    As usual

When you google the person this story was modeled after you gain an entirely new perspective on misogyny and over glamorizing people who in real life share zero resemblance to the tart the casting director choose to represent them.

Monique Case was an average looking woman, so why choose an actress who looks more like a fashion model, than the average everyday housewife that she was???

So that takes away 5 stars straight out the gate, and these writers could learn something about putting forth a real movie with real people and not these breath and britches anorexic skinny minnies they like to portray as average everyday folks.

    a murder case

A real case inspiring a film about misogyny , superficiality, easy solutions in corruption sauce, a woman becoming scapegoat in a case of murder of a banker. The proofs - gossips of neighbors . A noble help to the women in delicate situations can help the accused. A prosecutor, at the first case, solving the situation, restoring the truth.

Well acted, well storytold. And a real powerful message , proposed by a real seductive way to translate in realistic story a case in which many traits of near reality of every day is clear and precise reflected.

In some measure, a film about loneliness of women in a world of men . And a beautiful eloge to the support of family.

Based on the real life "Ernest Rodrigues Affair" (also known as the "Monique Case Affair" or the "Affair of the Blue Woods"), with character names changed. As such, the real life Monique Case and judge Georgette Chouvelon become respectively Colette Chevreau and Anne-Marie Leroux in the film.
    • Goofs
When giving files to work on to his subordinates, the Procureur talks about a brawl involving two Arabs. In 1965, in France, the term then used was North-African. The word Arabs applied to rich emirs and oil tycoons from the Middle-East and Opec members.
