Back In 2013 Aliens: Colonial Marines gaved Gamers a Four Player Drop In Drop Out anytime a true fantastic Aliens game to play.
The USS Sulaco, Hadley's Hope, All Out War Story Mode, Bug Hunt Mode with 30 Waves with three full playable levels assessable,
A Jump Button, Text & Chat ingame, a Real Ending Cutscene with the Queen defeated, cool detailed levels that told stories, Sharp Sticks, Sonic Electronic Ball Breakers, Phased Rifles, Five Playable Xenos in multiplayer mode, unlockable ingame content challenges. Biggest surprise of all? Hicks is Alive!,
As well playing as Hicks, Hudson, Apone & Drake. We were given Four official Aliens cast actors among the many game highlights.
What Did The Internet off 2013 Say Again? "Liiiieeeessss" Yes the power off Youtube/Twitch that cuts down any know product down to shreds.
Okay here we are in 2021. Aliens: Fireteam Elite gaves us No Text, Chat nor a Jump button.
Three Players Only, A Crash Data Report file that eats up your HD Space, 20 Wave Horde Mode with One Map Only, No Lips Mouths Animation, A Cowboy Hat & Bun, No Ending Against The Queen, No Official Aliens Actors at all, No Xenos to play in MP, No Sharp Sticks, No Sonic Electronic Ball Breakers, No Phased Rifles, No Corporal Dwayne Hicks, No 4K Full Screen! Can't Pause The Game in Solo Mode!
The Internet Off 2021? "Wait till they polish, patch, fix, update with this free Year One Roadmap content. Cold Iron Studios they are doing so great with there First Made Game. This is what the Aliens game that should have been!" Oh Dear Me This Game Is So Horrible. Life Getting Short.
Gearbox Software gave us original content in Aliens: Colonial Marines you almighty fools. Disney & Marvel needed to trace NECA Toys well known media screenshots for a recent twelve issued Aliens comic books who truly cares about this series anymore? The Internet gave Gearbox the middle finger well look whats about to happen soon on the Alien TV Show.....oh dear you deserve nothing.

Now this is what I wanted, blasting Aliens just like the film. The game does an excellent job of putting you in the shoes of a Colonial Marine and boy oh boy is it fun!!
The story is interesting, the voice talent is mostly spot on, and the action is insane. Lots of nods and references from the films and previous games and def a love letter for fans. Looking forward to new maps and classes.
Well done, Marines!

I really enjoyed Aliens Fireteam Elite! It's far from perfect, but it's very good. The combat with all the guns, equipment, and different classes of Marines was very fun. The attention to detail with making all the super cool futuristic technology was awesome. The story was good, but not great. I definitely liked how you can play both offline or online. I didn't like the foul language, and gore, but none of that ruined it for me. Without doubt I do say this the best Alien Franchise game we have where you get to play as a Colonial Marine and would love to see more videogames like it. Have a great day, and goooo Aliens Fireteam Elite!
Another game that came to me via the Playstation Plus system that I chose to play purely because it was the next game alphabetically that I hadn't tried. My expectations weren't high, given how poor I found "Colonial Marines" to be, and I was right to be wary as, whilst this was better, it still couldn't sustain more than a couple of hours interest.
A co-operative shoot 'em up, "Fireteam Elite" sees you and two companions, either human or AI, responding to a distress call from a space station and finding it overrun by Xenomorphs. There are variations in the aliens, including spitting or exploding mutations, as well as queens and bigger 'hero' sized creatures. There are classes of characters to play as, with differing weapon loadouts and specialisms.
Nobody I know was playing the game so I progressed, for as much as I could be bothered, with two synthetic A. I. companions who, as much as anything else, conspired to drag any interest I had out of the game. They were simultaneously useless and far too effective. Killing aliens before I'd even seen them sometimes and at other points running away when we should be protecting a location or making a stand. They conspired to make a game, that might be fun with two other humans, who could talk to each other, incredibly boring. It also doesn't help that the visuals, on the space station at least, are very boring and repetitive, with endless corridors to nowhere and only one way to proceed despite the illusion of options. This might improve once you get to the planet, but I didn't stick with the game that long.
The aliens themselves do attack from all potential sides, which is interesting, but generally they follow prescribed routes and are no challenge at all. It's only in the artificial hoard mode sections that the game sets up where you can really die and it was one of those that proved to be my last interaction with the game.
As I say, it might be a better experience with other humans and you can talk about strategy but as a single player experience, it's very dull.

Captures the feel of the movies and ties in the info from some of the other games. Just a tad repetitive but overall a great bug hunt!
