Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes in Mystère au Grand Nord (2009)

FAQ

Mystère au Grand Nord

After witnessing the death of his partner in a shootout, Baltimore police detective Nate Burke (Eddie Cibrian]) takes a job as chief of police in Lunacy, a small town in Alaska. Almost from the moment he sets foot in Alaskan snow, Nate is attracted to the bush pilot Meg Galligan (LeAnn Rimes), daughter of the owner of the lodge where he's staying. When Nate and Meg are sent out to locate two climbers on Mt No Name, they find a third body in an ice cave. The body turns out to belong to Meg's father Pat (Stephen Huszar), who disappeared some 15 years ago and was thought to have run off to Anchorage. However, the ice axe in his chest tells another story, and now it's on Nate's shoulders to find out which of Lunacy's colorful characters murdered him.

Northern Lights is a 2005 novel by American romance novelist Nora Roberts. The novel was adapted for the movie by Janet Brownell.

Le Maître chinois (1978) (Drunken Master) (1978) and Rush Hour (1998) (1998). Nate nonchalantly adds that Opération Condor (1991) (Operation Condor) (1991) was Jackie's best.

Meg's dog Rocky is an American Bulldog.

When Steve Thompson (Alex Arsenault) gives Nate the pierced earring he found next to Pat's body in the cave, Nate remembers seeing Ed Woolcott (Greg Lawson) wearing that earring in a photo on John's (Adrian Hough) mantel. Nate plans to arrest Ed after the Founder's Parade, but the state police's presence spooks Ed, who is riding on a float. Ed takes Carrie Hawbacker (Christianne Hirt) hostage and shoots Meg in the arm. He tries to shoot Nate, but Nate takes him down. Later that evening, as Nate and Meg walk outside in the cold, Meg assures Nate that he is no longer a cheechako (outsider) and agrees to marry him. In the final scene, they kiss under the northern lilghts.

Yes, besides Northern Lights, 10 of Roberts' novels have been made into TV movies, including: Coupable Innocence (2011) (2011), Sur le fil (2009) (2009), Hantée par le passé (2009) (2009), Un amour éternel (2009) (2009), Les flammes du passé (2007) (2007), Comme une ombre dans la nuit (2007) (2007), Captive du souvenir (2007) (2007), Trois soeurs dans le Montana (2007) (2007), L'ultime refuge (2001) (2001), and Magic Moments (1989) (1989).
