius, and more, but largely kept her distance from her position as a leading character in indie rock. Now, Jay Som is back to reclaim her place with “A Million Reasons Why” and “Float,” her collaboration with Jimmy Eat World’s Jim Adkins.

After Everybody Loves Raymond, Patricia Heaton Starred In This Underrated Sitcom Series
Image
If you were as big a fan of Linwood Boomer's "Malcolm in the Middle" — the family sitcom that was recently renewed for a revival — as I was when I was growing up, you certainly felt the gap the show left behind when it ended in 2006. There were a lot of great sitcoms in the mid and late aughts, but very few managed to capture that family-centred narrative and silly vibe that "Malcolm" almost singularly represented. For me, the one that came closest was Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline's "The Middle." The series stars the wonderful "Everybody Loves Raymond's" Patricia Heaton, "Scrubs'" Neil Flynn, and three child/teen actors who were just getting their feet wet in the huge pond of American television.

"The Middle," which ran on ABC from 2009 to 2018 for 9 seasons, followed the everyday lives of the Hecks, a barely middle-class family in the fictional town of Orson,...

‘Superman’ Director James Gunn Created Spotify Playlists for Clark Kent, Lex Luthor and More | Audio
Image
Ahead of the film’s release next week, DC Studios Co-Chief James Gunn reveals what music his “Superman” characters listen to, partnering with Spotify to create personalized playlists for each character in the upcoming movie.

The curated playlists reveal what Clark Kent, Lex Luthor, Eve Teschmacher, Metamorpho, and The Engineer would listen to, with each selection hand-picked by Gunn himself. He also recorded commentary explaining his choices for every track.

“I’m obsessive about music so I am excited to have partnered with Spotify and created a character playlist: What the characters from Superman listen to,” Gunn said. “I probably had more fun doing this than anything else I’ve done in the past couple of years… I had to really think about who they were as people and imagine what kind of music they’d be into.”

.@Spotify asked me to create playlists for many of the characters in #Superman,...

What The Middle's Canceled Spin-Off Would Have Been About
Image
The 2009 ABC sitcom "The Middle" was never a major ratings hit, but it was never a ratings bust either. It might've always been under the shadow of "Modern Family," but it still sailed smoothly to nine full seasons, something few other shows can brag about. In fact, "The Middle" had a strong enough fan base that ABC nearly gave it a spinoff. There were plenty of spinoff options for the writers, too: maybe they could've followed the awkward Brick (Atticus Shaffer) as he made his way through college, or they could've followed Frankie (Patricia Heaton) and Mike (Neil Flynn) as they coped with being empty nesters.

Instead, Sue (Eden Sher) was chosen as the main character going forward. The spinoff was titled "Sue Sue in the City," and it would follow twentysomething Sue getting into all sorts of awkward hijinks in Chicago. "It took place, like, three years in the future,...

The Real Reason Erik Per Sullivan Didn't Return For The Malcolm In The Middle Revival
Image
"Life is unfair," at least according to They Might Be Giants' catchy theme song for "Malcolm in the Middle." Those words rang true when the series premiered 25 years ago and went on a seven-season run that followed the titular high Iq genius Malcolm as he tried (and often failed) to deal with his chaotic family. "Malcolm in the Middle" distinguished itself from other sitcoms with its incredible sense of humor while still remaining grounded in the reality of the family's economic difficulties. It was also a rare single camera comedy shot without a laugh track or in-studio audience, lending a further sense of reality to the more manufactured and artificial sitcoms it was competing against.

In the show's perfect series finale, Malcolm discovers that his mom Lois believes he is destined to become President of the United States, but only if he has to suffer and struggle to rise out...

Image
Returning Malcolm in the Middlestar Bryan Cranston is excited to be back as Hal in the sitcom's revival. But the actor is also explaining to fans why Erik Per Sullivan isn't coming back as Dewey.

Per Entertainment Weekly, Cranston said that Sullivan decided to be "the only one who didn't come back to act" in the upcoming Malcolm in the Middle revival. "I talked to Erik and I said, 'Hey, we got the show! It's going to come back.' He goes, 'Oh, that's fantastic!' And I go, 'Yeah, so we're looking forward to having you back.' He goes, 'Oh, no, no, I don't want to do it. But it's fantastic.'"

