The Lightning and Thunder Case

The town of Prairie City has been suffering under what they call the Thunder and Lightning Gang. They strike during rainstorms, setting buildings ablaze and frizzling the hair of the good citizens of Prairie City. Despite the efforts of local know-it-all Mortimer Einstein Mortimer, they round up a posse and put on a trial for the bad boys.

This cartoon explains how lightning and thunder occur and what should be done about it. Produced, as it was, during the depths of the worst period of animation in the US -- because animation is the most expensive form of film making -- it uses rough drawings and partial animation.
