I have seen many isekai anime in my life and although many of them have similar concept, similar themes, similar MC (Protagonist), similar MV (Antagonist) and even similar story. Even so most of them felt enjoyable and worth watching. However, this anime "The Faraway Paladin" is just so boring. It is just a waste of time. The MC is just plain pathetic, lame and weak. Not likable at all. He cries a lot and wet his bed after seeing his step mummy mom half naked, which is encourage by his skeleton step Dad. WTF? The story doesn't seem to go anywhere. It's a stupid story begin with. Too many gods and demon kings, who are meaningless. The narrator says that these meaningless gods created the universe in a silly and stupid logicless way, then they fought with each other, blah blah blah. I am so bored. Just stay away from this sh**it anime.
There are so many Isekais that this could be easily missed. I thought that the faraway paladin was a bit rushed to be consolidated into just 13 episodes for a season. I found the second part to be more interesting than the first but there are better isekais out there.
Just like vinland saga this anime does not boast about the strength of the mc but actually represents that how no war can we be won by a single person , the mc is powerful but still needs someone to rely on and also how religion can help a person follow a righteous path. The details in this anime are really precious as they are not exaggerated but beautifully connected how it could in reality. No doubt this anime is very realistic and has a great ending. Maybe the isekai part or rebirth part could be mistaken as kne of those powerful mc with cheats and hacks but this anime demonstrated that if you want to live a better life then you have to work harder as soon as you realize it.
Despite being an isekai he seems of a completely different category the story is very beautiful certainly among the most original I've seen, the protagonist is not very powerful but he grows with good power ups the way in which the protagonist relates to the other characters is good his goal is particular and different from the other protagonists perfectly in line with the story, the side cast is not the best developed only in the deuteragonist and his "parents" for the rest nothing special even worse as regards the female cast even worse while the battles are simple and contain cgi but they are well done, taking everything into account I can say that it is a very valid work.
THE FARAWAY PALADIN. (2021-2023) This is a slower Isekai anime series, to be sure, but not nearly a bad as some people have been saying. The pacing is certainly slower for an adventure fantasy series, with much less action, gore and battles than other more popular series of the same breed might have, but I feel the backstory is important as well as character growth, and so far this series has been great at setting up those things. The art is solid, as well as the characters.
The story centers around Will, a young orphan raised by three undead monsters (Mary, the Mummy, Blood, the Skeleton & Gus, the Ghost) in the City of the Dead, isolated and apart from humanity. As he nears 15 years of age he is expected to strike out on his own and make a life for himself. He sets out to become a warrior priest, giving rest to lost souls and making allies along the way, such as Meneldor, the half-elf.
Will, the main young man is boyish, for sure, and naive in the beginning of the series but hopefully will soon mature as the show progresses and more so after he embarks on his journey. That aspect makes sense, as he grew up very sheltered, with only the three undead monsters that raised him
Overall, it seems an interesting premise for this Isekai Fantasy Adventure series. Visually the show is well made, and the art style is very pretty. Recommended for more patient viewers, who like stronger character development and slower paced back story building.
