Come on George, you better than this garbage of a "movie"! Half a star if that was possible! Interesting how this is supposed to be about a Mexican Family yet they play Salsa throughout the movie. Not a single funny moment except for a few remarks made. Waste of money.
Predictable and not funny at all.
Old "jokes" and bad acting from all angles.
Was looking forward to a comedy but got none of that.
Not sure why George is not funny anymore and having bad actors and bad scripts did not help this movie. Never again will I watch any of his movies. Feel bad for him because he is trying to stay in the business but he just doesn't have it anymore.

Its not the best christmas film, but not the worst ive watched and it certainly isnt the worst film ever. Claudia wants to go away for the holidays, she has not seen her family but to her surprise boyfriend leif, odd name but its ok, he pays to fly her home for the holidays. George lopez plays bennie her father and has the best acting of this film. He has strict values and so his daughter dating an american is not something he wants. Lets give the film two stars because it actually has a good title. But one needs to be taken off because they did lopez dirty with whatever they did to his face. But ill add another as he did have the best acting. Another point ill add for the three guys outside the house who I assume represent the three wise men and it fitted well to this. To get us to five stars ill add to more for the overall enjoyment. Not overally christmas feeling but it did have a sweet outcome that might be predictable. Overall an odd comedy but given the right audience people will enjoy it all the same.
That's true. When I sat down to watch "How the Gringo Stole Christmas" I expected it to be really bad. I'm no fan of George Lopez. I've never liked his standup/sitcoms. But I have to admit, Lopez does a pretty good job in this movie. His Mexican Archie Bunker routine wears itself pretty thin sometimes but he also gets more than a handful of laughs. Now, I don't want to be mean but I have to mention that I was a little surprised by how Lopez looks. He's not an attractive man. He often looks like a Mexican version of Shemp Howard. His supporting cast scores pretty well on the likeability chart, especially the three homies, which helps the movie out quite a bit. As far as super low budget straight-to-video Christmas movies go, "How the Gringo Stole Christmas" isn't so bad.
You may think this is racist towards light skin brothers and sisters, and it is, but you may be surprised to know that it's also prejudice against Hispanic cultures by offering nauseating stereotypes of them. If you're familiar with George Lopez, none of this should come as a surprise to you, unless your only exposure to him is from his sitcom, an era when there was hope for the comedy of George, before he starts to take his racial views to the front stage of everything. On another note, some folks don't care about messages, and can watch everything with a shallow attachment to the story, and may very well find some degree of endearing sincerity to some of this.
Since George Lopez lives in California, he will have no problem finding a psychiatrist, but finding a good one and willing to put in the work is whole other challenge.
This film was a low-budget dumpster film, but clearly George has some unsolved issues (probably from childhood trauma) because he keeps making the same story over and over and over again.
Due to being bullied by his Mexican family and friends for being dark-skin and having a wide nose that he grew this hatred i.e. Jealousy for white guys because deep down he wishes he was them. However, he should let go of that trauma and be happy with the past success that he has achieved because at this point is becoming pathetic to see a well-to-do old man still lingering on the past and putting his frustration on innocent people who have nothing to do with your past.
