Exclusive: Virginia Madsen (Sideways), Vondie Curtis-Hall (Harriet), Lilli Cooper (Broadway’s Tootsie), Dominic Fumusa (13 Hours) and Matt Dallas (Kyle Xy) have signed on to star alongside Steven Grayhm in the indie drama Sheepdog, which Grayhm is directing from his own script.

I’d love to say that I was wowed by Netflix’s series adaption of Kristin Hannah’s novel, Firefly Lane (dropping Wednesday, Feb. 3). Truth be told, I dive into every show that I’m tasked with reviewing hoping the same thing — to be dazzled, stunned, impressed.

I was none of those things. There was nothing there that we haven’t seen before, done smarter, more wittily and incisively, simply better.

Cohen told Time that he was "misgendered at birth" and is coming out to advocate for a community he perceives as under fire in its struggle for civil rights, reports deadline.com.

The 43-year-old Cohen doesn't like the word "transgender" as a self-description. He said he finds something missing in the word.

His "core being" has always been male, he said.

"In my experience, I was born male. What my body said about it was irrelevant. No matter how hard I tried, it was not up for negotiation. Believe me, it would have been so convenient if I was actually a woman," Cohen said.

Netflix has ordered 10 episodes of Firefly Lane, a drama series based on the bestselling novel by Kristin Hannah, from Maggie Friedman (No Tomorrow).

Written and executive produced by Friedman, who also serves as showrunner, Firefly Lane centers on Kate and Tully, who meet as young girls and become inseparable best friends throughout thirty years of ups and downs, successes and failures, depression and disappointments. When an unthinkable betrayal breaks them apart, the two women go their separate ways and it’s unclear whether they will ever be able to reconcile.

Friedman executive produces with Stephanie Germain. Hannah is co-executive producer.

When Grimm’s makers were looking for their Nick Burkhardt, the job was to cast someone with all the requirements of a leading man, but none of the distracting ‘wasn’t he in that other thing?’ baggage. In David Giuntoli, whose TV appearances had until then largely been confined to one-off roles in comedies and dramas including Grey’s Anatomy and Ghost Whisperer (the latter produced, not at all coincidentally, by Grimm co-creator Jim Kouf), they found their guy.

With Giuntoli in place, and a solid cast of regulars around him including Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Russell Hornsby, Reggie Lee and Claire Coffee, it was time to fill in the guest roles.

Entertainment Weekly, as they always seem to do, scored themselves the very first still from "Witches of East End," starring Julia Ormond, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Rachel Boston, and Madchen Amick. Check it out!

The ten-episode series, produced by Fox 21, will premiere later this year. "Witches of East End" was one of four hourlong pilots Lifetime ordered last summer. Patrick Heusinger and Daniel Ditomasso play brothers Dash and Killian Gardiner.

Based on Melissa de la Cruz’s best-selling novel, "Witches of East End" centers on the adventures of Joanna Beauchamp (Ormond) and her two adult daughters, Freya (Dewan-Tatum) and Ingrid (Boston), both of whom unknowingly are their family’s next generation of witches. Amick stars as Joanna’s mischievous witch sister, Wendy. “This is one of the most exciting ensemble casts we’ve seen, and the whole show is fresh, original, and just right for Lifetime,” Lifetime’s Evp Rob Sharenow said.

There are certainly a number of questions surrounding the Grey's Anatomy Season 10 premiere, but while Shonda Rhimes remains mum on most answers, we can at least confirm the following:

Veronica Cartwright - a veteran actress known for supernatural roles on Invasion, The X- Files and Eastwick - will guest star on the two-hour September opener. Details on her role remain unclear at this time.

ABC has also announced that Bobby Campo and Heather Hemmens will stop by the premiere and both may also turn up later in the season.

Grey's Anatomy returns with new episodes on Thursday, September 26.

Witches of East End has cast its spell on Virginia Madsen, tapping the Oscar-nominated Sideways actress for a multi-episode arc, TVLine has learned exclusively.

The new Lifetime drama — which received a 10-episode order in January — centers on Joanna Beauchamp (Julia Ormond) and her two adult daughters Freya (American Horror Story‘s Jenna Dewan-Tatum) and Ingrid (American Dreams’ Rachel Boston), both of whom unknowingly are their family’s next generation of witches.

Madsen will play Penelope Gardiner, the mother of Freya’s fiance Dash (Eric Winter).

Lifetime’s latest television venture – this time taking the network into the supernatural – has hit a speed bump as it works toward its 10-episode order. While no production is ever perfect, it must be frustrating when an actor leaves, no matter at what point. That is the trouble Witches of East End is having now that Gossip Girl and Royal Pains actor Patrick Heusinger has left the drama for reasons unexplained. This leaves a spot open in the cast and, I would imagine, broken hearts from whomever was really looking forward to working with him. I sincerely hope nobody had grown too attached.

TNT’s King & Maxwell is turning into a family affair!

EW has learned exclusively that Jerry O’Connell is set to guest star on an episode of wife Rebecca Romijn’s show King & Maxwell, which premieres June 10 on TNT.

O’Connell, who recently appeared on Munsters reboot Mockingbird Lane, will play a character named Waskiewicz, a low-rent D.C. Pi who tends to be a step behind on all his cases. (“I don’t ask questions” is literally on his business card.) The episode is set to air in mid-July.

Per Deadline, the ten-episode series, produced by Fox 21, will premiere later this year. "Witches of East End" was one of four hourlong pilots Lifetime ordered last summer. Patrick Heusinger and Daniel Ditomasso play brothers Dash and Killian Gardiner.
