NBC has picked up a single-camera comedy pilot based at a Native American community center, Variety has learned exclusively.
The untitled, single-camera comedy hails from writers Sierra Teller Ornelas, Jackie Keliiaa, and Bobby Wilson. All three are also executive producers, with Teller Ornelas set to serve as showrunner. Morgan Sackett will also executive produce. Universal Television, where both Teller Ornelas and Sackett are under overall deals, is the studio.
The official logline for the pilot states that it is “An ensemble comedy set at a Native community center in Oakland, Calif. The employees hustle to keep the lights on while lifting up those in need.”
The pilot reunites Teller Ornelas, Wilson, and Sackett, who all previously worked together on the Peacock series “Rutherford Falls,” which also focused on Native issues through comedy. In the two episode premiere of Daredevil: Born Again, Bullseye is heavily featured in the show’s shocking opening scene. Death follows him everywhere he goes, but why was he actually there? What was his goal? Who sent him? None of these questions are answered in the premiere. They’re left burning in our minds.
Spoilers Below.
In the premiere of Born Again, Bullseye shows up and shoots Foggy Nelson straight in the chest, killing him, but why? What was the point? The show seems to want us to think it was just an act of vengeance against Daredevil, but I don’t think so. There are some hints that point towards Bullseye’s appearance being a specifically targeted hit put out on Foggy Nelson. It wasn’t just random violence or revenge. Poindexter was hired to kill Foggy, but not by the Kingpin.

This article contains spoilers for "Daredevil: Born Again" season 1, episode 1.
"Daredevil: Born Again" continues the story of the Defenders Saga-era "Daredevil" show, but there's an unusual hiccup -- its two key characters haven't exactly been absent from the Marvel Cinematic Universe as of late. Matt "Daredevil" Murdock (Charlie Cox) made his MCU entrance with a quick "Spider-Man: No Way Home" cameo in 2021 before being part of a controversial storyline on "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law" (2022) and turning up for a quick but impressive fight scene in the first episode of "Echo" (2024), titled "Chafa." As a key antagonist of both "Echo" and the 2021 show "Hawkeye" (where the character was very different), Wilson "Kingpin" Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) has had a rougher path. The end of "Hawkeye" sees his protégé Maya "Echo" Lopez (Alaqua Cox) put a bullet in the crime lord's head, and the events of "Echo" show that Kingpin has been busy...

Daredevil: Born Again is the latest television series to hit Disney+ from Marvel Studios, and arguably the most anticipated. So far, the buzz surrounding the series has been positive as it aims to match the same level of quality the Netflix series reached years prior. Daredevil: Born Again features the return of Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, who recently appeared in other Marvel Cinematic Universe projects like Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Echo. Now, the Man Without Fear will finally get his own spotlight within the MCU in the forthcoming nine-episode season, which already has Season 2 filming.
Daredevil: Born Again notably bears the same title as the 1986 story arc written by Frank Miller and drawn by David Mazzucchelli.

Daredevil: Born Againgained an early boost from its first audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes, which opened with a strong 92% approval rate and, at the time of writing, has risen to 95%. However, critics have not been quite as impressed with the new iteration of The Man Without Fear as they were with Netflix’s original three-season series. Naturally, comparisons were always going to be made, and it looks like for some critics, Marvel fatigue is just something they can’t bring themselves to get over.
When Daredevil burst onto screens on Netflix in 2015, it brought a brutal adaptation of Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk’s battle for supremacy in New York City to life with a near-perfect 99% score from critics. Season 2 took a little dip at 81%, before rounding off with a 97% score for Season 3. Daredevil: Born Again has opened its account with 83%, just above the current franchise low. While this could...

Much like every other kid in the ‘90s with little to no access to comic books, my introduction to Daredevil was through Spider-Man: The Animated Series. When the character made his live-action debut with that Ben Affleck-led feature film, everyone decided to hate it, but I enjoyed it. I mean, I liked it to the extent that I was skeptical about the Netflix adaptation, especially after learning that he wouldn’t be wearing his costume till the very end. However, with each episode of that first season, Charlie Cox and the insanely talented team working around him won me over so much that I was ready to sing hymns about him. A lot of people didn’t like Season 2, and I disagree with all of them. And I think that Season 3 was perfect, cementing Cox’s Matt Murdock as the definitive portrayal of the character. For a second, due...

