By visiting Germany's Weekend Of Horrors for years now you can't ignore the German flicks that are sold their. So I came in contact with Maik Ude and other directors trying to sell their films. The problem with some German flicks is that they speak German and are mostly not subtitled. For some it is a necessary to be subtitled for others it doesn't matter. Road Rip doesn't have subs but you can understand for 90% what they are saying. And here they say a lot. This is surely a zero budget especially on the effects, rather, there aren't any. There is a stabbing but you just see the result, or a cutter knife tearing open a woman's chest but you only see the killer throwing away the heart, in other words, low on gore and sadly it's even low on the red stuff. Of course you can see it coming that the only survivor is out for revenge but even that is bloodless. Clocking in at 70 minutes you think that the killings will start rather quickly but you guessed it, it takes over 45 minutes before it all goes wrong for the 4 girls. I have seen much better on the label it was sold. Although the camera-work and editing was well done. I wonder what the German gorehounds will think of this failure.
