Good choice if you want to feel bored

Only for people who have never lived in the countryside and want to have a firsthand experience of boredom, despair and stupidity for 90 minutes.

A slow movie that drags on for 116 minutes

The lead actress's acting was very good but the movie never really gets going. It moves slowly through progressive events with no real connection. Some results are predictable but basically a sad for all involved including the animals and told poorly.

Several people left the cinema mid film. There are English subtitles but the trailer I found online was in German. This movie was chosen by our German consulate as the German submission to our European Film Festival. Despite great expectations this movie did not live up to the hype that preceded it.
