After years of rumours, it looks like Young Guns 3 is finally happening. Emilio Estevez confirmed the news himself at Film and Media Day at the New Mexico State Capitol. “We’ve started the ball rolling on Young Guns 3,” with him adding, ”I’ve heard all the jokes: Old Guns, Ancient Guns. You can hold on to those.” In an official press release from the office of New Mexico governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, the film’s title was listed as Young Guns 3: Dead or Alive, with it further revealed Estevez would be directing the film himself (on location in New Mexico), having also co-written the script with franchise regular John Fusco.

Psych, the police procedural with a comedic twist, is an iconic part of the mystery genre. The series’ creative approach to writing detective stories has charmed generations of fans. The show follows the exploits of Shawn Spencer, a brilliant investigator who uses a ruse of psychic abilities to fulfill his childhood dreams of adventure. One of the most beloved elements of the series continues to be the flashbacks to Shawn’s childhood. Shawn’s childhood self, or Young Shawn, becomes an integral part of each episode’s plot. Most episodes begin with a flashback to Shawn’s childhood in the 1980s and reveal how Shawn developed his amazing abilities. The flashbacks were not only a way to incorporate '80s nostalgia into a series that prided itself on constant John Hughes references but also helped endear the audience to Shawn’s character.

Ben Affleck’s Christina Wolff is finally back in the official trailer for The Accountant 2. After nearly a full decade since the first film crashed into theaters, the follow-up looks to continue the story of the socially awkward, mathematical genius who made his bank account sing with the money of criminals. With Gavin O’Connor (The Way Back) returning to the helm, and Affleck reprising his role as the titular counter, the film is also filled with plenty of familiar faces from the original flick, including Jon Bernthal (The Bear), J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) and Cynthia Addai-Robinson (The People We Hate at the Wedding), many of whom viewers will spot in today’s teaser. After the first movie earned a staggering $155.2 million at the global box office, the sequel hopes to follow in its shoes, and deliver the same kind of mad money for MGM.

Tom Felton commented on the real-life nicknames that he utilized to make his performance as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films exceptional and convincing. Along with Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, Felton skyrocketed to fame at a young age after the breakout success of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. He would go on to become a core part of the Harry Potter franchise's cast and would play one of the most integral characters in the entire series, the conflicted and disturbed Draco Malfoy.
Following the enormous success of the Harry Potter films, which spanned eight installments with the final one being 2011's Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Felton went on to star in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Murder in the First, and The Flash. Christmas—the most magical time of the year—has the ability to stir up emotions that are as sweet as the scent of fresh pine trees and as warm as a cup of hot cocoa. We gather with family, exchange stories, and indulge in the joy of traditions. Oh, and let’s not forget the gifts—because what’s Christmas without a little bit of greed wrapped in glitter?
But if there’s one thing that makes this season even more special, it’s the holiday flicks that have become as essential as the Christmas cakes.

The movie also adds a second timeline following her future career as a boxing manager.

In 2024, Star Wars showcased three animated series; the final season of The Bad Batch, a second part in the Star Wars Tales anthology, and more episodes of Young Jedi Adventures. Then, two completely new narratives were brought to live-action; The Acolyte released this past summer and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew has kicked off its run on Disney Plus.
Skeleton Crew differentiates itself by being the only live-action Star Wars series with children as the primary protagonists (unless you count Grogu in The Mandalorian) and it also has a strong focus on the pirate community of the Star Wars Universe. Space pirates form common antagonists in Young Jedi Adventures and feature in a few chapters of The Mandalorian, but Skeleton Crew’s opening sequence, as well as its eventual setting in the sophomore episode, promises a more auspicious exhibition for the plunderers.

Grande, who is earning rave reviews for her turn in the movie adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked, has been primarily known as a popstar who has sold millions of records and has had a steady flow of hits. Before her music career, she began her professional journey on Broadway, later becoming a popular actress on Nickelodeon, and now she's ready to put music aside for a bit to focus on becoming a movie star.
During a chat on the Las Culturistas podcast, Grande revealed that participating in Wicked has reignited her desire to be an actress. For the last ten years, she has put pretty much all of her focus on her music career, but now she is intent on conquering movies in the same way she has taken over the world of pop music.

Steve Carell's appearance in The Office's final episode wasn't just a surprise to audiences. On the latest episode of the Office Ladies podcast, hosts Jenna Fischer (who starred as Pam Beesley) and Angela Kinsey (who portrayed Angela Martin), shared details about Carell's memorable return to the series. Carell hilariously portrayed Dunder Mifflin's branch manager Michael Scott for seven seasons. He exited The Office in 2011 but famously returned for its 2013 finale. The crew acted secretly to get the Golden Globe Award-winning actor back on the show, and even some of the cast didn't know he would be featured in the finale. Kinsey was one of the people who had no idea that Carell would return, and Fischer shared:
It was really hard not to tell you ... and you did not find out until he showed up on set that day.

