Rosie Jones in Trip Hazard (2021)

7/10

A Great British, Female, Gay, Disabled, Covid Compliant Adventure.

((This was, the far superior, working title of the series when it was first announced))

Likable comedian Rosie Jones gets a format which is essentially a domestic equivalent to Travel Man and it functions fairly well. The indulgent framing device of an indifferent Channel 4 executive gets old in episode two (as well as the needless cameos) and Oscar-winner Olivia Colman's sarcastic narration sadly feels incredibly flat but the meat of the thing, her hanging out in picturesque British areas and doing bits and bobs with various comedians (and Scarlett Moffatt) is pretty fun. The best eps are with Maddix and Wilkinson, who play against Rosie incredibly well, and I hope the original glorious title was eschewed because they intend do continue it on when the current situation passes. I'd love to see her and Joe Lycett in Hull, or taking Tom Allen for a scrumpy in Somerset.

Bless You Rosie...xxx

This has had me in stitches, laughing out loud and a one point gasping for breath (Elvis- Thank You Very Much) The energy, might and humour of this woman is phenomenal. I love her to bits. She's got more balls than a Snooker Table and it is an utter joy to watch. Bless you Rosie here's wishing for Series 3👍