Plot: Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with heightened abilities is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
Review: Just under ten years ago, Marvel brought its first street-level hero to Netflix with Daredevil. While the series would be followed by Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and a crossover event in Defenders, the Charlie Cox-led Daredevil was the best series of the bunch. After three seasons, Daredevil ended its Netflix run, and the cast said goodbye to the denizens of Hell’s Kitchen. But, when Marvel Studios reacquired the full rights to the characters, we saw Cox show up in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney At Law while Vincent D’Onofrio returned as Wilson Fisk in the Disney+ series Hawkeye and Echo.

Neither believes the other for a second, and for that matter, neither do we. This show’s very existence hinges on the inevitability of these characters backsliding; if they were ever to truly evolve past their well-worn roles as superhero and supervillain, there would be nothing to see here.

The release of Daredevil: Born Again is nearly upon us, but the character has already appeared in several live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe projects, including Spider-Man: No Way Home, Echo, and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. While speaking with IGN, Charlie Cox acknowledged that his appearance in She-Hulk was divisive for some fans, who found it a little too comedic for their taste.
“It’s funny how many opinions I’ve heard about this little moment in She-Hulk,” Cox said. “There’s the Walk of Shame, which was a last-minute idea where they set up a big green screen and just had me walk across it carrying my shoes. And a lot of people don’t like it, and a lot of people love it.“
Cox defended the character’s comedic tone in She-Hulk, explaining that you can’t really throw the dark and gloomy Daredevil into the world of Jennifer Walters without a few changes.

Hauling in a jaw-dropping 2.8 billion dollars, Marvel's superhero blockbuster Avengers: Endgame is one of the highest-grossing films of all time and will likely remain in the top ten for decades to come. Beyond this staggering commercial success, the film is also a huge hit with critics and fans alike, posting an impressive Rotten Tomatoes score of 94% and a Popcornmeter score of 90%. However, in the years since the Marvel Cinematic Universe's historic success, critics have soured on the franchise, and box offices have floundered.
Avengers: Endgame was the culmination of eleven years of storytelling across over a dozen films — the definitive end to a chapter, as its name suggests. As such, there was little chance of Marvel's next entries echoing its level of success. However, the studio has been fumbling to find any footing. Despite their efforts, they can't build up momentum for their next Phase, largely due to some key missteps.

After a long seven-year absence from the small screen, the tough and resilient Matt Murdock will once again be kicking butt and taking names as the blind masked vigilante in the long-awaited revival series Daredevil: Born Again. Charlie Cox reprises his role as the famous Hell's Kitchen lawyer with superhuman senses in epic fashion. The beloved hero finds himself being pulled back into his former life as a crime fighter when his powerful nemesis, Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, decides to run for mayor of New York City.
The show will feature a slew of familiar faces returning to the fan-favorite franchise, including Vincent D'Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, and Jon Bernthal, and the first season is set to make its highly-anticipated premiere on March 4, 2025 on Disney+. Judging by the rip-roaring trailer that was recently released for the revival, audiences are in for quite the treat when Murdock and the rest of the gang officially join the MCU.

Captain America: Brave New World might be nearing a $300 million global box office collection, however, it is considered a disaster. Fans should note that the budget of the film is $180 million and the film still has to make it past roughly $350 million to break even.
The film received mixed reviews from viewers, who weren’t convinced of Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as the next Captain America after Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers. Fans were divided on the film’s political commentary, story, and characterization. However, Harrison Ford’s performance as the Red Hulk received praise.

Daredevil: Born Again hasn't even premiered yet, and Season 2 is already kicking off production in New York City. Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio spoke with Collider about the first season, which debuts on Mar. 4, along with both actors' reactions to Season 2's scripts.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will not be part two of Season 1, but a new one that builds upon what fans will soon see, according to D'Onofrio, as some fans speculated. Cox also commented on what he's read so far from returning producer and showrunner, Dario Scardapane, and his team:
"I've read six of eight [scripts], and honestly — and I don't normally say this kind of thing; I always err on the side of caution — that's some of my favorite stuff I've read of 'Daredevil.' What [Dario has] done so far with this new season is so cool and so different and so sinister, and I'm really, really excited about it.

As Daredevil: Born Again is ready to hit Disney+, here are a few things to remember about the saga’s return!
It’s been a long wait for fans of Daredevil. The Netflix series did a great job adapting the comics of Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), the blind lawyer who moonlights as vigilante Daredevil. The show wrapped up its third season in 2018, only for Netflix to cancel it and the other Defenders spin-offs as Disney took more control.
Thankfully, Daredevil is coming back in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series. It’s a continuation of the Netflix show, and given that it’s been seven years since the show ended, some may have forgotten how it left off. So, to prepare for the return of Daredevil, here are a few things to remember!