We’re introduced to Roy at his lowest point, alone in a motel room with nothing left to live for. But fate has other plans when a surprise visitor bursts through the door – or should I say, bursts through wearing a full-body monkey costume. Under the flashy fur lies Jane, a woman fleeing her past who saves Roy from ending his life. With her bold personality and wild ideas, Monkey whisks our depressed protagonist away on an outrageous road trip that will challenge everything he thought he knew.
Played by comedian Nina Conti in her directorial debut, Monkey is as freewheeling and fiery as the simian persona Conti has brought to stages worldwide. Joining her is Shenoah Allen as the straight-laced Roy, thrown for a loop by this bizarre stranger with grand schemes of starting a business.

Ever since becoming one of the biggest pop stars in recent history, Ariana Grande hasn’t spent much time showing off her acting abilities in front of the camera. Before taking over the music industry, Grande found Hollywood success while working on the set of Nickelodeon’s Victorious as Cat Valentine, featuring the iconic Victoria Justice.

While the 31-year-old pop star tried to navigate through her acting career, she also gave some attention to her musical aspirations behind the scenes. In 2013, she released a single called The Way, featuring Mac Miller, who tragically passed away in 2018, and it quickly drew a lot of attention to her work.
Eventually, Grande had to give time to music as it found far more success than her Hollywood career. But she certainly hasn’t forgotten her theatrical roots either. The pop star...

Sally Duval, a Democrat running for the Texas state House of Representatives, released a pro-marijuana ad that shows her hitting a bong and smoking a joint.
Duval posted the ad on X saying it was “High time for a change” and residents of Texas deserve safe marijuana products.
The video begins with her smoking a blunt and, in the end, depicts her hitting a bong.

While several states have legalized marijuana, it remains illegal in Texas at the state level. In her ad, Duval made sure to note this, along with the confusing aspects of Texas’ marijuana policy.
“While marijuana remains illegal for most Texans, hemp products that can get you high — like delta-8, delta-9 and THCa — are being sold at more than 7,000 retailers statewide,” she said.

It is a deceptively simple premise for a two-hour feature film. A married couple who had planned their retirement in a B&b are, due to dire financial circumstances and bum luck, forced out of their home at a point that is, on the surface at least, completely devastating. With their kids now off at school, they make the decision to pack up what they can in their backpacks and take off on the Salt Path, a 630-mile stretch from Dorset to Somerset on the Southwestern English Coast. To make matters worse, the husband has just been diagnosed with a terminal neurodegenerative disease, but they are bound and determined to complete this adventure, perhaps the last of their lives because they have no other choice.
Oh, and it is a 100% true story.
Exquisitely directed by four-time Tony Award winner Marianne Elliott with a screenplay by Rebecca Lenkiewicz (She Said) based on Raynor Winn’s 2018 memoir, The Salt Path is an inspiring story of love and resilience in a situation that might otherwise break most people, especially a couple entering their later years with little hope against an unforgiving system. This is certainly not the first film based on someone setting out on an ambitious walk for various personal reasons. Martin Sheen starred as a man tackling El Camino de Santiago trail in 2010’s spiritual The Way; Reese Witherspoon played the depressed Cheryl Strayed in Wild, the 2014 true story of her 1100-mile hike on the Pacific Crest Trail; and Mark Wahlberg starred in another true story, 2020’s Joe Bell, about a father who walks across America in protest of the bullying of his son.
All of these films, and other similar stories of determination against all odds, were admirable attempts but not always successful movies as sometimes dramatizing the journey can be a little repetitive. Where Elliott succeeds with a fine Lenkiewicz template, is getting us instantly engaged in the travails of Ray (Gillian Anderson) and Moth (Jason Isaacs), a couple who could be you or me as life hits them hard in the gut and the Salt Path becomes somehow a cure, a spiritual redemption however temporary, to set them on a new path (literally and figuratively) in life. Is it an adventure? Is it insanity or an existential mid-life crisis? In some ways, it is reminiscent of the premise of John Cheever’s The Swimmer and its film adaptation, in which Burt Lancaster swam from one neighbor’s pool to another, encountering various people along the way. But moreover, it is the tale of these two born to come together to experience life together, no matter how hard that gets.
After unreasonably being evicted from their B&b, having their bank account dried up due to legal expenses and losing their farm, this likable couple decides to fullfil a dream and live off the land as it were by embarking with just chump change on an ambitious walk covering 630 breathtaking miles, even as Moth has had a pretty devastating diagnosis. This might stop most people in their tracks, but in this case only sets this couple off in theirs.
The story from this point on becomes episodic as they make their way, stopping at various points and towns, interacting with the locals and relatives, bleeding an Atm dry just for enough to get food, and even for Ray getting a job shearing sheep. Nothing hugely life-threatening happens along the way, no sudden tidal wave or earthquakes, none of the usual movie tropes, but rather a love story of two people making the most of where life has brought them to this point. Of course to make this work, you need actors of the extraordinary grace and talent of Anderson and Isaacs who are entirely believable as this pair staring down nature as an antidote to the cards life has dealt. Both are excellent in essentially a two-hander, although they get support along the way from various people they meet or stay with.
With Helene Louvart’s excellent cinematography a real plus, The Salt Path is a cinematic journey worth taking. It had its world premiere Thursday at the Toronto International Film Festival. Producers are Elizabeth Karlsen, Stephen Woolley, Lloyd Levin and Beatriz Levin.

