All The Taylor Swift Songs In ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ So Far … & Our Predictions On Season 3’s Needle Drops
Image
At this point, fans have come to expect at least a few Taylor Swift needle drops in each season of The Summer I Turned Pretty, since author and creator of the show Jenny Han has a personal connection to this music. The songstress knows a thing or two about the complications of love, something Lola Tung’s Belly Conklin is figuring out for herself in this YA series, which will conclude with the current Season 3. Han has even gotten permission to use certain songs from Swift’s rerecorded works that haven’t been released yet.

The possibilities for Season 3 seem endless, but with more than half the season over, the back half of the third installment might contain more of the heavy hits. Episodes 2 through 5 didn’t have any Taylor Swift songs, and fans are speculating that this could be on purpose for a few reasons — one being symbolism that...

“Hey Roger Waters, fuck you,” Jack wrote on Instagram. “How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become. The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bullshit in the press.”

“My father always thought you were a cunt,” he added, using the hashtag #fuckrogerwaters.

Alien: Earth Season 1 Episode 3 Review: Rise of the Synths
Image
What is Prodigy’s endgame here?

Alien: Earth Season 1 Episode 3 ramped up the intrigue in the aftermath of the ship’s crash-landing, doubling down on mystery while broadening the scope of this prequel’s story.

Instead of easing off the gas, the episode peeled back new layers of Prodigy’s agenda, revealing just how much potential this series has to stand alongside its cinematic predecessors.

(Patrick Brown/FX)

After two installments heavy on Wendy and Hermit, sidelining the brother-sister duo to spotlight the other synths was a smart creative pivot. These characters aren’t just window dressing; they’re crucial players in the larger narrative puzzle.

The thing Prodigy seems...

The 63 Best Experimental Films of the 21st Century (So Far)
Image
This poll was conducted in response to the recent New York Times Best Movies of the 21st Century poll and as a follow up to the Film Comment Best of the Decade list (conducted in 2020). I reached out to international artists, critics, curators, filmmakers scholars, writers, etc. committed to “experimental cinema,” loosely defined. Participants were asked to submit unranked lists of 15 titles. The poll received 109 ballots, featuring 940 films from 550 artists. Given the number of individual submissions, the published results suggest consensus where there is none. My hope is these lists will be a resource for […]

Why Emily Blunt Says She and Meryl Streep ‘Always Have Beef’: Even Off-Screen

Emily Blunt Jokes About Her “Beef” With Meryl Streep As Their Legendary Onscreen Rivalry Heats Up Again In Devil Wears Prada 2(Photo Credit –Facebook)

Meryl Streep never slips quietly into the background and when Emily Blunt is anywhere near her on a film set, sparks tend to follow. These two Hollywood A-listers are not strangers to playing characters locked in cold stares, veiled insults and sharp power plays. You would think that after three films together, maybe some warmth would show through, but no, it has been a running pattern, almost a cinematic ritual at this point.

Emily Blunt’s Surprising Reputation for Onscreen Feuds

Blunt, who often leans into the roles of quietly strong wives or whimsical heroines, does not strike most as someone eager for a feud. Yet, her name keeps circling the same orbit as Streep’s and not in the soft, fuzzy way fans usually hope for.

‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Season 3 Episode 5 Recap & Ending Explained: What Happens With The Peaches?
Image
I don’t know about you, but this was one of the worst episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty so far. Episode 5 takes us into Conrad’s head for a change of scenery, showing us how he’s been pining after Belly for the past 4 years. Conrad’s feelings for Belly seem very unrealistic to me, and there are some really cringe-worthy moments in this episode. Look, I know I’ve been saying I’m team Jellyfish, but the truth is, I only ever liked Cam Cameron. Like, maybe let’s not have Belly end up with her childhood bully or his brother? Jokes aside though, why did it have to be peaches? Anyway, with that said, let’s dive into episode 5 before I lose more brain cells.

Spoiler Alert

Why Does Adam Change His Mind?

Episode 5 begins with a rundown of that special hug between Belly and Conrad...

Arrowhead Needs to Boost This Ridiculously Rare Drop in Helldivers 2
Image
Helldivers 2‘s chaotic battlefield is packed with enemies but also with goodies to collect: samples, requisition slips, warbond medals, and more. But among all the lootable items, there’s one incredibly elusive find that’s become the stuff of legend: the 100 Super Credit drop.