Jon Favreau's 2008 film "Iron Man" kicked off the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a multimedia superhero property that would remain dominant in the pop consciousness for over a decade. Initially, "Iron Man" and Louis Leterrier's own 2008 MCU movie "The Incredible Hulk" (which finally got a sequel of sorts in 2025) were meant to be mere stand-alone superhero sories, only including references to the Avengers as a cute wink to fans. But when Disney purchased the Marvel library in 2009, a grander plan was put in motion, laying out multiple films at once, each one introducing a new character. Eventually, all the superhero characters teamed up in 2012's "The Avengers," which was essentially the cinematic version of a TV season finale. That structure held fast through to "Avengers: Endgame" in 2019, the 22nd film in the franchise, and one that featured many, many superheroes.
While the McU's movies were dominating theaters, Netflix got in on the action as well.

Marvel Studios has a lot of characters, teams, and stories to turn into interesting Disney Plus TV shows and big-budget movies. We’ve seen creators take characters like the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy and turn them into household names. It’s one of the reasons why projects such as Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror Inc. were reportedly planned to be future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.
Unfortunately, it sounds like all three of those projects have been placed on hold. Deadline reports that "these projects were never officially greenlit, and may still come to fruition at some point" but that Marvel "has simply shifted its priorities at the moment.”

Daredevil: Born Again showrunner Dario Scardapane has teased the "intense" return of Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle/The Punisher in the upcoming Disney+ series, which also brings back Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Elden Henson as Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page.
Exact story details about Punisher's highly anticipated comeback are under wraps for now. However, Scardapane has assured fans that Frank has not lost his edge when it comes to his strong and stoic demeanor. The Daredevil: Born Again showrunner told Entertainment Weekly how "satisfying" it was to work with Bernthal again, having previously collaborated with the actor on Netflix's The Punisher, on which Scardapane served as a writer and executive producer during its two-season run.

Daredevil: Born Again sees Charlie Cox's titular antihero from Hell's Kitchen fight fiery battles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on a broad scale for the first time. However, Cox teases that fans of Matt Murdock could see him transition from the Disney+ series back to the big screen, teasing the possibility of him appearing in the next two Avengers films, Doomsday and Secret Wars.
Speaking with GQ, Cox addressed Daredevil's potential big-screen MCU features, including the Avengers sequels and Spider-Man 4. Admitting that "it's more possible than it's ever been" for Murdock to come face-to-face with the new-look Avengers, Cox believes a Daredevil appearance in the upcoming superhero blockbusters would elevate his character's standing.

Daredevil: Born Again is set to debut on Disney+ on Mar. 4, 2025, and fans are excited to see the Man Without Fear's story continue after his original series, Daredevil, was canceled on Netflix in 2018. Now that Charlie Cox and the Daredevil cast are transitioning over to Disney+, fans are excited about more potential crossovers with beloved characters, including a possible reunion with She-Hulk, played by Tatiana Maslany.
Despite the initial series ending seven years ago, fans have had no shortage of Charlie Cox as Daredevil with appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Echo, and, more recently, as a variant in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Daredevil's biggest role in the MCU to date was in the 2022 series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, where he teamed up with fellow lawyer/superhero Jennifer Walters, a.k.a. A new TV spot for Daredevil: Born Again has been released. With less than a month to go until the series premieres on Disney+, the trailer comes packed with new footage from the hotly-anticipated Daredevil continuation.
"I was raised to believe in grace, that we can be transformed into a better person. But I was also raised to believe in retribution," Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock narrates over the beginning of the TV spot. The 30-second ad then reminds viewers that Born Again has been rated TV-ma, meaning that fans can expect a bloody season of television. The rest of the TV spot features new looks at the season's main antagonists — Muse, Kingpin, and Bullseye — as well as the new superhero White Tiger. There's also a brief shot of Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle suited back up as The Punisher, complete with a new skull vest.Check out the TV spot below.

When Daredevil premiered on Netflix in 2015, it quickly became one of the most popular Marvel shows of all time. Unlike the MCU at the time, the show didn't hold back on violence. It was gritty and brutal, focusing on street-level brawls rather than huge intergalactic wars and sci-fi stories. Daredevil was praised for its grounded and raw approach, a route Disney was always hesitant to take.
Sadly, Netflix axed Daredevil after three seasons; this was back when Disney was readying its own streaming service, Disney+, and it didn't want Marvel characters appearing elsewhere. Since then, Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock has been showing up across the MCU, making cameos in projects like Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk, and Echo. And in March, he'll make his triumphant solo return to our screens in Daredevil: Born Again.

