Pink Floyd: The Making of the Dark Side of the Moon

Not a bad documentary. Like anything detailing the progression of Pink Floyd you begin during those Tea Set years when Syd Barrett was in charge. Then to Roger Waters and goes into the two soundtrack albums. Richard Wright detailing how soundtracks make a better band from a band is good, because More especially is an underrated Floyd vehicle...

Then from Meddle into Dark Side. The only problem is the same problem that an Eric Clapton bio had: that is, when talking about their early classic stuff, it cuts to a 1980's concert, which of course is not only way after the fact, but doesn't musically tell the story quite the same...

Although in the Clapton doc it's better since you still get those fingers on the fretboard... With Pink Floyd, trying to capture that band at the time this album came out it's quite hard without just playing the music, which, thankfully they do here in what's an entertaining but average look into an album that changed a band, and the world.