"He's actually going to Harvard," Cranston continued. "He's really, really smart, and he's getting his Master's at Harvard right now. He said, 'Oh God, no, I haven't acted since I was nine or something. So I'm not into it.

Why Malcolm In The Middle's Biggest Missing Og Star Isn't Returning For The Revival Revealed By Bryan Cranston
Image
One of the main cast members of Malcolm in the Middle isn't returning for the upcoming revival series, and Bryan Cranston (Hal) recently revealed why. Almost the entire cast of Malcolm in the Middle is returning for the recently announced Malcolm in the Middle revival series. The revival will focus on the same family almost two decades after the ending of Malcolm in the Middle, as Malcolm (Frankie Muniz) and his brothers return for their parents' wedding anniversary. Not all the brothers are coming back, though, and Bryan Cranston has shared some insight into why that is.

While speaking on Dana Carvey and David Spade's podcast "Fly on the Wall," Bryan Cranston revealed why Erik Per Sullivan, who played Dewey in Malcolm in the Middle, won't appear in the upcoming revival.

"I talked to Erik and I said, 'Hey, we got the show! It's going to come back.' He goes,...

Why Marvel's Black Panther Video Game Was Canceled By EA
Image
Superhero movies are on the brink. What was recently the dominant form of cinematic output, the boon and bane of every studio in Hollywood, has become the source of endless disappointment, with a few remaining exceptions. We have argued in the past that superhero movies should take a break, but while Hollywood doesn't seem to care as long as they continue to have hope that the next "Avengers: Endgame" is right around the corner, the situation in the world of video games is different.

Earlier this year, we learned that video game publisher Electronic Arts games had canceled a Black Panther game from developer Cliffhanger Games, based on one of the best-received Marvel movies of all time, an absolute triumph of superhero filmmaking. Not only is the game never seeing the light of day, but EA also shut down the entire developer studio.

According to IGN, the reasoning behind the...

Bryan Cranston Teases "Fun" 'Malcolm in the Middle' Revival at Disney+
Image
He may be recognized these days thanks to his portrayal of Walter White in Breaking Bad, but long before Bryan Cranston became a meth cook in the popular AMC series, he was dad to Frankie Muniz on Malcolm in the Middle. Now, nearly 20 years since the sitcom left the airwaves, it's returning for a four-episode revival later this year that Cranston recently described as "fun."

Speaking with People at a recent event for his Apple TV+ series The Studio, the subject of the Malcolm in the Middle revival came up. In addition to Cranston, the core cast will also be returning, save for Erik Per Sullivan, whose character of Dewey had to be recast after the young star left the business some years ago. Still, Cranston said that getting the band back together again after nearly 20 years was an experience like no other:

"Slipping back into that character of Hal...

‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ Hits 500 Episodes: Secrets of the “Spirit Tunnel” Revealed
Image
Within minutes of stepping onto the Warner Bros. lot of The Jennifer Hudson show, this THR reporter stumbles upon an impromptu rehearsal in a hallway that’s instantly recognizable from social media. “Do you want to watch the spirit tunnel?” asks a staffer. That would be a resounding yes for witnessing in person the now-not-so-secret weapon behind the success and longevity of the show: Instead of walk-on music, guests are greeted with a sing-on of a surprise tune performed by the staff, who create a Soul Train-style runway, or “spirit tunnel,” for guests to walk through.

The guests for the pretaped episode are Bowen Yang, Lily Gladstone, Kelly Marie Tran and Han Gi-Chan, and the daytime talk show’s staff has remixed the lyrics of Jagged Edge’s “Let’s Get Married” to incorporate the title of their new rom-com, The Wedding Banquet. As this reporter narrowly escapes being caught...

Saban Films has acquired the North American rights to the “off-the-wall” horror film Traumatika for a theatrical release later this year.

Mikey’s night terrors become reality when his mother begins showing signs of demonic possession. What he’s about to experience will haunt him for the rest of his life and claim countless lives across generations.

Pierre Tsigaridis (Two Witches) directs from a script he co-wrote with producer Maxime Rancon (Two Witches).

Rebekah Kennedy (Two Witches), Emily Goss, Ranen Navat, Aj Bowen (You’re Next), Sean O’Bryan (“The Middle”), Susan Gayle Watts, and Sean Whalen (The People Under the Stairs) star.

