Just watched "Game Changer" and thought it was better than "Indian 2". The movie has some predictable moments, but the first half's writing and the 20-minute flashback in the second half are noteworthy. However, some viewers might find the screenplay and editing weak, and the sound mix stale. Despite this, it's a clean family-friendly film.
Ram Charan's performance is impressive, and his character, Appanna, is a highlight. His screen presence is undeniable. The cat-and-mouse chase between Ram Charan and Surya will entertain audiences.
The movie showcases the power of an IAS officer and a Chief Electoral Officer, highlighting the challenges of doing good for society. However, few audience may don't feel good about movie.
Why? Few individuals may think that i am already aware that I'll be taken advantage of by politicians. I know law & order gonna deceive me, it's no surprise. I'm well aware they will cheat me every term. But you/director/artists do not try to tell me that I could be cheated by them - I can't bear it"
that's the reason few may don't feel good about movie because director attempted to cram the entire constitution and its rights into a 2.5-hour film, which may overwhelm audiences, feeling like they're being hit with a dense, heavy book.
Overall, "Game Changer" is a decent watch, but its impact may vary depending on individual perspectives.

Game Changer Review
As per the Game Changer's premise and objectives, it attempts to delve deeper into person growth, competitiveness, and resilience. Revolving around the life of a young prodigious athlete, this movie depicts the life of how it truly feels to transform from an aspiring individual to a high-stakes level athlete in a sports drama directed by a talented filmmaker.
There exists an emotional arc within the plot which can be seen quite clearly, for instance, the protagonist starts off as an underdog and during the course of the movie becomes a champion. Despite the single narrative of resilience, the movie evokes compassion and fuses in an adequate amount of sincerity to ensure an engaging approach towards the audience, which works in its favor. You can clearly see how elite competition takes a toll on someone through how the film accurately portrays the psychological and emotional repercussions of the said. Everything from the complexities within a family regarding relationships, and strong bonds between teammates is unfiltered and shown in an honest manner throughout the movie.
This movie does a remarkable job when it comes to performance. The character's arc, highlights moments of victory and internal catastrophes, which is a difficult thing to balance, but the lead actor manages to exhibit the character perfectly. The emotions intertwined within the story created through the side characters shine alongside him.
Game Changer is a visual miracle, with expertly infused heart-pounding sports sequences. The stitching of the movie is flawless with each g cut.

'Game Changer' is a very ordinary political commercial entertainer that is carried completely by Ram Charan's performance and Thaman's BGM at times.
The first half is pretty mediocre with a boring love track and ineffective comedy but gets interesting leading up to the interval. The second half starts on superb note with a 20 minute flashback that reminds us of Vintage Shankar. However, after this portion, it again turns back into a run of the mill political movie that turns melodramatic and tiring towards the end.
The film uses similar tropes to many political movies in the past which gives it an outdated and tiring feel at times. The heart and soul of the film is a 20 minute flashback. RC is absolutely superb as Appana in this flash back and will remain as another feather in his cap. The rest of RCs character is a regular IAS role that is a cakewalk for him. Thaman's music is an asset for the film whenever it doesn't enter the overly loud mode. The production values are good especially in the songs.
This is easily better than Indian 2, however, it can't be considered as a comeback for Shankar as his writing and taking is below par and is completely carried by the music and Charan. Just Ok!
Rating: 5/10.

The story is decent, but the narration drags and feels messy. Some scenes hit the mark, some miss, and most are just "meh".
Ramcharan pulls off his two roles well, but his performance doesn't blow you away. His beardless look? Let's just say it's not his best. Anjali shines in her limited role, while Kiara adds glamour but not much else. SJ Suryah steals the show as the villain but it feels very monotonous and the rest of the cast does their job.
The production is lavish-maybe too lavish, like they burned cash just for songs and fights to look grand. Music is nice, and the cinematography is impressive. Shankar's direction is okay, but it's not his prime-level magic.
Overall? It's not worth watching.

While this isn't as terrible as Indian 2 overall, the entirety of the first hour is some of the worst bits of filmmaking I have seen from the once-iconic director. The comedy sucks (Sunil and Vennela Kishore characters desperately need the "DELETE" button), the intro fight & song combo is horrendous, the romance between Charan and Kiara's characters is so poorly written, and SJ Suryah does eccentric SJ Suryah for the millionth time. Yeah, I should stop looking at this as a Tamil film, because it clearly isn't aiming to be one.
Almost every song is a bathroom break, though I like some of the beats in Dhop (along with its vibrant picturization). It was difficult to connect with the protagonist - an IAS officer + IPS officer + Election Officer + Angry Dude in College + whatever the hell the writing needs him to be. We connected with Shankar's protagonists in some of his earlier films because most of them weren't default superheroes. Very often, the circumstance creates one, and that formula worked for him for nearly 2 decades. But gone are those days. I'm not sure what ideas Karthik Subbaraj fed Shankar in the initial stages-ultimately, Shankar chose to give it the same screenplay treatment as Mudhalvan, Sivaji, and the likes.. in 2025. Plus, the only time I bought the performer in Ram Charan was during the short flashback portion, and even that's less impactful.
Kiara Advani is drop-dead gorgeous, though she's mostly relegated to being a song-and-dance prop in the film. Anjali gets a meatier presence than expected, and is fine in the flashback (..not the present). Jayaram is disposable, and Srikanth plays the guy Samuthirakani or Sachin Khedekar usually takes up. My biggest gripe, however, is with the action sequences. I don't remember Shankar directing action this terribly, like EVER. Peter Hein and Anbariv are involved, but to what avail? Every set piece is wholly forgettable. The "Hari-fication" of Shankar is well and truly underway, as far as the pacing is concerned. I don't have any faith in his upcoming projects. God save the Velpari adaptation.

Director Shankar owes the success of the Telugu dubbed versions to producer, A.M. Rathnam. Rathnam's association with Shankar dates back to buying Shankar's first 2 films for their Telugu dubbed release. It was the successes of these two films that led to Rathnam to produce Indian & later his debut Hindi film, Nayak.
