According to Production Bulletin, Cleopatra is currently in active development, with Universal Pictures and Atlas Entertainment attached to the likely big-budget epic period film. The report also suggests that the production team has narrowed down an exciting new location for the film, with Morocco listed as the filming destination. Morocco notably served as a filming location for Gladiator II, Ridley Scott's recent big-budget blockbuster. In Gladiator II, the opening scenes set in "Africa Nova" were filmed around the city of Ouarzazate, south of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco. In the final season of the original series, Graham portrays Hayden Stagg, the union leader for the Liverpool dock workers. Rundle was a mainstay throughout all six seasons as Tommy Shelby’s sister Ada, as was Dennehy as Charlie Strong, a sort of uncle to the Shelby siblings. “I think it’s crazy. I mean, frankly, I don’t understand it,” Nielsen tells the site. “[Wonder Woman] made $800 million just in the movie theaters, and it has an enormous and passionate, passionate fan base. Netflix has announced that production commenced today on the highly anticipated Peaky Blinders movie, an epic continuation of the multi-award-winning gangster saga, set in the lawless streets of Birmingham in the 1900s.

Production on the Peaky Blinders film has commenced in the U.K. The feature film version of the BAFTA-winning series is set to become a Netflix film and Deadline has bestowed fans with a couple of first look pictures as filming begins. The film will bring back the show’s star, Cillian Murphy, who’s hot off his Academy Award win for Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. Netflix has announced the start of production for its untitled Peaky Blinders movie. A first look at Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby has also been shared, as well as a behind-the-scenes image featuring Cillian with series creator Stephen Knight.

“Saltburn” star Barry Keoghan is set to appear alongside Cillian Murphy in Netflix’s upcoming “Peaky Blinders” movie.

Details of his role have not yet been unveiled.

Netflix confirmed earlier this summer that Murphy was set to return as fearsome gangster Thomas Shelby in the movie, which is directed by Tom Harper (“Heart of Stone”). Harper previously directed episodes from the first season of “Peaky Blinders.”

Steven Knight created the hit series, which is set in turn of the century Birmingham, back in 2013. Knight has returned to write the movie and will also co-produce alongside Murphy and others.

“I’m genuinely thrilled that this movie is about to happen,” Knight said previously. “It will be an explosive chapter in the ‘Peaky Blinders’ story. No holds barred. Full on ‘Peaky Blinders’ at war.”

Rebecca Ferguson is also reported to be in the film, with production set to start later this year.

Director Bennett Miller is working on his first feature film since 2014’s Foxcatcher and it’ll focus on AI.

AI is a popular theme in today’s films. In fact, we’ve just written about the worrying undercurrent of it in Netflix’s Heart Of Stone. Other recent films such as Ex Machina, The Creator and M3GAN have also ruminated on the possibilities of AI on the big screen.

Another director to tackle the subject is Bennett Miller, the director of Capote, Moneyball and Foxcatcher. In fact, Miller hasn’t made a film since his 2014 Oscar-nominated Foxcatcher, which transformed Steve Carrell into troubled millionaire and wrestling enthusiast John E du Pont.

According to report, Alpha began shooting in early July at Yrf Studios in Andheri, with an elaborate action scene featuring Alia. The production then moved to Film City, Goregaon, where Alia and Bobby are filming a major action sequence, known for its blood, gore, and brutality. In this scene, they engage in hand-to-hand combat and use weapons. Alia is dressed in a black outfit with a gun strapped to her thigh, while Bobby sports a salt-and-pepper beard and cropped hair.

Earlier this year, it was announced that the BBC is teaming up with the Netflix streaming service to bring us a Peaky Blinders movie that will pick up a few years after the end of the series and see Oscar-winning actor Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer) reprising the iconic role of Tommy Shelby, leader of the eponymous Birmingham gangster family. Now Deadline reports that Murphy is being joined in the cast by Rebecca Ferguson of the Dune and Mission: Impossible franchises… but details on the character Ferguson will be playing are being kept under wraps.