“Traumatika is not a movie you see – it’s a movie you experience. And there’s no better way to experience it than on the big screen,” said Saban co-presidents Jonathan Saba and Shanan Becker. “It’s hard to prepare yourself for the highly disturbing film that Pierre and Maxime have created.

Maren Morris Talks Coachella Sets With Zedd and the LA Philharmonic: “I Feel Like I Just Got My Voice Back”
Image
Maren Morris is still taking in her Coachella performance after gracing the stage of the music festival two nights in a row this past weekend.

“I feel like I just got my voice back today — thank God, because I had all these interviews — yesterday was like my recovery, don’t talk day,” Morris tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve never had that much time at Coachella. The last time I’d done it was 2019, and I just came out and did ‘The Middle’ with Zedd, but this time I was doing the LA Philharmonic on Saturday, and then Zedd’s set Sunday night, and it was just so fun.”

Morris, who dubbed her Saturday night set “Churchella,” performed “My Church,” the lead single from her 2016 debut studio album Hero, in a floor-length gold gown with a live gospel choir and the Los Angeles Philharmonic under the direction of Venezuelan conductor...

Who Won Coachella? Lady Gaga, Charli Xcx, Post Malone Top the Best of 2025 List
Image
With the first weekend of Coachella 2025 now in the history books, clear winners have emerged among the dozens of acts who performed, including history-making headliners and small-font breakthroughs.

Best Overall Set: Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga’s headlining set on Friday night was an immediate all-timer: the Mother Monster had created an opera house in the middle of the desert teeming with her own inner demons and mind-blowing choreography that utilized not just the main stage but seemingly every inch of the catwalk and B-stage as well. It was a performance for the ages, and erases her fine-but-not-phenomenal previous performance from 2017 altogether.

Lady Gaga performs at the Coachella Stage.

Best Non-Main Stage Set: Gustavo Dudamel

When LA Phil conductor Gustavo Dudamel was revealed on the lineup, anyone who’s been paying attention to orchestral moments at Coachella knew to expect something special. In the past, both Danny Elfman and Hans Zimmer...

Did April 9 Young and the Restless Episode Look Familiar To You?
Image
There was a new episode of The Young and the Restless on Wednesday, April 9. We know there was. It said so in the viewer guide, and when we checked, there was also an episode yesterday, Tuesday, April 8. So why, then, did it feel like we’ve been trapped in a Genoa City version of Groundhog Day for months now?

The Beginning

Groundhog Day is a 1993 movie where Bill Murray plays an obnoxious weatherman who is forced to relive the same day over and over again until he becomes a better person and deserves Andi McDowell falling in love with him.

We don’t know how long he stays in that loop. Some say a few weeks, some say a few months, and then there’s the theory that says it’s thousands of years. We know what that feels like because that’s where we are with Y&R.

‘Malcolm In The Middle’ Revival Sets Malcolm’s Siblings & Daughter As Christopher Masterson & Justin Berfield Return And Dewey Is Recast
Image
Disney Branded Television has rounded out The Wilkersons for the upcoming limited, four-episode revival of Malcolm In the Middle on Disney+, which will reveal the sex and name of the quirky family’s sixth child.

Original cast members Christopher Masterson and Justin Berfield are set to reprise their roles as Malcolm’s older brothers Francis and Reese, respectively, joining Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek who are back as Malcolm and the Wilkerson parents Hal and Lois, respectively.

Caleb Ellsworth-Clark is taking over the role of genius Malcolm’s (Muniz) younger brother, Dewey. The recasting is not surprising. Erik Per Sullivan, who played the role on the original series, was not expected to return as he quit acting in 2010 and has not participated in any of the Malcolm In the Middle reunions.

Al Pacino and Dan Stevens Dance With the Devil In ‘The Ritual’ Teaser Trailer
Image
He may have once played the devil himself in the 1997 film The Devil’s Advocate, but today, Al Pacino is attempting to banish the powers of evil with Dan Stevens by his side. XYZ Films has dropped the first teaser trailer for the upcoming horror film The Ritual, which drops its two leading men into an exorcism flick based on a true story. Although it was initially set to go toe-to-toe with the Easter crowd, the power of Christ compelled the folks behind the David Midell-helmed production to move the feature’s release to the summer on June 6.

