Didn't like the characters

The common premises of reporter doing hatchet job meets dating app developer defending her app. The story gets a little more complicated than the standard. There are a couple of slightly different twists toward the end including a twist on usual conflict generated by the reporter.

I didn't find any of the silly situations funny. There is a sequence of several lines of gibberish - not funny either.

The acting was poor especially Kabby Borders, but several others as well. Jennifer Michno was OK, but her character was unlikeable from the start and most of the way through. She wasn't the least charming or friendly and she had a lack of self-confidence which also detracted from the character. Tyler Corurtad also was unlikeable. His reporter character did nothing to improve my impression of reporters. He doesn't seem to be happy unless he is confronting someone to the point of ticking them off. These two didn't really have chemistry until late, if at all. As in so many stories in this genre, the lead characters attitudes toward each other change too quickly and without any read justification from the story.

As much trouble as I had liking the main characters, the result was that I really didn't care how the story would end.

Ok but I can't really be bothered with bridezillas - get some perspective! Oh and why 35 cut-off again?

This is yet another movie that mentions being 35! We all do things in our own time, don't get hung up on a number! This movie has a good mixture of 30-somethings and retired, but it is hard to warm to certain characters, especially the bridezilla. However, some of them do develop to become rounder personalities as the story progresses. Overall, the film is quite realistic, but a teeny bit too stressful for me, although there are a few unexpected jokey moments. It is quite a wordy movie, so not super-interesting visually, apart from the bright summer colours, which is cheerful to watch on a gray winter's day.

Waste of time.

Not sure what I can add to the previous review, except to say I completely agree this movie was completely disappointing.

Well, I managed to make it to the end!

Stunning family home in a gorgeous location. Fresh faces. That's about all this had going for it. I know that the offerings on UpTV are on a budget, but did they really have to sink so low as to steal a 6th grader's writing assignment? This was a master class in utilizing every tired plot point from the bridezilla to misunderstandings to not one, but TWO, montages. What a muddled mess with zero chemistry, cringey dialogue, unresolved story lines, and yet another POC best friend. Why can't we have POC be the main characters? I'd love to see a lot more color represented rather than every production be whitewashed. And I'm white!

Really cute movie, great leading lady

This is a very cute, very Hallmark-y movie with a bit of a wedding crushers vibe. I enjoyed the original story line, and found the two leads to be really likable.
