The International Emmy Award-winning Indian series “Delhi Crime” is gearing up for its third season, with acclaimed actor Huma Qureshi joining the stellar ensemble cast.

The series, which took home the International Emmy for best drama series in 2020, is currently in post-production.

Like its previous seasons, the trailer of season 3 promises a compelling political drama with tectonic shifts in the political landscapes of Bihar.

The trailer shows Huma Qureshi’s character of Rani Bharti serving her sentence in jail for the alleged murder of her politician husband. When her kids are attacked, Rani comes out on bail to avenge the murder of her husband and to settle the scores with those who framed her husband’s murder.

‘Talvar’, ‘Ship of Theseus’ and series Maharani, said that it was Bheema Bharti his character from the web-series, that put him on the map and made him a household name.

“Bheema Bharti, my character in Maharani series was quite challenging both physically and mentally. Whether it was my look, having to change my physique for the part, the dialect, accent, or dialogue delivery, it all took a lot of work,” he said.

He added: “During the prep for the second season, I got other projects, but didn’t take them up because I was dedicated to Bheema. I didn’t want to disturb the headspace or the look that my character required and Bheema’s character is layered.”