It’s so rare that some players are even unaware of its existence. Arrowhead needs to seriously reconsider the drop rate of this reward, as it may as well be a rumor for many. Yes, it’s a highly valuable currency, but make it believable that it’s actually in the game.

Why the 100 Super Credit Drop Feels Like Winning the Lottery

Finding a 100 Super Credit (Sc) pile in Helldivers 2 is like striking gold, except you’re in a war zone and happen to be fighting aliens. Most players will go the entire map, only ever picking up the modest 10 Sc stashes, and occasionally a 50 if they’re lucky.

How I Met Your Mother’s Creator’s Bold Move to Escape the ‘Aging’ Problem of Cast Members Could’ve Easily Backfired
Image
To escape the aging problem of its cast members, Lyndsy Fonseca and David Henrie, the creators of How I Met Your Mother, Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, shot all of their scenes in Season 2 itself. In an interview with TV Gal, Thomas commented on this decision, saying:

At the beginning of year two we realized these kids were aging. We knew what their piece of the puzzle at the very end game of the show would be and we knew we had to grab it and we did.

This may have been a long shot that was taken by the showrunners, as even one link left untethered would’ve brought all of it crashing down. Thankfully, the long-term storytelling paid off for them in the end.

This Unfiltered Crime Tale Marked Martin Scorsese’s Start—And It Scared The Industry More Than Violence Ever Could
Image
Martin Scorsese’s Early Crime Drama Was Too Gritty For Hollywood To Handle(Photo Credit –Instagram)

Mean Streets came long before Martin Scorsese began diving into grand tales of power and corruption. You see, before the obsession with men in suits drowning in money or blood, there was this small, jittery film about small-time hoods stuck in a loop, scraping through life in the narrow alleys of Little Italy. It did not care about the big bosses or polished operations but lingered around those at the bottom who were confused, loyal, and reckless.

Scorsese was well aware of this world, not from a distance but from within, and that intimacy shaped every frame in the best possible way.

Distributors Feared Mean Streets’ Brutal Honesty

Mean Streets, if compared to the slickness of Goodfellas, stumbles and burns in its own raw energy. There is no rise to the top when it...

Aap Jaisa Koi (2025) ‘Netflix’ Movie Review: Generic Story, Stylish Storytelling
Image
Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, the Netflix romcom “Aap Jaisa Koi” channels the energy of yesterday’s leftovers. But, boy, does it present itself in a meticulously designed plate. Fortunately for director Vivek Soni, style does go a long way when it comes to cinema. Style, itself, could very well be substance. It is only in that spirit, one can find joy in this otherwise middling affair. “Aap Jaisa Koi,” starring R. Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh, has a strong resemblance to “Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” Karan Johar’s bigger and more boisterous blockbuster from two years ago. It is director Vivek Soni’s unique visual language that salvages, nay, elevates, this generic, more middling version of the same film.

Like “Rocky aur Rani,” “Aap Jaisa Koi” balances itself as a romantic escapade amidst a gargantuan clash of the opposites. Shrirenu Tripathi (Madhavan) is a forty-something Sanskrit teacher in Jamshedpur.

‘Little, Big, and Far’ Review: Jem Cohen Ponders the Fabric of the Universe
Image
As a filmmaker, Jem Cohen thrives on ambiguity, dissolving the lines between documentary and fiction until the two become nearly indistinguishable. Little, Big, and Far is no exception. Ostensibly a quiet portrait of astronomers reflecting on their work and the changing world around them, the film initially presents itself as an observational documentary. But that façade slowly erodes, revealing a heavily constructed narrative—one subtly but unmistakably shaped by the experimentally inclined hand of its maker.

At the center of the film is Karl (Franz Schwartz), a 70-year-old Austrian astronomer, professor, and museum consultant whose days are filled with cosmic contemplation. Early on, he shares his love for jazz—music that he likes to play while poring over celestial images. The film is also focused on Sarah (Jessica Sarah Rinland), a younger colleague preoccupied with the Anthropocene, and Karl’s wife, a cosmologist named Eleanor (Leslie Thornton), who communicates with...

Everything We Know About Netflix’s Virgin River Season 7 So Far(Photo Credit –Netflix)

Virgin River is not done with your emotions. Netflix’s fan-favorite small-town saga is officially rolling into its seventh season, and while the pace of life in the fictional northern town might be slow, the drama behind the scenes? Anything but. This time, old ties are being tested. And fresh faces are moving in, some with secrets, others with second chances. The season looks ready to stir the pot in a big way.

