The museum is in need of a new night guard as Larry has got an new job at Tokya Museum and Larry's son Nick is given the job offer to take over as new night guard. Now, Nick is still a boy too scared to fight his self doubt and he his pit against Kahmunrah returning from the last film along with the daddy issues. Plus, they get to travel to ancient Egypt this time and it is upto Nick to find his confidence back on time to bring everybody back to the museum safe.
The film offers nothing new, mainly because I am not the target audience for this animated feature unlike the live-action trilogy. I did chuckle at couple of lines but that was about it. Largely aimed at kids only, I guess it's serves the purpose of giving basic entertainment as it doesn't try anything more. The lines are as pedestrian as a cartoon show might get and the screenplay is extremely convenient.

I found out about this movie from my brother. And I started watching this hopeful that this would at lest have some good things with it.
But just as I hoped that it didn't do, it ruined a great franchise.
Why does Disney have to ruin everything?
I have seen some reviews here saying the CGI is good, and yes it can seam amazing at first, until you realize it was made in 2022.
The story seams to have been set after the 3rd movie, but there is a ton of stuff that is just plain wrong, and is just disappointing for them to mess up.
Here are some of them:
I am mad and disappointed at the existence of this horrible movie.

Here are some of them:
- Wasn't Nick going to College?
- Didn't Larry become a teacher?
- Why is Kahmunrah in New York?
- Where did the basement stuff come from?
- Didn't Dr. McPhee know they were alive?
- Why are they bullies to everyone who's not Larry or Nick?
- Why is the tablet in New York?
I am mad and disappointed at the existence of this horrible movie.
Let me begin by saying that this film has a great storyline with tremendous potential, but unfortunately, the filmmakers seem to have targeted an age group between 3-5 year-old. It is not a film that a 9-year-old child would truly enjoy.
It was nice to see the beautiful values portrayed in the film, such as friendship, selflessness, and a strong sense of bonding that closely resembles a family bond. However, it would have been better to also include some humor. The film was overly formulaic and lacked originality.
I watched this film with my children, and the part that made us laugh the most was the character of the God of Chaos. He was the most comedic element in the film.
This film can be described as an episode within a series of children's shows, and nothing more. But to be a standalone film, I don't think it succeeded. We didn't get to know the characters well, and there weren't strong enough motivations to connect the audience with them.
In summary, I believe this film was simply a filler for commercial purposes. However, the worst part was the exploitation of the "Night at the Museum" name.

There are far worse animated films you can choose. This is not one of them. As the title says it is fun, fast and energetic. No time for slow moments!
Gorgeously animated with great camera shots that enhances the plot.
It is a simple plot but that is what makes it so fun to. Watch! The creators have fun in coming up with various obstacles they can throw at the characters and leaves us with no time to breath between them. And the result is very entertaining for us to behold.
The movie also pays tribute to the previous movies in the franchise and even pokes fun at itself, which again works well for the story. It is a silly story and the ovie knows it..
It left me with a smile, chuckle and a feel good time. It does not invent any wheels but it does not need to either.

I hate to give a great Animated movie like this a low score, but in the end it was the story that forced my hand. So let's give points where points are due. The Animation is GREAT! The acting was wonderful! But the plot was just awful. Look, I get that it's a movie directed at kids and what not, and no, I'm not being too picky, the story just kinda falls apart towards the end of the movie. I felt like the writers got lazy towards the end. It's their laziness that prevents me for giving this movie a much more higher star count. But in the same time I admire them for trying. Seriously, it's not every day you see a great Animated movie, and a 2D animated movie to boot! I reward this movie 5 stars for the spot on Animation but only 1 star for the lazy writing. 5 minus 1= 4 stars, that's my final ruling on this beautiful film; take it or leave it.
