The gambling-themed manga series Kakegurui created by Homura Kawamoto (story) and Toru Naomura (art) will receive a stage play adaptation in Tokyo in September 2025. Moeko Kanisawa , a member of the Japanese idol group ≠Me (Not Equal Me) is cast as the protagonist, Yumeko Jabami. Kanisawa previously played the role of Harukaze Doremi, one of the main characters in the Ojamajo Doremi stage play performed by the members of the group in 2022, but this will be the first stage play in which she will play the lead role alone. The hit animated anthology series, Star Wars: Visions, is returning to Disney+ in 2025. The recently announced Star Wars: Visions, Season 3 will return to the format of Season 1, with an assortment of Japanese animation studios assembling to produce a collection of Star Wars anime shorts. While the first season of Star Wars: Visions was purely an anime anthology, Season 2 featured animation studios from all around the world, creating episodes in a variety of styles. Season 3 will welcome back four of the anime studios that worked on Season 1, as well as five new studios.

Anime has seen a surge in popularity in recent years because more and more people now view it as a valid entertainment medium. Anime covers every type of genre imaginable, but action is still the most popular, and a number of action anime feature ninjas. Most ninja anime are set in feudal Japan, but there are a few that take place in more modern settings.
Ninjas have a certain mystique around them, because they are highly skilled assassins who hide in the shadows. Ninja anime have taken advantage of this mystique, which is why most series have detailed and epic fight sequences. Several of these ninja anime also benefit from having interesting stories. Despite its overwhelming impact on the battle shonen genre, the Bleach manga and anime series have been considered very divisive. At one point, the series used to be incredibly popular — between 2001 and 2016, the manga sold over 120 million copies. However, Tite Kubo brought his spiritual samurai story to an abrupt end, leaving countless narrative threads untied.

A couple of days ago it was officially announced that Scarlett Johansson would take on the lead role in the live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell. There were a lot of mixed reactions from fans regarding the casting, but hopefully the movie turns out better than we expect. Luckily for hardcore fans, this isn't the only new Ghost in the Shell film coming. Later this year we will get a new anime movie, and today we bring you the first teaser trailer for it!
We don't have any story details for you yet, but the film does feature the voice cast from Ghost In The Shell: Arise, which consists of Maaya Sakamoto, Ikkyuu Juku, Kenichirou Matsuda, Tarusuke Shingaki, Shunsuke Sakuya, Takurou Nakakuni, Youji Ueda, Kazuya Nakai, and Miyuki Sawashiro.
Kazuchika Kise (Ghost in the Shell Arise chief director) will serve as chief director at Project I.G., and will also design the characters.