You have to give it to Matt Murdock — he's one persistent man. He survived being stabbed by a member of the Hand, an entire building falling over him, and worse of all: The fallout of the Netflix and Disney deal. While there was a time when audiences weren't sure whether we'd see more of Daredevil on live-action projects, everything changed the day he made a surprise appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home and helped clear Peter Parker's name. Now, it's time for someone else to return the favor and make an unexpected cameo in Matt Murdock's first stand-alone series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

We're now almost exactly one month away from the release of Daredevil: Born Again, the MCU Disney+ series that will see Charlie Cox return to his fabled role of Matt Murdock which he first brought to life in the Netflix Daredevil series before also portraying the character in Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk, and Echo. According to Daredevil: Born Again star, Vincent D'Onofrio, Wilson Fisk will undergo a drastic transformation (literally) in the new MCU series. D'Onofrio, best known for his roles in Full Metal Jacket and Men in Black, has portrayed Wilson Fisk in the Daredevil universe since the show's first season a decade ago, back in 2015. Along with Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, D'Onofrio's Fisk also made the jump to the MCU early. The actor has reprised the role twice in the MCU so far, appearing in the Disney+ shows Hawkeye and Echo. Across his tenure as the character, D'Onofrio has made subtle adjustments to his physicality for the hulking role. But, Born Again will take things to the next level.

2024 saw the release of several original shows on the Disney+ streaming platform, most of them related to Marvel and Star Wars franchises. MCU offerings last year included ‘Echo,’ ‘Agatha All Along,’ and a revival of the popular X-Men show, ‘X-Men ’97.’ While all shows had decent critical reception it seems that viewership numbers reflect a different picture altogether.
According to data provided by Luminate, Disney+ saw a decline in viewership for major 2024 Marvel series ‘Echo’ and ‘Agatha All Along,’ which performed worse than 2023 hits like ‘Loki’ and ‘Secret Invasion,’ – and we use the term “hit” loosely to describe ‘Secret Invasion,’ but according to this data, it had more viewers than last year’s shows.

As you can see, ‘Agatha All Along’ was MCU’s most-watched show last year with 2,284M minutes watched overall, followed by ‘Echo’ with 1.537M minutes watched and ‘X-Men ’97’ with 1.437M minutes watched.

Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk are back, but Daredevil: Born Again intends to use their shared screen time wisely.

Charlie Cox's Daredevil will undoubtedly be a key figure in the new era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Devil's work is never done...
After numerous leaks, Marvel Studios has finally released the first official trailer for Daredevil: Born Again, and fans who may have been concerned that this revival series would tone down the brutality of the original Netflix show need not have worried!
While this trailer does reuse some shots from the leaked teasers, there's plenty of new footage of the Man Without Fear in action as he asserts his particularly violent brand of justice on the criminals of Hell's Kitchen.
The preview begins with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) sitting down with his old enemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio), who decided to run for mayor of NYC in the season finale of Echo.
As Murdock makes it clear that he's sceptical of the Kingpin's motives (and who could blame him?), we get quick glimpses of the masked villain known as Muse, an incarcerated Bullseye (Wilson Bethel...

Daredevil is back in the MCU once again.
Disney has released the trailer for the upcoming Marvel TV series, “Daredevil: Born Again,” coming to Disney+ on March 4, 2025.
The gritty, street-level Marvel series will be the official reintroduction of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and his cast of characters from the original Marvel TV series that launched on Netflix. The last time MCU fans saw Daredevil, he was hooking up with Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk, in the 2022 Disney+ series “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.” He also popped up briefly in the Disney+ series “Echo” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” as Peter Parker’s lawyer. “Born Again” will be the first TV series starring Cox as Daredevil after his Netflix series wrapped after three seasons, and it brings back several other key characters like Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher.
The “Daredevil: Born Again” logline reads: “Matt Murdock...

Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) return in the first teaser trailer for “Daredevil: Born Again,” the new series that resurrects the characters from Marvel’s Netflix series on Disney+.
The trailer is framed by a sit-down between Murdock and Fisk, the latter of whom is now Mayor of New York City. “It’s not entirely unpleasant seeing you again,” Fisk tells Murdock as the relationship is more frenemy than adversarial (at least for now).
The trailer also goes heavy on the hard-hitting action for which the three seasons of the Netflix show were known, while also bringing Jon Bernthal’s Punisher into the fold. How many of Marvel’s Netflix characters will appear in “Born Again” is uncertain but the show looks aimed to soft-reboot that initiative under the Disney+ banner.
The new show will debut on Disney+ on Mar. 4.
