Plot is nothing special but is well-acted. Think what you will of a show, but the comments from some westerners in these reviews is disgustingly ignorant bigotry. I'm an American who's been living in Thailand for over 5 years. Thailand has corruption, but no more than take your pick of western nations. It's not a taboo subject either, many other Thai crime dramas reference it. There's now a movie sequel to this series called Bangkok Breaking: Heaven and Hell. It also starts showing corruption early on... and guess who the corrupters are... moguls who want to sell out Thailand to foreigner 'investors'. While both series and movie are fictional stories, it's quite accurate to say that a sizable chunk of the corruption here in due to western meddling in Thai internal affairs.
Bangkok is magnificent
i really enjoy it very much ....
hope we have a second season am sure there is a lot to talk about :)
Very enjoyable indeed with an absorbing storyline, great action, strong lead acting and readable subtitles. Wanchai (Sukollawat Kanarot) and Kat (Sushar Manaying) portray likeable and sympathetic characters with rounded personalities. The themes are topical and boldly-dealt with. It is a piece of Thai TV which will endure. It helps if you are used to Thai film and TV, but this deserves to appeal to people new to Thai international cinema/TV. Hard not to binge watch and definitely NOT a 'naam now' soap. We really liked it - good fun, good humour, well-produced, well-directed and a massive credit to cast, writers and crew. On the 'watch again' list.
Better than expected
Props to the writers, They really hit the nail on the head with the corruption topic in Thailand. Always looking forward to shows that have balls to talk about something that deems inappropriate in Thai media. Though I have to say that the romantic part feel a little out of place for me, not to mention that the two leads have zero chemistry with each other. Still other characters conflict made up for what's lacking.

The visuals in the series are beautiful, I love it. The plot looks weird, like I'm watching a low-grade Thai drama.
