I was thrilled when I learned that a game show involving Crosswords was coming to the Game Show Network. I have often thought Crossword puzzles would make a great game show and have imagined a concept of how it would work. I'm hoping that the show continues, with some much needed changes. The way the game is played currently leaves a lot to be desired. I like Leah Remini, although her voice has always really gotten on my nerves. I think she should go back to her day job and stick to acting. She just doesn't have the upbeat attitude or enthusiasm that a show like this needs. She mostly just seems very uncomfortable and she lacks the people skills that one needs to pull off the job of game show host effectively. And for pete's sake, pick up the pace. She reads the clues SOOO painfully slow that the contestants always come SOOO close to winning, but rarely do. I have watched a number of episodes where she was clearly responsible for the contestant's loss due to her pace, not theirs.

Leah takes way to long to read the clues. Also you people never say what does the 2nd place person get? Do the also get a subscription to people magazine.
If i was playing this game I'd tell Leah to read faster.

She's so dry, sarcastic and looks so uninterested in these idiots, I can't stop laughing at some of the looks she gives them. God love her. I am unsure why anyone thought she was a game show host. So bizarre. She looks like she wants to blow up the stage and call it a day😊
The show is enormously easy. The format and rules needs some work. Why get rid of someone after two rounds? What's the point of the 3 in a row nonsense?

Crossword is a pretty solid format for a game show but this one screws it up.
For starters, it's a commercial for vapid celebrity-worshipping People magazine so you know it isn't going to be "Jeopardy!" going in, but where do they get these people as contestants? An endless parade of ditzes who are completely stumped by anything that happened before 2015 or so. (One contestant didn't know Elvis is called "the King." No, really.)
Leah needs to read the clues faster in the timed rounds. And for the love of God, when a contestant in the finals finishes 5 or 6 clues short of winning, please stop saying "You were soooooooo close!" It is like nails on a chalkboard.

People puzzler is my new favorite game show. And the reason for that is Leah Remini! I absolutely Love her! Ok so I admit to having a girl-crush on her ever since I saw her on King of queens the first time. Words I would use to describe Leah are saucy, sarcastic, funny, hilarious, and awesome. She just has this Lo-key, cool type of attitude and I can relate to it so much.
I am so glad she is on the show where she can just be herself and not have to act a part. I didn't really like her and Kevin can wait or whatever that show was called.. but she is just like her character from king of queens, Carrie. And she kind of low key insults the players, but only when they really deserve it. So be sure to give this show a chance. You won't be disappointed!

I love this show. Same with my friends and family. It's usually entertaining and an easy watch. The amount of people who win in the end is decent but not too much. The variance of topics is good. Leah is hit or miss, but calmed down a lot after the first season. Yes, some contestants are really dumb, but there've also been some episodes where everyone is good and it goes down to the wire. It is also rewatchable if you've seen an episode before.
Is it my favorite show? No, but it's far from bad. It's easy to binge, you don't have to be a genius to play along and it is a lot more hit than miss. I wish it'd come back, but the fact that the catalog is as lengthy as it is makes me happy.

Yes...slow reading host.
But after round 1 player A (0 points) goes first followed by player on the right (B) . But what if player B has 500 points and player C has 200?... Order should change for 2nd round. Player A and B will take up all the long words, leaving C with 4 letter words. Even take into account who went first in round 1 toss up for ties.
And player behind should always go first in the head-to-head round (since player with 0 points goes first in round 2)

I'm sick and tired of Leah Remini wasting the contestants' precious time by reading the clues SO SLOW!!! Get with it and speed her up!!
She needs a lesson from Brooke on Master Minds. Come on, producers and directors, make this game fair!!!

Ok this is not Jeopardy, but it isn't supposed to be. I find it a fun show and I like Leah. She has a New York humor. I wish she would ease up on the face fillers though and the lips. She can barely talk because of it.

I love Leah but the lip thing catches me off guard. The music to the show is very dry and strange. Also the pink and blue seems to be the new game show thing. Very annoying To the eyes.
Also, for some reasons it seems like some of these contestants are very very weird. Some seem normal regular people, But the strange ones are very bizarre, Don't think I've ever seen anything like it on any other game show. All in all it comes across as sort of a freak show. One lady made clicking sounds woth her mouth. Are they auditioning for something? It's like they were pulled straight out of a looney bin. It's very hard to watch.

I can't watch Leah Remini on people puzzler. Boring boring boring. She is so rude to the players. Can she read any slower? She has lost the game for the contestants many times by reading sooooo slow. Why can't the producers see that? If I have to listen to her (tawk) one more time I'll scream. Who in the world thought she would be a good host? Sorry until there is another host I'm done with the show.

