Pui Pui Molcar

Surprisingly good

This is a strange, yet well-made stop motion animation series featuring "Molcars" (half-car, half-guinea pig creatures). Who knows where this idea came from, but they are just adorable.

3 minutes per episode. Highly watchable and relaxing. Perfect for kids but adults can also enjoy.

Adorable, Creative, Well-made Fun

Consisting of a dozen mini episodes of stop-motion animation, Pui Pui Molcar accomplishes a lot given its short duration, lack of dialogue, and episodic storytelling. Each Molcar is memorably and uniquely characterized, and the props and settings are immensely well-made. This attention to detail sets the stage for a series that is both fun and technically strong.

The action-packed stories and adorable animation for the Molcars make this show cute and immersive. It's packed to the brim with humor, entertainment, and fun. Given its minimal time investment, it is well worth a watch (or two)!

No dialogue, yet full of life!

The lack of conversations means that this can be shared and understood globally.

Attention to detail and the perfect expressions means that you don't need verbal communication.

Short stories are easy to watch and suitable for all ages.

Adorable.

Hilarious

I'm a 42 year old man, I think there's something wrong with me as I watched every episode.

the best show

Unironically the best show I've ever watched. Good to sit down and watch when you're feeling blue. It's cute, it's cuddly, it's very entertaining, and it makes me laugh. No over-arching story, but that's overrated anyway. Each episode is a short, high-intensity plot with a simple but unpredictable solution. I cried because of how adorable it was more than once.

Looks strange, but my daughter loves it

I have no idea what I just watched. It's a little bit confusing and strange for an adult, but my 2 years old daughter loves it.

Massively underrated

This show is hilarious, I've watched it with my daughter several times & she absolutely loves it. There needs to be more episodes. It also needs more publicity as its massively underrated & totally bonkers. More people need to see this.

Simple shorts of cuteness overload

Something that appeared on my netflix recommended list, to be honest im glad that i was able to tune into after the introduction. Like on my title, it was a simple animation/ motion style of 4 shorts with vibrant colors and techno sound effects/tracks which were very arcade. No solid storylines, it was meant to be as short escape from any stressful environment or moments and watch nothing but just cute hamster figures. Zero talking, just sound and motion scenes. Human lady will pop out here and there sometimes. A bit funny and entertaining. Thats all. Good for kids specifically babies or pet friendly. Recommended.

I am a better person now. Thank you, Molcar!

Wow! Wow wow wow! So cute. So funny. So clever. So weird. It's a car but it's a Guinea pig but it's a pillow and IT'S GENIUS!! Imdb needs me to write more. Ok. I want to live in Molcar village!

Trippy

Imagine a world where cars are sentient creatures who just happen to be guinea pigs -- meet the molcars. Humans are humans only when they're inside a molcar, otherwise they're plastic figurines. The molcars have steering wheels and drivers' seats but it isn't clear if they really need to be driven. The cheerful world of molcars will seem logical if you just relax and accept it. Fantastic stop-motion animation, a real work of art -- and it won't take much of your time. I'm going to watch every episode again. Pui pui!

I've watched all the episodes and I'm 24 with anxiety. That's all the recommendation it needs.

Brilliant combo of the adorable and absurd

For no discernible reason this popped up in my Netflix recommendations; I'm incredibly glad it did. Adorable felted guinea pigs in stop motion animation - and they also happen to be cars! But of course?! The sound effects of actual wheeking and associated noises, combined with an upbeat sound track turn this mini series into pure genius. Apart from tiny clips inside the Molcars, human are depicted by little plastic figures (similar to the Toy Story soldiers). There is no dialogue, however the brilliantly animated expressions and piggy noises make it redundant. Short 6-8 minute episodes with three stories each make ideal comfort viewing or perfect for little people's attention spans. I've only deducted one star as I didn't laugh quite as much at the second series, but it really is close to perfection.

Obviously (I presume!) this was aimed at kids, however I am 39 and have recommended to both my 65yr old mother-in-law and 6yr old goddaughter. I laughed so hard, I've just had to check I wasn't bothering my neighbour before I can start watching it again! Whatever your age, do yourself a favour and watch the bizarre Molcars get up to all sorts of antics.

Absolutely love it - please make some more!

PUL PUL MOLCARS: Really Random

PUL PUL MOLCARS (2021 - ) is so weird, creative and adorable. This series impressed both my four year old nephew and adult family. It stars stop motion felted or yarn-made (?) guinea pig vehicles. Yes, you heard me. GUINEA PIG vehicles, guinea pigs with wheels. It's very funny and silly, and outrageously over the top, but overall entertaining to watch. Very cute.

"Pui Pui Molcar centers in the wonderful soft world where cars are guinea pigs and humans are occasionally plastic dolls. This stop-motion animated short series brings all you ever wanted in a TV show to life."

This show was a truly strange yet memorable show. While this show is advertised to kids, but it's probably better aimed at older kids, teens and adults because of some bizarre cartoonish violence, among other questionable behaviors.