Fully embracing all the terror that comes with a movie about an exorcism, the teaser trailer for The Ritual introduces audiences to Pacino’s Theophilus Riesinger and Stevens’ Joseph Steiger. Both men are priests who have been summoned to help Emma Schmidt (Abigail Cowen) — a young woman who is suspected to be suffering from demonic possession.

‘Young Sheldon’ Fans Looking for a New Show Should Binge 'The Middle'
Image
Undeniably one of the small screen's most criminally-underrated gems, the wholesome and zany 2009 sitcom The Middlefeatured a stellar cast of both new and familiar faces, with TV greats Patricia Heaton and Neil Flynn headlining the series as the perpetually exhausted Frankie and Mike Heck as they attempt to raise their three rambunctious kids in a small Indiana town. The wildly entertaining comedy ran for nine seasons from 2009 to 2018 and spawned 215 episodes, keeping audiences laughing week-after-week as the kooky clan found themselves in chaotic situations and engaging in uproarious shenanigans.

Those looking for an endearing family sitcom and some good-natured humor need not look further than The Middle, which is every bit as fun and enjoyable as the more well-known fellow shows like Young Sheldon, Modern Family, and Malcolm in the Middle. The ABC original hit currently holds a stellar 88% Popcornmeter score from fans and a 7.7 IMDb rating based on 56,000 reviews,...

Tajh Bellow Off Contract at ‘General Hospital’; Actor Has Portrayed Tj Ashford On Soap Opera Since 2018
Image
After being upped to contract status in February 2022, actor Tajh Bellow (Tj Ashford) is now off contract at “General Hospital.”

According to an update to the show’s end credits on Friday, February 21, Bellow’s name was removed from the contract cast list after previously appearing between cast members Kristina Wagner (Felicia Scorpio) and Tanisha Harper (Jordan Ashford).

The change in status for Bellow doesn’t come as a surprise considering the actor seemingly gave an indication early last week when he took to his Instagram, saying, “I know a lot of my fans are wondering what’s next for Tj, but before I speak to that I wanted to celebrate all that we’ve accomplished together.”

Bellow’s post highlighted his appreciation for all the support he received during last year’s tumultuous storyline which saw Tj and Molly (Kristen Vaganos) lose their daughter following a traumatic accident involving their surrogate,...

“Think about who Bryan Cranston was 20 years ago”: It’s Criminal How Ty Burrell Hasn’t Got His Own ‘Breaking Bad’ After Flawless Run On ‘Modern Family’
Image
Ty Burrell’s Phil Dunphy had been one of the most beloved characters in Modern Family. The credit of it goes as much to the writer for etching out such a dynamic character, as it does to Burrell for his spectacular performance.

As such, it’s no wonder that not only the character still impacts the fandom, but that they want to see him in more diverse genres. Incidentally, while talking about Ty Burrell’s Phil Dunphy, fans were reminded of another actor who played a popular sitcom dad.

Now, although he made fans laugh for several years, later turned into one of the most bada*s characters to have ever graced the small screen. If anything, it’s nothing short of criminal that Burrell hasn’t landed something like that for himself yet.

This Sitcom Star Is Against Rebooting Two of Their Most Beloved Shows
Image
Even though it may seem like pretty much every show is getting reboots, revivals or sequels, not all actors agree that revisiting a hit series is a good idea. While promoting her new movie The Unbreakable Boy, TV star Patricia Heaton commented on possible reboots of her two hit comedy series, Everybody Loves Raymond and The Middle. Fans of both series shouldn't get their hopes up, though, because the actor thinks both shows are "perfection" and don't need any new episodes.

'It's Like A Great Work Of Art:' The Middle Actor Dismisses Reboot Speculation
Image
Family sitcom The Middle was a massive hit for ABC throughout its nine-season run. Despite the show experiencing a resurgence in popularity, Patricia Heaton, who played matriarch Frances Heck, recently shot down the possibility of a reboot.

"The way they wrapped it up, where we got to flash-forward in the lives of the Heck family and see where they all ended up, it was so beautiful, and I think people have such a good feeling about the show," she told Yahoo! Entertainment. "The Middle is having such a resurgence on TikTok, of all places, that kids are rediscovering or discovering it for the first time. It's a beautiful thing."

Patricia Heaton On ‘The Middle’ & ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ Reboots: “You Don’t Want To Mess With Perfection”
Image
Patricia Heaton starred in two long-running sitcoms, The Middle and Everybody Loves Raymond, but don’t expect her to reprise any of those roles soon.