In the "Futurama" episode "Where No Fan Has Gone Before", the hapless Fry (Billy West) learns that "Star Trek" has been banned in the 31st century. He visits the severed head of Leonard Nimoy, kept alive in a jar of fluid, hoping to learn more about the fate of "Star Trek." Nimoy, knowing about the ban, initially pleads ignorance. Fry, trying to remind him, describes "Star Trek" as a 1960s TV that had "76 episodes. About 30 good ones."
Nimoy eventually confesses to remembering "Star Trek," but Fry's description of the show's quality isn't wholly unfair. Gene Roddenberry's original "Star Trek" series had many highs, providing popular sci-fi with some of its most indelible images. Additionally, its vision of a country-less, money-free, diplomacy-forward, anti-colonialist future inspired many to be optimistic about things to come. But it can also be true that the show churned out more than its share of stinkers.

Deadpool & Wolverine didn't pull any punches with its cheeky meta-references. The film even hit the ground running with a flagrant jab at Logan in the opening sequence.
Deadpool & Wolverine's opening credits recently sparked a dance trend that revived an Nsync classic. That's just one of the film's many Easter eggs, and as is expected from a Deadpool film, most of the potshots were grossly irreverent. Nothing demonstrated this more than the film's homage to the legacy of Logan, Hugh Jackman's best performance as the quintessential X-Man. The 2017 film was tragic but cathartic, which makes Deadpool & Wolverine's intro scene hilariously bittersweet. Logan's co-writer Michael Green told IGN he was forewarned about that sequence; weirdly enough, he considered the callback a huge compliment.

Charlie Sheen has had a glorious career full of prestigious awards including 4 Primetime Emmys and a Golden Globe. While many know him as Charlie Harper on Two and a Half Men, he had a string of successful films even before starring in the show. However, the other side of his life was not full of glitz and glamor during a period of his life.
Charlie Sheen Two and a Half Men (2003-2015) | Chuck Lorre Productions
The actor was suffering from drug and alcohol addiction for years, something which he even went to rehab for multiple times. On top of that, there were several marital problems with both his second and third wives, Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller. Charlie Sheen has been sober for years now but there was a time when even his father, Martin Sheen, couldn’t help bring him out of the darkness.

Spoiler Alert! The article contains spoilers for The Boys.
Since 2019, Eric Kripke’s The Boys have been taking jabs at Marvel and DC. The show has featured a sociopath, psychotic version of Superman in Antony Starr’s Homelander, and an unhinged version of Captain America with Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy, who was America’s Son.

However, the R-rated show is not stopping anytime soon because, in the 5th episode of Season 4, titled Beware the Jabberwock, My Son, Kripke takes a jab at Robert Pattinson’s The Batman.
During the Vought Expo scene, where the Supes were talking about their upcoming film and TV Series, Derek Wilson’s Tek Knight came on the stage, where he decided to satirize DC by targetting Batman and using Nirvana as the point of reference to ridicule the character.

The Star+ service was responsible for distributing many Disney-owned titles found on Hulu in the United States.
The stars are shining a bit more faintly over Latin America today. Disney announced this week on social media that it had executed a plan first outlined in December 2023, in which shows and movies from its Star+ streaming service are being moved to Disney+ in an effort to cut down on customer confusion and help viewers find desired titles on a single app.
Key Details: Henceforward, viewers who had access to Star+ will now find all of its titles on Disney+. The standalone Star+ platform will be available until July, when it will be shut down for good. Disney has made a similar move with Hulu in the United States, and will launch an ESPN tile on Disney+ in 2024. Sign Up Now $7.99+ / month disneyplus.com

Genuine laughs come often in The Everything Pot, thanks to its ridiculous antics and relatable themes. The cast's excellent chemistry truly elevates the film, making the back-and-forth banter memorable and engaging. While some moments of repetition occur, the film still delivers a compelling conflict and plenty of laughs.
Its very rare these days for a situational comedy to genuinely make me laugh, but The Everything Pot did just that. The film, directed and written by Sherise Dorf, is deeply silly, but its also got a good amount of heart and themes that are relatable. While the crux of the characters issues dont emerge until its too late to properly flesh them out, The Everything Pot still manages to turn domestic shenanigans into something a bit deeper. Awkwardness knows no bounds here, and the kooky comedy has enough steam to carry it all the way through to a lovely ending.