Virgin River Season 7: Production Timeline

Filming for Season 7 kicked off back on March 12, 2025, and the cameras were expected to stop rolling by June 26. With 10 episodes lined up, the show’s return date is still a mystery. Netflix hasn’t stamped a launch window yet, but given the radio silence on 2025 content lists, early 2026 (maybe around Valentine’s Day) feels more realistic than a late-2025 release.

Steve Carell Can’t Escape The Office, His 79%-Rated Rom-Com on Netflix Sneakily Dragged It In
Image
Steve Carell may have bid adieu to his Dunder Mifflin days, but The Office’s legacy keeps finding clever ways to seep into his post-Scranton career- even in an unrelated movie like Crazy, Stupid, Love. Now streaming on Netflix, the 2011 ensemble rom-com features a rather unanticipated Easter egg that only hardcore fans of The Office would recognize.

It’s not forced, it’s not loud, or chaotic (unlike Dunder Mifflin’s unruly office dynamics). It’s a blink-and-miss reference that proves, once and for all, Carell can never truly escape his Michael Scott legacy, and maybe that’s not the worst thing.

Crazy, Stupid, Love.’s Sly The Office Gag

In a hilarious scene from Crazy, Stupid, Love., sharp-eyed fans noticed a familiar phrase quietly woven into Emily Weaver’s (Julianne Moore) office nameplate. The designation on it read: Associate to the Vice President (via IMDb Trivia). Now, that may...

Tom Hardy's Favorite War Movie Is Now Streaming For Free
Image
Tom Hardyis no stranger to war movies. In fact, that’s how the actor got his start. Back in 2001, the actor joined an insanely stacked call sheet alongside legends like Ewan McGregor and Josh Hartnett in Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down. Perhaps that’s part of the reason why, when he was asked about his favorite films, the actor responded with a classic war pic at the top of the list. According to Far Out, Hardy previously heralded Oliver Stone’s iconic Vietnam War-centered feature, Platoon, as his number one picture. Now, audiences can head to Prime Video to check out the film, as it finds itself streaming alongside the platform’s extended list of content.

During his interview, Hardy was sure to mention the near impossibility of picking a favorite flick, naming other filmmakers like Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, Gaspar Noé, and more as the best in the biz.

Why Tobey Maguire Stepped Away From Hollywood After Spider-Man’s Massive Success
Image
The Real Reason Tobey Maguire Disappeared From Hollywood(Photo Credit –YouTube)

Tobey Maguire was once one of the most popular names in Hollywood, riding high from the three Spider-Man films made in the 2000s. He played Marvel’s most beloved superhero in a trilogy that made him one of the most sought-after actors in the industry. However, when the third film wrapped in 2007, his career seemingly took a turn for the worse.

Instead of capitalizing on the fame, he pulled back hard and between 2008 and 2013, he showed up in only a handful of lead roles, including a quick blink and you’ll miss it cameo in Tropic Thunder. For someone with his box office power, the slowdown was undoubtedly hard to ignore.

Tobey Maguire’s Disappearance from Hollywood

Maguire shifted his focus by 2014. He got behind the camera and produced Pawn Sacrifice, a film he also acted in. It showed...

Olivia Rodrigo Performs with The Cure’s Robert Smith at Glastonbury: Watch

Olivia Rodrigo closed out the final day of Glastonbury on Sunday with a headlining set that featured a surprise appearance by The Cure’s Robert Smith.

Introducing Smith as “the greatest songwriter to come out of England,” Rodrigo welcomed the frontman to join her for performances of The Cure’s classic songs “Friday I’m in Love” and “Just Like Heaven.”

Rodrigo’s duet with Smith is just her latest high-profile onstage collaboration with a legendary alt-rocker. Earlier this month, she brought out David Byrne for “Burning Down the House” during her headlining set at New York’s Governors Ball. Over the past year or so, she’s also shared the stage with No Doubt, Jewel, Sheryl Crow, and Stevie Nicks.

We’ve all known Quentin Tarantino to be one of the most opinionated filmmakers in the showbiz, and he doesn’t mince his words at all! Naturally, he didn’t hold back while expressing his views on The Town, a 2010 crime thriller directed by Ben Affleck, featuring major stars like Blake Lively.

Who Is Jodie Comer’s Secret Boyfriend: Her Rare Comment on James Burke and How Did They Meet
Image
They say curiosity killed the cat, but in Jodie Comer’s case, it’s more like curiosity keeps us hooked on the enigma she chooses to cloak her private life in. The 28 Years Later star once confessed that her role as Villanelle in Killing Eve might’ve left her dating life deader than disco: zero suitors, zero scoop. Not exactly Cupid’s playground.