One of the reasons I love the show is because Leah hosts it! She makes it entertaining. The puzzle answers are pretty easy, and the flow of the show is perfect. It is true, sometimes, contestants lose time when Leah reads clues, but not enough to ruin the show.
I really enjoy this show and I think Leah is a good host. She's very good and natural at conversations with the contestants! She has fun with her contestants. The contestants are the ones that annoy me because they try too hard to be funny! They act silly and rumbustious, just trying to get the audience to laugh. Please stop! Also, Leah is such a pretty woman but who in the world picks her clothes?!? Half the time when she wears patterns she looks like she's wearing a house robe, ugh! Please hire a new fashion designer for her who will put her in solid colors. Solids bring out her beauty! Patterns drown her out and make her look like she is 80.

I think the show is very boring and not a show that needs brains as a player. Looks like the host Leah Remini had surgery on her lip and now she cannot have a decent smile. She is not a host who keeps someone's attention. I also think the game is easy. Do not have to think very hard unless you do not watch TV or movies. If this makes a second season it is not because it is a good game show or the host is good.
Leah Remimi was okay on King of Queens because of the script & Kevin James carrying her role.
BUT in her "role" on People Puzzler. She has ZERO personality, ZERO enthusiasm and ZERO facial expression. Which is probably due to her extensive plastic surgery. It's painful to look at her sad attempt to look younger. The game could be good with a better host or hostess. As pretty much anyone else would be a better choice.
Most of the reviews are along these lines..Like the game but DON'T LIKE the host..Are you people not reading this? I refyse to watch it because "yes, she is that bad" PLEASE REPLACE HER!!!!!

I am so surprised by so many negative opinions of Leah. It took her a while to feel comfortable it seemed but now she jokes with the players. I love how she interacts with them and I love the show.

Leah Remini is so very funny and cute. Too bad you all have no sense of humor and don't get her humor. At least all the contestants get her humor. All you have to do is watch the show to see how much fun everyone is having.

There are the silliest contestants on this show I have ever seen. But why does Leah imitate this silly antics? She would appear more like a professional if she would ignore the silly movements and actions of silly players.
Who in the world chooses the contestants for this show?? I'm watching the 8/16/22 episode.... Ohhmyyygoshh..... Those folks should never ever have been approved to play the game. Thumbs down big time. And I watch the show every day.... Love Leah Remini 👍

Why is it that sometimes on the head to head puzzle, one day the highest score gets to pick first, other days it is the one with the lowest score. I love this show, watch it frequently but don't understand this policy.

Great show just quit dressing Leah like a 90 year old and get her to stop saying Oh you were so close when they get 2 out 9 in the final. That's not close. And maybe Leah should stop talking so much contestants get one away from getting bonus points and they say oops we're out of time. And quit dressing so bad.
There are so many things wrong with this show, I barely know where to begin. Here goes:
First, I'd like to think Leah Remini is not a totally uneducated person, but her vocabulary definitely needs improvement. Virtually every time a contestant answers correctly, Remini responds with, "Good job!" She appears incapable of saying anything but those two words. Frankly, I'm kind of amazed neither the director nor producer of the show has urged her to come up with a few other replies. Also, at the end of the show, if the contestants fail to win $10,000, must she always say, "Don't worry, you've still won $1,000." Why would they worry?
Third, giving the third-place contestant a year's subscription to "TV Guide" is fine, I suppose. Here's my BIG gripe: Exactly what is given to the runner-up??? It would appear that person gets . . . Absolutely nothing. I realize that on most game shows the runner-up leaves empty-handed. However, if a prize, however small in value, is given to the person in THIRD place, how can the runner-up be given not a cent? It defies all logic and common sense.
Fourth, and this is the worst issue with the show: there's something inherently wrong with the way it's designed. If I've been able to observe this almost every time I've watched, how is it the creator and/or producer hasn't also caught on? And herein lies the problem: Often after the first round, the person in third place is able to forge ahead in round two by virtue of going first. By the time the third player takes his turn, despite having ended round one with a much higher score, there are not even three words left to play! What I'm saying is that the person in third place after round one should NOT be rewarded for doing poorly, yet I see this all the time.
Fifth, don't contestants have to try out before being accepted as players? I'm stunned by the idiotic responses of some of these adults. Sometimes, five letters of a six-letter word are displayed, and they still stand there with a stupid look on their face.
In sum, this show offers nothing, and I can no longer watch this drek.

Leah is the worst host of any game show I have ever seen. She needs gone. Makes people lose games. Can't read. Talks too much. I love the game but she has to go!!!!
Leah Remini isn't a good host. She just stands there stiff as a board and her facial expression seem frozen. She looks uncomfortable. The game is interesting but the host should be changed.