The actress recently revealed that she wouldn’t want either comedy show to get rebooted.

“It was just sort of perfection — and you don’t wanna mess with perfection,” Heaton told Yahoo! Entertainment. “You know, we’ve lost so many cast members, you couldn’t reboot it because it won’t be the same show.”

Heaton played Debra Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond for nine seasons, which ran on CBS from 1996 through 2005. In that role, Heaton was nominated seven times for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series at the Primetime Emmy Awards, taking the trophy in 2000 and 2001.

Four years after the CBS sitcom ended, Heaton starred on ABC’s The Middle as Frankie Heck. Heaton would play the role for nine seasons between 2009 and...

‘The Middle’s Eden Sher Wants To “Find A Way” For Fans To See Unaired Sue Spinoff Pilot
Image
Seven years later, Eden Sher is contemplating where Sue Sue Heck ended up.

The Middle alum recently looked back on the unaired spinoff pilot she filmed for Sue Sue in the City, which centered on the middle Heck child, following the ABC parent show’s nine-season run from 2009 to 2018.

“We did shoot a pilot. It was actually a little bit tragic when it didn’t get picked up, because I didn’t even want to do the spinoff in the first place,” she told ScreenRant. “I didn’t want to do it at all. I was like, ‘No, I’m done with this character.’ And then, after months and months of developing it and creating this thing I felt good about, I was like, ‘Oh, actually I could play this for another show. I feel involved enough, and I feel good enough, and I feel like this is opening a new chapter.

Tajh Bellow Breaks Silence, Teases Update on ‘General Hospital’ Status
Image
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, “General Hospital” star Tajh Bellow (Tj Ashford) looked back on an emotional year in which his character has been through a trying period of his life, particularly the loss of a child, as his daughter with Molly (Kristen Vaganos) sadly passed away following a traumatic accident involving their surrogate, Molly’s sister, Kristina (Kate Mansi), that later caused an initial rift in Tj and Molly’s relationship.

“What a year we had,” opened Bellow in his post, which included a collage of images highlighting key moments from last year. “Playing Dr. Tj Ashford has been a groundbreaking experience for my career. Pouring into Tj as he poured into me has been illuminating in many regards.”

Ben Stiller Sees Adam Scott as the Next Bryan Cranston in ‘Severance’—and It’s Hard to Disagree
Image
With Severance Season 2’s premiere on Apple TV+ on January 17, anticipation had been at an all-time high. Given his Emmy and Golden Globe nominations, Adam Scott’s transition into prestige drama has proven highly successful.

This transition, for Ben Stiller, is reminiscent of another true Hollywood superstar who also started off as a comic actor. Bryan Cranston, long before he was cooking up meth, was the hilarious Hal Wilkerson on Malcolm in the Middle.

“Everybody Loves Raymond” Cast: What Are They Doing in 2025?
Image
Everybody Loves Raymond is forever. You could turn it on today, watch Ray complain, and it still hits. Timeless. The show dropped on September 13, 1996, and instantly became a classic. For nine years, it had us laughing and crying. With its penetrating humor and relatable chaos, it snagged 15 Emmys before ending in 2005.

The Barone family? Messy, dysfunctional, and always up in each other’s business. That’s why we loved them. Ray dodging his parents, Debra fighting for space, Robert being, well, Robert. It gave us classic moments we’re still quoting.

5 Reasons Tim Allen's Shifting Gears Reviews Are So Bad
Image
Reviews are out for Shifting Gears, and Tim Allen’s return to TV is massively underperforming with critics. Allen previously led one of the best 90s sitcoms (Home Improvement) and returned in 2011 for a respectable 9-season run of Last Man Standing. The story of Tim Allen’s Shifting Gears seemed like a familiar continuation of his past hits, with leading man Matt partly modeled after Allen himself.

While Tim Allen is undoubtedly the show’s main selling point, it has other heavy hitters like Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls) who plays his estranged daughter, Riley. Dennings' character and her two children move in with Allen’s Matt, but the father-daughter duo are constantly at odds. Though Shifting Gears is set up like a classic sitcom, reviews have criticized aspects of the plot, writing, and overall execution, with Shifting Gears currently sitting at a “rotten” 45% Rotten Tomatoes score. Choice critics were kinder to the sitcom,...

