Exclusive: Plane and The Bricklayer actor Oliver Trevena has signed with Untitled Entertainment for management.

Trevena has most recently acted in Hotel Tehran (in post) with Liam Neeson and Zachary Levi, TIFF movie The Cut with Orlando Bloom, Mermaid with Mel Gibson, and Ice Fall, with Joel Kinnaman, for which he also served as executive producer.

Trevena was recently honored by the Rome Film festival with a Breakout Actor award from his Plane co-star Gerard Butler at the premiere of Trevena’s action-thriller The Paradox Effect in which he stars opposite Harvey Keitel and Olga Kurylenko. He also stars with the latter in Misdirection, which he also produced.

On the entrepreneurial side, Trevena launched tbe Caliwater beverage brand with business partner Vanessa Hudgens. The Brit actor and producer continues to be repped by Independent Talent Group and law firm Rosenfeld, Meyer & Susman.

Paradox Effect follows Karina, a lady struggling to repair her life and reconnect with her daughter, Lucy, in the aftermath of addiction. What began as a casual encounter quickly becomes a difficult, high-stakes journey as Karina is forced into a dangerous partnership with Covek. Together, they must negotiate not only the immediate risks posed by crime boss Silvio but also their moral quandaries and personal conflicts.

At first look, the idea appears to follow several thriller genre conventions: a hesitant protagonist thrust into a life-or-death situation, a ticking time, and dark figures looming big. Greta Gerwig is set to be honored with the Pioneer of the Year Award by the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation.

The “Barbie” writer and director will receive the award at the Pioneer of the Year Dinner, set for Sept. 25 at The Beverly Hilton. The event benefit will honor Gerwig and raise proceeds for Wrmppf’s Pioneers Assistance Fund, a charity that provides financial assistance and supportive counseling to individuals in the motion picture distribution and exhibition community in times of need.

The award is honored to members of the motion picture industry with exceptional leadership, service to the community and commitment to philanthropy.
