Cute...

Carrie is a big-city teenager whose life takes a turn when she moves to the Wyoming horse ranch to live with her father. But things change when Carrie meets Flicka, a black mustang mare who is as untamed and temperamental as the girl herself. The two form a very special connection and Carrie grows closer to her father and an attractive local boy, but when a jealous rival puts Flicka's life in danger, Carrie will do anything to save her best friend.

Cute, it's not a sequel to the first one, just a recreation based on Mary's original work on Flicka, cute, the drama is different from the first one, but even more intense and interesting, don't judge me, I love movies with cute animals, and I always root for your freedoms... Cute...

bland family fare

Skateboarding Pittsburg girl Carrie (Tammin Sursok) is forced to move in with her estranged father Hank McLaughlin (Patrick Warburton) on his Wyoming range. Her mother died 7 years ago and her delusional grandma guardian has to go into a home. The only friend she makes is the wild horse Flicka. She falls for young handsome range hand Jake (Reilly Dolman). Toby (Clint Black) manages the horses on the farm. Amy Walker (Emily Tennant) is the arrogant neighbor who also has a crush on Jake.

This is a sequel to a relatively unseen family film. It made some money after its lackluster theatrical run which allowed the producers to make this straight to video sequel. Nobody is back from the original except the character of Flicka. I'm guessing it's not the same horse (Safe guess). The lead girl is fine. Warburton without his humor is fine. Everything is fine if all you want is family viewing with horses. There is nothing offensive. It's a safe and bland watch.

This is a very nice, watchable film about a girl and a horse, Flicka.

great family film everyone will love!!

I have to be honest, I am not a big horse person, but with this movie, you cant help fall in love with Flicka and all the people surrounding her. This is such a sweet film regarding difficult situations and getting through them with love. Even the wild, can be tamed. Plus you get to see beautiful scenery, surrounding this story.

We need more movies out like this that you can be proud to bring your children to. And not have to worry about profanity, and sexual content. Also, any violence. I applaud FLICKA 2 and all involved! What a great cast. The director did a fantastic job! A must see for all! Tell all your friends to purchase this movie!!

Great family movie.

I won't go into the storyline, as many have already done so. This is a great movie for preteens and younger teens. There are many lessons to be learned. Most kids (At least ours did.) see rules and chores as a form of punishment instead of a form of love and protection. This movie does, in fact, show this very well. Kids can see that Carrie's dad does love her and is encouraging her to learn the lessons of hard work, (None of her chores were that hard.) honesty and true friendship.

Being ranch and horse people, we noticed a few mistakes. The using of different horses for different scenes is pretty much normal and understandably necessary, but I do wish they would get the genders of the horse accurate. A gelding should not be used to depict a mare. I do wish someone would check to make sure a man wearing a belt gets the belt through all of the belt loops. 🙄

Having spent a few of my childhood years living in Beautiful B. C., it was wonderful to see the beautiful countryside.

Someone reported that reining is not that popular in the northwest, not true. Some 55 years ago my dad completed in a couple of reining and cutting classes in Kamloops, where part of this movie was filmed. (This brought back many warm and fuzzy memories.) Horse people love compitetion of any kind, whether it be roping, cutting reining or whatever.
