Yeah! A movie worth ENJOYING at the big screen for all kind of audience, after a long time in Mollywood. An awesome feel-good movie filled with humor.
Fahadh is brilliant with his script selection in recent years! Him being phenomenal as usual and supported by the fantastic performance of others(especially the child & grandma), the cast is just perfect. The performances of Vineeth and Anjana are also to be noted. Each one of them has put out their best for it. The craftsman Akhil Sathyan has done a brilliant job with the wonderful story(written by himself) and in engaging the audience with all the emotions a movie can convey. In fact, I loved it more than the spectacular "Njan Prakashan".
There are a few scenes that relates very much to our lives, that could really make us emotional. The dialogues are explicit and plays a key role in making the movie this much gripping. The film is a little bit lengthy, which is NOT AT ALL a negative factor, but blesses us with more moments to enjoy this beautiful piece of art.
This is a not-to-miss-in-theatre movie, amazing experience.

I'm really happy about the way the movie turned out. Such a feel good cinema. It's been a while since I watched such a nicely taken family movie.
Written and directed perfectly.
The casting is perfect. Will surely melt anyone with a heart. Really happy to know that Malayalam cinema is secure with the next generation of film makers. Can't congratulate the director enough. Worthy of debut by Akhil Sathen, Son of Sathyen Anthicad (A perfect movie to start his directorial career indeed).
Can't find much flaws, but to nit pick, i may say that the length is a bit on the longer side but not lagged even a little. So that too is not a problem.

Fahadh Faasil (re)enters the universe built by the Anthikkads (Sathyan, Anoop, and now the debuting Akhil) and almost single-handedly makes us care for a plot that offers little to no surprises and moves along at a very predictable pace. Don't be turned off by the 2h 51m run-time. Akhil Sathyan mostly treads the footsteps of his father while penning the script for Pachu (shortened), where the routine life of the protagonist suddenly takes a detour owing to the interference of one (or more) female characters. While Sathyan Anthikkad rarely ventured outside Kerala (or Tamil Nadu) to tell his stories filled with "goodness", Akhil Sathyan uses 3 different locations to narrate his - Mumbai, Goa, and Kerala (in bits & pieces). Mumbai and Goa, especially, have been captured nicely.
The humour is mostly subtle and situational, which works in its favour. Some of the casting choices (aside from Fahadh) are superb. Anjana Jayaprakash plays Hamsadhwani, a character that seems inconsequential at first, but blends into the proceedings seamlessly. Scenes featuring Fahadh and her, while carried by Fahadh's improvisations, are wonderful to watch. Vineeth also gets a worthwhile role after a pretty long gap, reminding us that it's not just his voice that Malayalam cinema needs to use more of. Given it's the final film of the late great Innocent, seeing him too brings forth genuine smiles. The subplot that involves saving a poor child from the Goan slums had the potential to fizzle out the entire movie. But the writing never goes the melodramatic route and the performances remain grounded.

If Fahadh Faasil is in it, I watch the movie because I know it won't be that bad of a script. Found Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum on Amazon Prime and started watching it.
It's a 2.5-hour-long movie, but you won't be disappointed at the end. A very simple narrative of a Malayali guy living in Mumbai who wants to make it big. Things change when he accidentally returns to Kerala, and the story unfolds.
The first half was quite slow, but it had some beautiful comic relief. Fahadh portrayed these roles remarkably, where he acts a bit dumb but tries to be smart to get what he wants.
The movie's length is long because there are too many characters, and everyone has a story to tell. So at times, it does get a bit convoluted. However, the second half was definitely more enjoyable, and you really want to see what happens at the climax.
It's definitely a film you can watch with your family. There's a beautiful message about female education and dealing with personal losses, except it ends on a positive note.
Honestly, the Malayalam industry has made too many comedy-dramas like this too often. In fact, it reminded me of Fahadh's previous film "Njan Prakashan," which also follows the same recipe of some comedy, a bit of tragedy, but a happy ending.
If you can spare 2.5 hours for a film, Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum is worth a watch. 7/10 for me.

"Outstanding! That's the word that comes to mind after watching this movie. The story was gripping, the direction was top-notch, and the performances were outstanding. But what really stood out for me was Fahad Fasil's amazing performance. He portrayed his character with such depth and intensity that it left me in awe.
Fahad Fasil's acting was so powerful that he made me forget I was watching a movie. He completely immersed himself in the role, and it showed in every scene he was in. He brought a range of emotions to his character, from anger to vulnerability, and everything in between. It was truly a masterful performance that will be remembered for a long time.
The movie as a whole was also fantastic. The story was well-crafted, and the direction was masterful. The supporting cast was also great, but Fahad Fasil was the standout performer.
In conclusion, if you're a fan of great movies and amazing acting, this movie is a must-watch. Fahad Fasil's performance alone is worth the price of admission. Overall, a truly outstanding movie that will stay with you long after you've watched it."
