Joe Exotic divorced Dillon Passage in 2021, and the Tiger King personality got engaged to Jorge Marquez, a fellow inmate in prison. The news arrived in October last year via platform X. Joe serves time for allegedly arranging the death of Carole Baskin. Late last week, Joe cried and begged President Donald Trump not to deport his new lover.
Tearful Appeal By Netflix Character
The Tiger King star spoke with The Sun US on March 7, and he just wanted to get his message out to President Donald Trump. He must have married Jorge Marquez because he referred to him as a “husband.” As Marquez is Mexican, of course, he was high on the list for deportation and will leave America in May.
Exotic still has many years to run for his conviction, and he has been reported to not be very well. Probably, Marquez gave him lots of comfort behind bars.

Exclusive: I’m getting word that Elevation Pictures vet Sarah Timlick is being hired as Amazon MGM Studios’ Head of Theatrical Distribution for Canada. This would mark the streamer and motion picture studio’s first hire in their planned international film distribution division.
In her role, Timlick will oversee theatrical distribution in the Great White North and report into Amazon MGM Theatrical Distribution boss Kevin Wilson.
Timlick will begin overseeing Canadian distribution of Amazon MGM titles being released later this year. Previously, Warner Bros would handle Canadian releases of Amazon MGM movies on a case-by-case basis. Canada wasn’t part of Amazon MGM Studios’ foreign pact with Warners.
Timlick is a seasoned Canadian film distribution executive who has also worked at Alliance Films, Entertainment One and, most recently, Elevation, which handled the Canadian release of Neon’s Oscar Best Picture winner Anora. She has also served as board director for...

Adin Boyer was the first eliminated singer of the night. He performed “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay and received positive marks for his musicality and showmanship. It may have been music critic Robert Christgau who once observed that the hardest works to write about are the ones that earn a B+, or are just on the cusp of A-. Mind you, that might have been said by Roger Ebert or a critic for The Hollywood Reporter or any reviewer since the beginning of time. Based on what we’re hearing from Disney, the seventh and final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, now on Disney Plus, will be with us on February 17th, 2020. One of the more challenging aspects of the animated series, though, is that you won’t get a chronological experience by just following the released episode order. Thankfully, then, we now have a correct viewing order courtesy of the official Star Wars site, which tells us all you need to know to catch up on The Clone Wars before its return.
The Clone Wars bridges the gap between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, providing a significant level of detail for anyone wondering what was going on in between the two prequel movies. When aired, episodes could often be bundled together as arcs, linked by one-off episodes that might explore a different part of the galaxy adjacent...

Perhaps surprisingly, Christmas week brought us not one, but two films exploring the moral and philosophical implications of the death penalty — ’tis the season? The fact-based “Just Mercy” opened on Christmas Day, and “Clemency” opened two days later on December 27. While “Mercy” focused on criminal justice from the perspective of a defense attorney, “Clemency” focuses on the toll it takes on a prison warden (Alfre Woodard) who oversees death sentences. So what do critics make of this approach to that hot-button subject matter?

The legal drama “Just Mercy” aims for inspiration over the holidays, opening Christmas Day with its story of real-life legal crusader Bryan Stevenson (Michael B. Jordan), who fought to save a wrongly convicted man (Jamie Foxx) from death row. But did it land with critics?

Gold Derby readers have been making their predictions all week long for which two of the Top 10 artists on “The Voice” won’t be making it into the Top 8, and things are not looking good for Joana Martinez and Shane Q. Both of these contestants have already appeared in the bottom and successfully sang for their lives in the instant save, but now their journeys on NBC’s reality TV show may be coming to an end. Joana of Team Gwen Stefani has 1/3 racetrack odds of going home on Tuesday night while Shane of Team Kelly Clarkson has odds of 2/11.

We’re just three weeks away from the season 17 finale of “The Voice.” The Top 10 take to the stage on Monday’s show to sing for survival. Only eight of them will make the cut when Carson Daly reveals the results on Tuesday’s episode. This is one of the most competitive editions ever of this NBC reality competition series.
Three artists are fighting it out for first place in our poll of “The Voice” viewers. In first place is Ricky Duran, who has a whopping 22% of the vote total. If he goes all the way and takes the season 17 title, it would give his coach Blake Shelton that elusive seventh win. Right behind him at 20% is Katie Kadan, who is coached by reigning champ John Legend. Rounding out the top 3 with 16% support is Rose Short, who is mentored by Gwen Stefani.
This No Doubt lead singer lost her previous three seasons as a coach.

The Top 11 artists on “The Voice” performed live on Monday’s show. The best of the bunch by far among the Top 11 is Katie Kadan from Team John Legend. She got to #15 with her version of “Without You.” (See the full list of songs and where the Top 11 ranked below.)