The acclaimed sitcom "Modern Family" was an enormous hit with audiences and influential on contemporary American television. Running for 11 seasons from 2009 to 2020, the ABC comedy took the mockumentary format, popularized by sitcoms like "The Office," out of the workplace and into a domestic context. From other family-based network sitcoms to shows that adopt a similar mockumentary style, "Modern Family" has a growing number of like-minded counterparts. These shows offer hilarious perspectives on the ever-evolving state of the American family, reflecting the times that we live in. The types of families examined range from lower-middle-class families struggling to make ends meet to the ultra-rich who are brought down a few pegs to comical effect. ‘It Just Feels Like Dynamite’: Maren Morris and More on Writing ‘The Wild Robot’ Song ‘Kiss the Sky’
Image
Though their first collaboration resulted in one of the most memorable pop crossovers of the 2010s, it had been years since singer Maren Morris had worked with “The Middle” producers Jordan and Stefan Johnson of The Monsters & Strangerz. Not until after the latter party had been brought in by fellow hitmaker Ali Tamposi (co-writer of hits like “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” by Kelly Clarkson and “Señorita” by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello) to work on original music for DreamWorks Animation’s “The Wild Robot” did the Johnson brothers pitch a reunion between them and the Nashville superstar, resulting in the emotional rollercoaster ride that is “Kiss the Sky.”

“When we saw the scene for the first time, it was outside. It was in the wilderness. So the idea of it being organic and a bit fingerpicking guitar just came from what we felt like the mood was, just kind of that outdoor feel,...

While Waiting For Malcolm In The Middle's Revival, Watch One Of The Best TV Shows Of All Time Starring Bryan Cranston On Netflix
Image
Bryan Cranston is confirmed to be returning for a reboot of Malcolm in the Middle — but in the meantime, check out his other classic TV show, Breaking Bad. It was recently confirmed that a Malcolm in the Middle revival is in the works for Disney+. Cranston will reprise his role as Hal, Frankie Muniz will reprise his role as Malcolm, and Jane Kaczmarek will reprise her role as Lois. The reboot will consist of four new episodes, and it’ll see Hal and Lois demanding that Malcolm attend their 40th wedding anniversary party with his daughter.

It could be a while before the Malcolm in the Middle reboot finally streams on Disney+, but Cranston has plenty of other classic TV shows to watch during the wait. Disney+ once again revived the wrong sitcom (because life is unfair)
Image
It's the year 2024, and we're still trying to get justice for Lizzie McGuire, even in the face of other sitcoms of her era making comebacks. Well, the latest news out of Disney+ revealed another revival of a nostalgic 2000s fan-favorite TV show, and I can't help but feel frustrated.

On Dec. 13, Disney+ shared the unexpected announcement that Malcolm in the Middle will be returning with four all-new episodes with Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston, and Jane Kaczmarek set to reprise their roles. (No word yet on additional cast returns.) The cast members each recorded videos to announce the truly surprising but equally thrilling news with fans.

In addition to Muniz, Cranston, and Kaczmarek returning as Malcolm, Hal, and Lois, Malcolm in the Middle's four revival episodes come from original series creator Linwood Boomer and will we each be directed by Ken Kwapis, who directed 19 episodes between seasons 1-5.

'Everybody Loves Raymond': Everything to Know About the Cast Members Nearly 2 Decades After the Show Ended

These legends of laughter continued to light up the entertainment world, each carving out a legacy that rivals their time on the show.MEGAPeter Boyle Mega

Before Everybody Loves Raymond, Peter Boyle appeared in Joe (1970), The Candidate (1972), Young Frankenstein (1974) and Taxi Driver (1976), as well as on and off-Broadway. Fans adored him in the role of Ray and Robbie's deadpan, slightly cranky dad, Frank.

However, off-screen, he was nothing like his coarse character. Instead, he was a friendly, warmhearted guy.

"He made me feel welcome," said Ray Romano. "He made me feel part of the club."

Shortly after the sitcom wrapped, Boyle died of multiple myeloma and heart disease in 2006 at age 71.

Bryan Cranston Still Checks In on his 'Malcom in the Middle' Son Frankie Muniz
Image
Frankie Muniz reveals his television father, Bryan Cranston, still keeps in touch with him to this very day. The duo starred as father and son for seven seasons on the beloved television series, Malcolm in the Middle (2000-2006).
