Jerry trainor is as funny as before, Miranda cosgrove and Nathan kress return to their roles with ease. The new additions to the cast will take some time to resonate but so far they seem to fit right in with the rest of the cast. Some jokes land, but some don't, the laugh track is definetely more annoying than the previous iteration.

I was a fan of the original iCarly when I was a kid and have good memories of watching it back then. I watched the first 3 episodes of this season and I must say it's good but could be a lot better. Jerry Trainor is great and he really does carry the comedy on the show so far. Miranda Cosgrove and Nathan Kress both naturally fit into their roles pretty well. I'm indifferent towards the other two characters. Harper is funny but she is going to have to settle into her role more. At first I didn't like Milicent at all but she grew on me over time. My main problem with the show so far is some of the dialogue and internet references try too hard sometimes. Also, I don't like that Freddie is still living with his mother. And shouldn't he have a better camera? I know phones have taken over the world but knowing Freddie he should have the most hi-def amazing camera since he's a huge nerd. Also I would think they would be live-streaming on a platform like YouTube or Twitch instead of Instagram since it's a lot better for that sort of thing and much easier to make money. I liked their decision with Sam and having her join a biker gang it makes sense for her character. I'm excited to see more of the show but I really hope there's more to the show then just internet/social media references.

So far the show has the same feel of the original but more mature and more open with its dialogue, characters, & storylines! Pretty funny so far as well! I really love the new character Harper! Will always miss and prefer Sam but Harper is definitely an awesome addition/replacement! The show overall is pretty good, of course has room for improvement, but if the given the chance and effort this show could be amazing!

I like the chemistry between the characters, but plot often seem inconsequential. Jokes are hit or miss. I like the addition of the adult humor.

Please, PLEASE either get rid of the kid or change her personality! She is way too obnoxious and her delivery is not funny.

As a huge fan of the original show I wasn't disappointed with the first three episodes. I really didn't want this reboot to happen because I though it would destroy ICarly. It may still happen but the first three episodes weren't bad. The second episode was by far the best. The first one was good but the third one was.. Meh. I really like how Carly hasn't changed a lot and that Freddie is still the old Freddie we know and love. Yes.. He isn't as nerdy as he used to be but we will eventually see him more I'm sure. I LOVED Jerry's performance as Spencer. This man hasn't changed a bit. I didn't really like Freddie's daughter.. I hope she changes her attitude because she is like a villain but I'm sure we will see some character development there as well. As for Carlys roommate... She is... Interesting... I really liked some of her lines and I'm sure we will explore her character as we go. I can't wait for this series to continue and I think that it won't disappoint us ICarly fans!

If you watched the original show religiously as a tween like me, then this show is honestly great fun. When I heard that Sam wasn't going to be in the show I didn't plan on watching it, since she was always my favourite, but I ended up giving it a go anyway and I'm pleasently surprised. After such a long time since the original ended I didn't think it would have the same feel, but they've managed to replicate it quite well, though it is very modernized (which I personally like). I've only seen the first 2 episodes so far but it seems to be on the right track and hopefully it'll improve further as it goes along.

The original show circled around a tone of absurdism that made it timeless and funny for anyone watching. This reboot stripped the heart and quirkiness out of the original show and replaced it with poorly written woke culture. Don't get me wrong, there's a place for representation and being PC but it felt like the entire show is walking on eggshells. Not to mention their one main POC character is an amalgamation of minorities rolled into one. Like a backboard to check all other characters to make sure their jokes aren't problematic. Carly plays like a clueless boy-crazed millennial even though she was once an internet cornerstone. Freddie has an unrealistic life of a 35 year old at a mere 26 years old getting 2 divorces, 2 failed start-ups and an adopted 12 year old who has the same plot relevance as Lucas's little sister in stranger things S3. Jerry Trainor is the only semblance of the original absurdist tone that made the show so lovable to begin with. Writers and director really missed the mark on what made the show work to begin with. Carly and Freddie would have understood internet culture at an insane level starting off so young and with so many amazing opportunities. To take those characters and twist them into lost souls who don't understand internet culture just doesn't hold up in my opinion.

It's weird I wasn't expecting to like it so much without Sam. It's like bringing me back to a happy place before life got complicated. I love seeing everyone grown up and being able to relate to them as adults. I watched the last episode 3 times. Freddie saying let's get drunk it's pretty cool how we're all adults now.

Carly, Freddy, and Spencer return to the small screen bringing with them laughs, gags, and nostalgia.
Let me start by saying I grew up watching the original series and was excited for the reboot. But mere minutes into the new pilot, I experienced cringe worthy dialogue and even acting that felt off and forced. I waited it out though, hoping things would change.
They did.
ICarly is still a corny, goofball of a show that exists to entertain but comes along with a dose of nostalgia as well. It's fun and idiotic, the characters melt back into their caricatures quite well after some time. New additions Harper and Millicent also mix in well, though personally I feel Harper does as Carly's BFF more so than Millicent does as Freddy's stepdaughter. I have no doubt though that things will develop and smooth out more with time.
It's enjoyable, and I hope it is given time to grow!

If you grew up watching iCarly you'll like this. Humor is still very reminiscent of the old show but definitely more grown up, every episode makes me laugh. It's just FUN!!!

This was definitely a decent start. The jokes landed for the most part(at least for me) and the original actors seemed to slip right back into their rolls. I enjoyed Harper's character. I think she'll be a lot of fun. Millicent, I could do without. I really hope they don't have her character remain so annoying and bratty. I found myself rolling my eyes every time she was onscreen. Otherwise, a very solid first couple of episodes.
I have enjoyed the first 3 episodes. And just like the originals, spencer makes the show so great! The humor has gotten a tad bit darker as they're targeting adults who watched it back in 2008.

I loved that they made icarly into a adult type show and made it fantastic! I like the new characters because it gives us the same feeling of the old show but with some new stuff!

Spencer is carrying this whole show. New characters are terrible and annoying, and even though they're capitalizing on nostalgia they're trying too hard to modernize the show.
This is honestly a role model for any reunion show ever. So well-produced & nostalgic. Even though Sam is not part of the plot, I genuinely enjoy these episodes. Care-free & beautiful!

It is the exact same show as before the problem is that the actors are older but still have the same situations as before so it comes across as them not acting grownups. The show is stuck as the old show which makes it uninteresting and inmature the adopted daughter to Freddy is just awful it is a horrible imature show that has not grown up with the times.

This show matured well. It is funny and feels natural (which is often not the case in reboots). It is comforting for old fans of the show who are not adults. I would definitely recommend.

This reboot is not nearly as bad as others I have seen. I love all the adult humor they have added, as well as a more diverse cast. The theme song is still good and I don't think I could ever get tired of it.
The cast does a fairly solid job around the board, but the stand out is still Spencer. He is wacky and horny as ever, and this show is worth watching just to see his antics in 2021.
I really hope they continue the series and explore new horizons for these characters not held back by creepy executives with feet fetishes!
