Len Blavatnik‘s Access Industries and Warner Bros. Discovery have unveiled a management buyout deal to cut their stake in Reshet 13, the Israeli broadcast giant, to 26 percent.

As part of a proposed transaction still in the outline phase, a management group led by CEO Emiliano Calemzuk will emerge with a 74 percent stake in the Hebrew-language Israeli TV network operated by Reshet Media. The proposed transaction for a change of control at Reshet 13 — which is known for series like Netflix’s Blackspace and the Oz’s List, The Journey of Oz Davidian documentary about the Oct. 7, 2023 terrorist attack on Israel — will see Access Industries and Wbd retain a 26 percent stake.

“Access and Wbd are supportive of the management and employee buyout and want them to succeed. It’s important to retain employment at the channel and to support the country and its democratic media,” a spokesperson for Access Industries told The Hollywood Reporter.

Exclusive: Israel’s Girl from Oslo director Ofir Lobel has signed for representation with LA outfit Black Box Management.

Lobel, whose credits include Blackspace and Trust No One, is looking to push further into the international space by signing with the Hollywood management company, which is run by former CAA and WME agents Mike Dill and Lowell Shapiro.

Lobel is about to head to Greece to start production on Season 2 of Netflix’s The Girl from Oslo, which is co-produced for Israel’s Hot and Norway’s TV2. The series tells the story of a young Norwegian girl and two Israeli friends who are kidnapped by terrorists and threatened with death unless 12 prisoners are released.

World-premiering in competition at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, Israeli espionage thriller “Trust No One” marries the pedigree and primetime polish of past series like “Traitor” and “Valley of Tears” with techno-anxieties tied to the here-and-now – specifically with regards to the security state and modern cyber warfare.

“Israel has become one of the largest global exporters of spy ware,” says co-creator Daniel Amsel. “Only, those technological weapons can undermine democracy and lead to the death of truth. Brussels-based company Best Friend Forever has closed major territories on Hadas Ben Aroya’s daring sophomore outing “All Eyes Off Me,” which world premiered at Berlin in the Panorama section.

The drama, which is set in contemporary Tel Aviv, was sold to Film Movement for North America, and also lured buyers in France (Wayna Pitch), Japan (Klockworx), Spain (Filmin), Portugal (Nitrato) and South Korea (Lumix Media).

The film weaves three stories portraying Tel Aviv’s youth and is headlined by a cast of fresh faces and up-and-comers including Elisheva Weil (“Just For Today”), Leib Lev Levin (“Blackspace”), Yoav Hait and Hadar Katz.

Set to bow in the Panorama section, “All Eyes Off Me” takes place in contemporary Tel Aviv and weaves three stories portraying Tel Aviv’s youth. Fremantle’s Naked Poaches Twofour Development Chief

Fremantle UK’s unscripted company Naked has hired Twofour’s development boss Natalie McArdle as its new director of development. Reporting to Naked creative director Tom O’Brien, she will take up the post in February. She has only been with Twofour for a year after joining the ITV Studios-owned company from Sony-backed Electric Ray, where O’Brien previously worked. McArdle’s credits include BBC/Netflix series My Million Pound Menu and Channel 4’s Alone at Home. Naked managing director Fatima Salaria said: “She exudes energy and passion and her experience in developing inspiring ideas and producing great content is what we at Naked get excited about.”
