Beautiful film

I had the privilege of screening this film at The Sedona Int Film Festival.

What a beautifully crafted film. The cast are spectacular from the leads characters to the supporting roles. Wonderful direction.

The film captures a piece of the world and a culture that many of us (myself included) don't have experience with, While incorporating universal themes of love and sexuality that all humans can relate to. Bravo, more of this!

The locations, the production design are so authentic you feel like you can smell the environment they are in.

This film should be shown in theaters. Bravo bravo bravo.

Strong, Poignant, Real

The story is set in the Haredim (Ultra Orthodox) neighborhood of Jerusalem, where life is very different from a life of an average religious or non-religious person living in the 21st century. The community is quite closed and everyone has to strictly abide by the rules created and written by Elokim (the God) be it clothing, celebrations, everyday life activities and especially family life. The concept of sexuality doesn't really exist in Elokim's perspective therefore it naturally causes a lot of suffering with these people, but they are not allowed whatsoever to talk about it so most of them suffer silently until the end of their lives. The film masterfully opens the door of this community for us to peek in and see what is really going on there add how gruesome it can get to. Amazing script, wonderful acting, long and strong aftertaste.