And just when her love life looked drier than burnt toast, in walked James Burke, straight out of left field. Their worlds collided during the filming of Free Guy in Boston, and let’s just say, Cupid clearly had his game face on.

Their relationship isn’t your typical celebrity headline fodder: no public hand-holding or Instagram Pda, just rare, sincere admissions of being “very much in love”. But love’s not always a walk in the park.

Are Jodie Comer & James Burke dating? Is love in the air?...

‘I Saw the TV Glow’ Director Says It’s A ‘Deep Honor’ to Finish Behind ‘Jackass Forever’ On Top Films of the 2020s
Image
A sensitive, ground-breaking and haunting psychological horror/drama has almost as much artistic value as Johnny Knoxville giving himself a brain hemorrhage by trying to perform a magic trick for a charging bull.

On Monday morning, IndieWire delivered the online film community its most clickable piece of content in months as it attempted to rank “The 100 Best Movies of the 2020s (So Far).” Right now, Cinephile Twitter is alight with hot takes on whether Celine Song’s 2023 romance/drama Past Lives is way too high or way too low on the list, coming in at #40, and the indie-headed hipsters of the film community are crafting their dissertation-length diatribes about why the inclusion of the big studio blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick in the top 10 is a win for fascist filmmaking.

But for all the engagement-generating controversy that the respected film criticism outlet’s half-decade ranking has stirred up, somehow, the most...

Image
General Hospital (Gh) spoilers reveal that just when fans think that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) can’t sink any lower, he does something new to surprise everyone!

Such was the case on Monday, June 9 when he went out of his way to ensure sweet little Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) heard that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) didn’t’ want him or and Amelia Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko) anymore, now that Daisy Corinthos (Levi Clark Coughlin) was in the picture.

This was an outright lie that broke the child’s heart, so, is Drew unredeemable at this point?

What Happened to Drew Cain?

Drew used to be a hero in Port Charles, but now he’s the top villain within the little town. Even Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) has a moral compass enough to leave kids out of his illegal activities.

Ricky Gervais Says He and Steve Carell Were Just 2 Idiots Ad Libbing During His Cameo in The Office
Image
The Office has always been everyone’s favorite comfort show. Whether you need to relax after a long day at work or just want to get your daily dose of the four happiness hormones, the sitcom will do it for you. A lot of credit for that goes to Steve Carell, though. Through his portrayal of the eccentric yet absolutely lovable World’s Best Boss, he somehow took an iconic script and turned it into plain awesome.

In an honest opinion, there is no one better than Michael Scott when it comes to putting a smile on your faces, all while simultaneously wanting to rip your hair out. Well, maybe there is one thing better: 2 Michael Scotts. What happens when two people who are wired the same way meet each other? Chaos and a lot of ad-libbing.

Steve Carell and Ricky Gervais don’t need a script Steve Carell and...

Netflix is bringing Frankenstein back from the dead, and Guillermo del Toro’s long-gestating dream project is finally hitting screens in November 2025. And from the looks of the first teaser dropped during Netflix Tudum 2025, this isn’t your typical monster movie. It’s twisted. It’s tragic. And it’s absolutely del Toro.

Oscar Isaac stars as Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but ego-driven scientist. Jacob Elordi plays the creature. And the mood? Classic gothic horror with a romantic, decaying edge. Del Toro calls the film “the culmination of a journey that has occupied most of my life.” At Tudum (per Deadline), he added, “Monsters have become my personal belief system.” And Shelley’s novel? It’s the holy text.

Next Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, & More Appear To Be Delayed
Image
According to Ubisoft reports, it would appear that the next games in the Assassin's Creed and Far Cryfranchises, among others, have been delayed. Assassin's Creed Shadows' financial success has breathed new life into the series, but it has been over four years since Far Cry 6, and with a follow-up yet to be announced, it seems like the wait will only get longer.

In a press release from Ubisoft (via Kotaku), the publisher divulged that it has "decided to provide additional development time to some of its biggest productions in order to create the best conditions for success." This is followed by the assertion that "[Fiscal Year] 2026-27 and FY2027-28 will see significant growth vs. FY2025-26 on the back of strong content coming from [Ubisoft's] largest brands." While said brands aren't specifically named, Ubisoft's most notable IPs include Assassin's Creed and Far Cry, and could extend to the likes of Tom Clancy's.
