It is the second time that actors Andy Lau and Tony Leung Chiu-wai cooperate with director Felix Chong after film Infernal Affairs (2002) 20 years ago.
Tony Leung actually ate food 5 times and drank 15 times on screen.
The charactersAndy Lau and Tony Leung Chiu-wai played had their first and last encounters while Tony Leung Chiu-wai's character was having meal.
The movie premiered on December 30th 2023 in regions with sizable Chinese communities, including Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, United States of America and Canada. It went on to be the highest grossing Hong Kong movie that premiered in 2023 for all these regions.
Movie inspired by real-life financial criminal George Tan and the Carrian Group scandal.
