After a handful of weeks without only a few new shows released each week, we're in for one of the most jam-packed weeks of the year so far. Heading into the spring season, there are so many exciting and high-profile series debuts and multiple comebacks that fans have been waiting years for. You'll be laughing, crying, and on the edge of your seat all throughout the last week of March.

For the first time since late January, there is no new episode of Severance season 2, as the hit Apple TV+ thriller dropped its game-changing finale last week. But we do have a just-announced third season to look forward to in the future. This week also promises new episodes of The White Lotus season 3 (after That moment), Surface, and Hulu's new hit Good American Family.

Bosch: Legacy Season 3 continues to uphold the Prime Video series' gold standard. The final season features uniformly strong performances, led by Watchmen Chapter 1 star Titus Welliver as Harry Bosch. Bosch: Legacy fans have been patiently waiting for the return of the series, which ended Season 2 on a tense moment and left fans desperate to know what happened next. Season 3, however, will not directly be answering the questions they have, as series star Madison Lintz, who plays Harry Bosch’s daughter Maddie, revealed that there will be a short time jump when the show returns.

The Bosch franchise has been an incredible success, but after six seasons of Bosch, and three seasons of Bosch: Legacy, the series will be coming to an end – although a new spinoff will at least give fans the chance to see Titus Welliver return intermittently as Michael Connolly’s former detective. As the new season approaches, Lintz spoke to Game Rant about how the story will be picked up a little later in the timeline than many expected. She said:

Bosch: Legacy fans were furious when it was confirmed in September 2024 that the show’s third season would be its last. The third and final season of “Bosch: Legacy,” featuring 10 all-new episodes of the hit series, is set to release Thursday, March 27 on Prime Video, and will see ‘The Young and the Restless” alum Miles Gaston Villanueva (ex-Luca Santori) joining the cast as Det. Perry Lopez.

According to a description released by Variety, the character is a native Angeleno with a background in working gang murders in South Los Angeles. Recently elevated to the LAPD’s elite Robbery Homicide Division (Rhd), and eager to make a name for himself, Lopez is partnered with the seasoned Det. Jimmy Robertson (Paul Calderon) as they are tasked to investigate Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) in a possible murder-for-hire case.

From September 16, 2015-September 9, 2016, Villanueva portrayed Luca Santori on “The Young and the Restless,” the estranged husband of Marisa Sierras (Sofia Pernas). The character was described as a charming and mysterious Spanish prince from a wealthy family.

Bosch: Legacy is set to return for its third and final season on March 27, but the excitement has been overshadowed by Amazon’s abrupt cancellation of the series over six months ago. The two critically acclaimed police procedural dramas take inspiration from the Michael Connelly book series featuring the titular detective. Harry Bosch is an LAPD detective who has a hard time with authority and the endless red tape that seems to hinder his investigations. He is an army veteran who struggles to make real connections in his personal life but also takes his cases to heart. As Harry himself says, everybody counts, or nobody counts.

Throughout the seven seasons of Bosch and the two seasons of Bosch: Legacy, Harry has worked on multiple different cases. He started as an LAPD detective in the Hollywood Homicide Division in Bosch before quitting after a case got too political for his liking. He then begins his new career as a private investigator in Bosch: Legacy, working alongside his frenemy, attorney Honey Chandler.

Jeremy Glazer and Miles Gaston Villanueva have been cast in recurring roles in the third and final season of Prime Video’s “Bosch: Legacy.”

A major Bosch: Legacy executive producer has responded to viewers who created a campaign to save the Prime Video series from its upcoming ending. Bosch: Legacy season 3 will be the final batch of episodes for the police procedural series, with Titus Welliver portraying the core protagonist in a main character role for the last time. However, fans of the show are pushing for season 3 not to be the end, organizing an online campaign to save the series. This is happening as Amazon develops a new series, Ballard, based on Renée Ballard (Maggie Q), introduced in season 3.

Now, executive producer Mitzi Roberts has taken to the Bosch Pit Facebook group (via Collider) to advocate for Bosch: Legacy getting more seasons. Roberts, who is also an LAPD detective and the real-world inspiration behind the Ballard character, said she's supportive of the movement, but also acknowledges the work being done on Ballard too.

Amazon may well be pushing this season of Bosch: Legacy as the show's finale, but fans aren't giving up quite so easily. After the show was shockingly cancelled back in September 2024, loyal viewers launched the Save Bosch: Legacy petition, demanding Amazon reconsider its decision, and now, the movement has gained a major endorsement in the shape of Mitzi Roberts, the real-life LAPD detective who inspired the character Renee Ballard in Michael Connelly’s books, who has publicly backed the campaign to save the series.

While Prime Video and MGM+ don’t always release a slew of movies and shows like other streaming platforms often do, the television shows they do offer have increasingly become some of the best out there. With the new season of Reacher currently available on Prime Video, subscribers don’t have to venture far for a quality series. March proves to be no different for both platforms.

With thrillers, police dramas, and epic fantasies, Prime Video and MGM+ have a stellar list of options arriving on their respective platforms in March. Whether viewers prefer something grounded in reality or would rather lose themselves in a world completely different from their own, both streaming services have something to offer. “Do you really want to know?” Bosch, played by Titus Welliver, asks his inquisitive daughter, Maddie Bosch, played by Madison Lintz, as she wrestles with the challenges of being a patrol cop on the streets of Los Angeles.

Also set to learn more about Bosch, the retired LAPD homicide detective-turned-private investigator, are Bosch: Legacy fans offered ten new episodes on Prime Video worldwide, beginning on March 27, and running through to the series finale on April 17.

The third season, based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling novels Desert Star and The Black Ice, will center on a murder investigation of Kurt Dockweiler, which threatens to ruin the lives of the series’ three main characters.

In Season 3, Titus Welliver’s Harry Bosch is about to tackle his final case. In the trailer we see his daughter, Maddie (Madison Lintz), challenging her father after suspecting he may have killed Kurt Dockweiler (David Denman), who kidnapped her in season 2. “I just heard a story about my dad. About his time in Afghanistan,” Maddie says at the beginning of the trailer. After being reminded, “It was war”, she replies. “war crime, more like it. Just got me wondering … what other secrets does he have?”

We also see Maggie Q’s Renée Ballard confronting Bosch about the “darkness” inside him, as a result of his job.

Prime Video has released the new trailer and key art for its hit series Bosch: Legacy, which will return for its third and final season on March 27, with ten episodes exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Four episodes will debut on Thursday, March 27, followed by two new episodes each week until the series finale on April 17.
