The cast of Dexter: Resurrection continues to grow. This time, a fan favorite actor from The Sopranos is being brought into the mix.

Per Variety, actor Steve Schirripa, best known for playing Bobby "Bacala" Bacccalieri on The Sopranos, has joined the cast of Dexter: Resurrection. Schirripa will be playing the role of Vinny, a "greedy slumlord" who will be a recurring character. The news comes after the series started production in January ahead of its planned launch on Paramount+ with Showtime this summer.

Schirripa is well known for The Sopranos, though he recently starred on the hit CBS series Blue Bloods with his role as Detective Anthony Abetemarco. He also starred in the ABC Family series The Secret Life of the American Teenager as Leo Boykewich. The actor's film work includes Detroit Rock City, Kill the Irishman, and Under the Boardwalk.

Whispers around the watercooler imply that Boyega is prepping a prequel series based on 2010’s The Book of Eli. Ray Stevenson, the burly British actor who starred as Volstagg in the Thor movies and as the brutally evil governor in the recent Oscar-winning Indian hit Rrr, has died. He was 58.

Stevenson died Sunday, four days shy of his birthday, his publicist Nicki Fioravante told The Hollywood Reporter. The Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported he had been hospitalized on the island of Ischia while in production on the film Cassino on Ischia, directed by Frank Ciota.

No other details of his death were immediately available.

Ray Stevenson has been cast in the upcoming Disney Plus “Star Wars” series “Ahsoka,” Variety has confirmed with sources.

He joins previously announced series lead Rosario Dawson, who will star as Ahsoka Tano, as well as cast members Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Natasha Liu Bordizz, and Ivanna Sakhno.

Details on who Stevenson will be playing in the series are being kept under wraps, but it is believed that he will be playing a villain in the series, thought not the main villain, Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Liam Neeson comes to Netflix as a recently fired trucker who's enlisted for the dangerous drive. The Ice Road has its fair share of clichés, but also surprises with several unexpected twists. The tension remains taut throughout as the perspective switches back and forth from the trapped miners to the frozen road.

The story begins at a diamond mine near the arctic circle in Canada. René Lampard (Holt McCallany) goes underground to check methane readings in tunnel six. As he berates the miners for lax safety procedures, a methane pocket explodes and traps twenty-six men under tons of rubble. Mining Executive George Sickle (Matt McCoy) sees the explosion from his office. The company launches rescue operations, but cannot get to the miners.

The idea of marrying the reality-tv staple “Ice Road Truckers” with the suspense classic “The Wages of Fear” — about long-haul drivers trying to get through treacherous mountain roads with a payload of nitroglycerin — isn’t a bad one in theory. In practice, however, “The Ice Road” is so often inept and heavy-handed that not even the reliable presence of Liam Neeson can rescue it.

Neeson has become a genre unto himself in recent years, starring in one movie after another about a regular guy (with a special set of skills) who finds himself in extraordinary circumstances. Bitter Sweet follows an unassuming ex-cop who is mistaken for an infamous mob hit-man and becomes entangled in a mystery to hunt the men who brutally murdered his wife.

Liam Neeson has joined another action adventure film! This one is called The Ice Road, which is being written and directed by Jonathan Hensleigh.

Neeson will play “a ‘big-rig’ ice road driver who, after a remote diamond mine collapses in the far northern regions of Canada, must lead an impossible rescue mission over a frozen ocean to save the trapped miners. Contending with thawing waters and a massive storm, they discover the real threat is one they never saw coming.”

Yep, that sure sounds like the kind of movie Liam Neeson would sign up for! Producers Al Corley and Bart Rosenblatt had this to say in a statement:

Orange is the New Black is also back in July, but it will be the final season. The streamer confirmed last year that it was time to bring the groundbreaking series to a close.

Netflix has confirmed that 44 new original series, movies and specials will be debuting on the streaming service in Ju;y including: season 3 of “Stranger Things”; season 4 of “Queer Eye”; season 7 of “Orange is the New Black”; and season 11 of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

Among the new films on offer are: several installments of “Bangkok Love Stories”; a remake of “Point Blank” starring Anthony Mackie; the documentary “The Great Hack”‘; and the mockumentary “Frankenstein’s Monster’s Monster, Frankenstein.”

Netflix has everyone’s Fourth of July entertainment covered.

Hitting the streaming platform on July 4 is “Stranger Things” season three, which is finally returning two years after its predecessor. Martin Scorsese fans are also sure to be excited once they see four of the director’s films (“Taxi Driver” “Mean Streets” “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” and “Who’s That Knocking at My Door?”) ready to stream on the first day of the month.

Additionally, Fourth of July celebrants can look back on history with Netflix’s own revisionist features such as “Inglourious Basterds” before enjoying some family fun with more kid friendly options like “Megamind” and “Princess and the Frog.”

It’s almost July. We know that because Netflix has come through with its list of new content being added in July, and what titles are being removed from the streamer throughout the month.

Most notably, “Stranger Things” Season 3 is dropping on July 4, so you can watch fireworks And be reunited with Eleven, Will Byers, Dustin, Mike, Lucas, Max, Nancy, Jonathan, Steve Harrington, Joyce and Hopper at long last, all in one day.

“Queer Eye” Season 4 is comin’ at ya July 19, along with new episodes of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” The seventh and final season of “Orange Is The New Black” comes July 26.

Ten years on, Steven Spielberg’s (War Horse) 2002 biography movie, Catch Me If You Can, has its high-definition debut on Blu-ray.

The second film pairing Spielberg with Tom Hanks (Road to Perdition), Catch Me If You Can tells the true life story of Frank Abagnale Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio, Titanic), a young con man who passed himself off as a pilot, a lawyer and a doctor all before his 21st birthday. Hanks plays the FBI agent who tracks Frank across the globe.

Christopher Walken (Kill the Irishman) plays DiCaprio’s father in the movie, which also stars Martin Sheen (Seeking a Friend For the End of the World), Amy Adams (The Fighter), James Brolin (Burlesque) and Jennifer Garner (The Odd Life of Timothy Green).
