Serik Beyeu’s latest film, originally titled Succubus and retitled The Demoness for its home‑video release, debuted in 2024 and landed on digital platforms February 11, 2025 (with Blu‑ray and DVD following May 27). Shot in Russian and presented with an English dub, this supernatural thriller unfolds under the direction of Beyeu, who also oversees a screenplay co‑written by Dmitry Zhigalov and Oleg Kurochkin.
The premise is deceptively simple: an exclusive island retreat invites couples to confront hidden fractures in their relationships through a series of masked ceremonies and guided “truth” exercises. Yet beneath the veneer of therapeutic renewal, an ancient succubus lurks, feeding on guests’ deepest longings and twisting their desires into catastrophic betrayals.
Cinematographer Anton Zenkovich frames the wintry forest and cabin interiors with mirror‑laden compositions, reinforcing the film’s interest in dualities—what we show our partners versus what we conceal. Beyeu alternates between methodical build‑ups...

One of the stars of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has spoken about the possibility of him reprising his role in the franchise. Ron Perlman, who played Optimus Primal in the film, talked about his role in the 2023 movie and his willingness to come back in a sequel.
Speaking with Screen Rant to discuss his new horror-thriller film Succubus, Perlman said that he hadn't heard anything about the future of the franchise -- which likely includes a G.I. Joe crossover film -- or whether his Transformers character will return, saying: "I haven't heard a word. While we were making the movie, we all knew that we were part of a storied franchise, and wondered whether we were going to there was a bit of a departure in this particular one, and went in a couple of different directions. We all wondered whether that was going to parlay itself into some future visitation.

As the franchise eyes multiple new directions to proceed, Ron Perlman opens up about the future for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts' Optimus Primal. Perlman debuted as the leader of the Maximal race of Transformers in the 2023 movie, which was the second in the prequel timeline following Bumblebee and saw the Autobots teaming with the Maximals to prevent the villainous Terrorcons from getting their hands on a key that can open a wormhole for Unicron to destroy Earth. Though underperforming critically and commercially, Paramount is moving forward with multiple new Transformers movies, including a sequel to Rise of the Beasts.
During a recent interview with Screen Rant to discuss his new horror-thriller Succubus, Perlman was asked if there had been conversations for him to reprise his role as Optimus Primal in the Transformers franchise. The Rise of the Beasts star affirmed he hasn't "heard a word", recalling the trajectory of...