Hollywood and the Oscars have a long history of legal dramas, from the 1931 “A Free Soul” through the 1982 “The Verdict” (five nominations), to the 2007 “Michael Clayton”.
So Warner Bros.’ “Just Mercy,” which plays at the AFI Fest in Hollywood this month and opens theatrically in the U.S. on Christmas Day, could do well.
“Just Mercy” uses the staples of courtroom drama: The setbacks, the reversals, the “backstage” lives of the prosecutors and/or defending attorneys. That will be a major asset to Oscar voters who like well-structured pieces. But it’s not shiny-new flashy filmmaking, which is its biggest plus and its biggest challenge.
Last year, “Green Book” and “Bohemian Rhapsody” were dissed endlessly because they featured storytelling that could have been made 20 years ago, as opposed to such cutting-edge movies as “The Favourite,” “Vice” and “Black Panther.” But many voters embraced those 2018 movies.

Exclusive: Actor Theo James and producer Andrew D. Corkin are joining forces to produce theatrical and small-screen projects in the UK and U.S. with their new label Untapped.
“While our primary focus is genre and thriller, we are drawn to stories of conflicted humanity that force viewers to question how they would react when faced with real or existential threats,” said James. “These stories are often grounded in truth – literal or allegorical – encouraging us to confront and challenge the assumptions we make about ourselves and the world around us.”
Said Corkin: “We’re excited to solidify our partnership to tell complex, diverse stories across various mediums. Theo and I share a vision for how we want to build stories and worlds that both fit within the current marketplace and look beyond it.”
Already, James and Corkin have several film and TV projects in various stages of development, prep and post.

The superstar entertainer’s catalog, six multi-platinum albums packed to the gills with hit singles spanning country and pop, is clearly a huge asset that helped the label’s valuation.

Overwatch's upcoming Storm Rising event will run from April to May.
Blizzard has revealed that the next Overwatch event will be called Storm Rising.
According to a post on the Blizzard Twitter account, Storm Rising will run from April 16 to May 6. Much like previous events Retribution and Uprising, this will be a lore-based event that will likely involve a PvE mode that sees players compete against waves of bots across various difficulty modes. However, Blizzard has not confirmed the full content featured included in this event at this time.
However, the company's Twitter announcement combined with a recent mysterious blog post does hint at what's to come. It sounds like Storm Rising will take place in Havana, Cuba during a Category 3 storm. Based on hints provided so far, the theory is that this mission will see Tracer, Mercy, Winston, Genji, and Soldier 76 attempt to takedown (or capture) Doomfist's accountant,...

Adam Sandler is returning to the show that turned him into a household name in the mid ’90s.
On May 4, Sandler will return to “SNL” to make his hosting debut, alongside musical guest Shawn Mendes. Sandler joined the show as a writer in 1990 and was in the cast from 1991 to 95, creating many memorable characters, impressions and musical moments, including “The Chanukah Song.”
“We are happy to welcome Adam back to ‘SNL’ in what is sure to be a special night,” said executive producer Lorne Michaels.
Some of his most memorable characters include Opera Man, who read the news as if it were a climactic aria, and Hank Gelfand, the long-suffering husband to Beverley (Chris Farley), who would sit next to him and flip through the Zagat Guide to find somewhere to eat. Sandler was known to often break during the sketch.

The showrunner of Fox’s intense vampire drama has a philosophy when it comes to staffing her shows: “I love hiring moms.”
Liz Heldens, who took on the reigns of adapting the popular bloodsucker novel “The Passage” as a series, is a mother herself, and what she believes is that “nobody gets it done like who needs to get home for bedtime. I’m serious. I really feel like women with kids are the most efficient workers.”
It’s a philosophy that other showrunners might not share, but Heldens goes out of her way to subvert that concept. “We have a writer on [‘The Passage’] who has four kids who didn’t want to tell me, and I didn’t know in the meeting. And then she told me on the first day, and I was like, ‘I woulda hired you so much faster,'” she told IndieWire. “You can...

And just like that, Kymberli Joye, the final gospel singer still in contention to win “The Voice” Season 15, was eliminated during Tuesday’s Top 8 results episode. Because Kymberli and Sarah Grace, both of Team Kelly Clarkson, received the lowest number of overnight votes for their Monday performances, the two powerhouse artists were not given the option of singing for their lives via the instant save. That meant Tori Kelly‘s “Never Alone” (watch above) ended up being Kymberli’s final performance ever on “The Voice.”

Back in October, Brett Young ticked an important item off the bucket list when he headlined Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium in front of a sold-out crowd. He opened his set with a pair of new songs, “Here Tonight” and “Used to Missing You,” that qualified as legitimately uptempo numbers within his ballad-heavy catalog.
The crowd, a predominantly 30-and-up assortment of couples, was a bit slow to get out of those famous wooden pews and onto their feet. Young shifted gears.
