I was really hoping that the action scenes would be somewhat grounded. Yes as an animated show they tend to bend the laws of physics but I thought.......anyway in the very first scene she jumps over a 60 foot chasm and uses her knife to cut through stone. No human can reach even half that. Gets bitten on the foot by an alligator without any noticeable injury then proceeds to easily move around a half dozen men fighting them without any noticeable injury. I can't stand stuff like this. Show was over for me for the most part. The acting is ok and some nice animation but I can't take a show seriously when they do Road Runner cartoon stuff. Fail.
I was quite excited when the announcement was made and when the trailers were released, but now not so much.
Afzer the first episode I:m not interested at all. It doesn't seem like the way it's adapted here lends it very well to television or animation.
It starts with a bogus jump from Lara ala Dwayne Johnson in Skyscraper, then she cuts stone with her knife and runs around easily after getting bit into the feet by an aligator, which she killed, but the water is void of any blood.
You of course have more freedom with animation to do things a bit over the top, but this is just so far from reality. In the games and even the Alicia Vikander movie things were more grounded and it felt better.
Also the show doesn't seem to have an intro except the title in a weird looking 3D environment.
And you have opening credits while the show is running, which I always hate.
And it being Netflix they of course had to add the gayest black character anyone could think of in it without any reason.

It seemed so weird that they decided to use a kids show animation house for something that should be R rated. Considering the games rating why would you be promoting the survivor trilogy to kids. If that wasn't the intention then the art style does not match. I was real excited to see the continuation but from the first episode there are plot holes. Like she is shocked to had to fight like it was the first time she has in her life. Considering it's a continuation and not a reboot we all know she's seen a lot worse. Also was disappointed the voice of Lara was not the same as in the game but Jonah was the same. I really wish they used the game engine that they already had. It would have been great with the art style of the games.
Just another typical modern adoption of a thing gamers used to love.
The father figure trauma made me want to scream at the screen so horrible, boring and cliche it is.
Lara seemed soft and incompetent......instead of the strong amazing character I remember from the games.
She does too much crying.....like every episode?!
Not a fan of the animation or art style.....animation fps drop and I don't know why or how or......wth is happening.
I'll just stick to the videogames from now on. Not sure who this was made for, but definitely not all the kids who downloaded the mods for lara croft videogames.
Really dissapointed in this one.

Lara croft is a legendary franchise, from the jagged edged video games to the modern movies, she has become an iconic character.
This TV show fails to capture almost any element that makes the character what it is. Lara croft in this show might as well be super human, to the point where even people who play the video games will be forced chuckle. The script is hilariously bad, with plot holes making you question everything from the very first episode and that could have easily been remedied with a little bit of attention.
To make matters worse the unrealistic dialogues land on your ears like screeching chalk on a board. This is not how normal people communicate.. I refuse to believe the voice actors are this bad, therefore I can only blame the direction that they were given by the production team.
The animation is fine, nothing ground breaking like Foghill of the five elements or the Blue Eye Samurai, but it does not drag the show backwards like all the other elements do. So the show deserves some praise for that. However it cannot save the overall product from being bad.
Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara is just a poor attempt at reinventing a legendary character.
