Fans were disappointed when the iCarly revival was canceled after three seasons on Paramount+. However, series star Miranda Cosgrove hopes to bring her character's story to a close in a movie.

"I'm pretty sure it's gonna happen," Cosgrove told Variety when asked about iCarly during the Despicable Me 4 press tour. "So I'm excited, and I'd love to get to wrap up the story." The revival series premieres on Paramount+ in 2021, followed by Season 2 in April 2022 and Season 3 in June 2023. Set nine years after the original Nickelodeon series, the story sees Carly Shay (Cosgrove) return to Seattle, where she shares an apartment in Bushwell Plaza with her roommate Harper (Laci Mosley).

Ahead of the Frasier reboot premiere on October 12, Rotten Tomatoes has aggregated an official score for the show.

Wake up the members of iCarly nation and let them know it looks like we've reached the end of the road. Paramount+ has canceled the revival of the iconic sitcom. The original series spanned six seasons and nearly 100 episodes during its original 2007 to 2012 run on Nickelodeon. We first revisited the Shay apartment when the show returned in 2021. The now-adult iCarly seemed to be a hit with audiences all over again, and a second and third season followed in 2022 and 2023. Now, despite fan anticipation at an all-time high due to Carly and Freddie finally becoming a couple and the teased reveal of Carly's mom, Paramount+ has decided not to order a fourth season.

It's likely that we'll never know the true reason for the cancelation. It could be due to the dual Hollywood strikes, with platforms looking to cut costs. There doesn't seem to be any behind-the-scenes drama, unlike the original series.

The Spiderwick Chronicles has been picked up after getting scrapped at Disney+.

The Spiderwick Chronicles series, which was originally planned for a Disney+ release, will now premiere in 2024 on Roku instead, Deadline reports. Based on the children's fantasy book series of the same name by Tony Diterlizzi and Holly Black, the series will consist of eight episodes from Paramount Television Studios and 20th Television. Ahead of its debut, Disney+ cut The Spiderwick Chronicles from their production as a result of their streaming strategy changing to focus primarily on Disney IPs. Since the series is a name outside the Disney universe, it was unsurprisingly among the multiple titles to be cut by the streaming service.

The series follows the Grace family who moves to New York from Michigan as they've inherited their great-grandfather's manor: the Spiderwick estate.

The last season of the iCarly reboot sure left viewers with a lot to think about. The original iCarly ran for an impressive six seasons on Nickelodeon from 2007 to 2012. At that time, it became the network's highest-rated and flagship live-action series. It's no surprise that iCarly was one of the top contenders for a revival when Paramount+ launched in 2021. The relaunched show follows Carly, Freddie, and Spencer in their adult years and has been met with similar rave reviews.

If Paramount+ doesn’t renew iCarly for a fourth season, Thursday’s finale will go down as one of the most frustrating cliffhangers in recent memory.

Carly spent half of the episode bending over backwards to make sure Mrs. Benson’s wedding to Lewbert went off without a hitch, and the other half spiraling at the thought of Freddie wanting to propose. Spencer serving as the couple’s only line of communication certainly didn’t making things any easier. Funnier, yes, but definitely not easier.

For much of television history, sitcoms were done in the multi-camera, laugh-tack format. A live studio audience would chuckle along with the sometimes funny, but often not, jokes that network television writers would spoonfeed to actors to deliver weekly. The setting was usually a stage that was easy to move when it was time to go to a different room or location in the story, with on-location shoots being too expensive for most sitcoms to take advantage of.

All of these descriptors remained in children’s television sitcoms as well. Most of them were simplistic in nature, low-budget, and not exactly risky in their storytelling. Nickelodeon shows like Drake & Josh, The Amanda Show, and Kenan & Kel were all effective for what they were trying to accomplish, but they certainly didn’t break boundaries when it came to the way we thought of teen television storytelling.

In the last few years, Nickelodeon has been doubling down on nostalgia and reconnecting with the now-adult viewers of some of their biggest shows. 2021 gave us a sequel to 2007’s iCarly, which was a big enough hit to already be in Season 3. That year also gave us a prequel to the beloved SpongeBob SquarePants called Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years. And, of course, who could forget that in the same year, Big Time Rush reunited and released a brand-new album? 2021 was a big year for Nickelodeon reboots, apparently.

There are great TV shows for the whole family to enjoy, including classics like Modern Family and The Office. Creating family-friendly shows that entertain both children and parents is challenging but essential for a shared viewing experience. Nickelodeon Animation has penned a first-look deal with Lion Forge Entertainment for both features and series.

According to Deadline, the deal includes a commitment to "create content that features diverse voices in front of and behind the camera." Per the details of the agreement, Nickelodeon Animations will have a first look at any and all Lion Forge Entertainment kids and family IP. This covers series, features, short-form content, and digital content. Nickelodeon may also bring its own – and Paramount’s, which runs Nickelodeon – IP to Lion Forge for production and development. Lion Forge also gets the option to co-finance projects that it brings to Nickelodeon and to serve as the animation studio for projects that Nickelodeon produces.

Many sitcoms have a drop-in character—an individual that isn't always around where most of the events take place but keeps showing up unannounced. The actress chatted to Et Canada’s Dallas Dixon about “iCarly” season 3, when he mentioned he loved seeing queer representation on the series.

The third season dropped at the start of Pride Month, and features queer character, Harper, played by Laci Mosley.

Cosgrove — who first starred on “iCarly” as the lead character back in 2007 — said of what it means to her to have the LGBTQ+ community rally behind her: “I think it’s absolutely amazing. It’s like the nicest thing in the world. I think that Laci (actress Laci Mosley)who plays Harper on the show… we’re so lucky to have her.”

The 30-year-old actress released her first and only studio album, Sparks Fly, about 13 years ago, in 2010. The album spawned the Billboard Hot 100 hit “Kissin U”, and was followed up by the EP High Maintenance in 2011.

“Oh, I don’t know. I love doing music,” Cosgrove said of recording another album. “I love getting to go on tour and it was such a fun part of my life. I don’t know if I’m going to do it again anytime soon.”

Reboots and revivals have become mainstream, but there has also been a trend of kids series getting adapted for adult audiences, like iCarly and Zoey 101, and some shows should follow in their footsteps. iCarly, which aired on Nickelodeon, ended in 2012, and nine years later, a revival series featuring a handful of the original characters as adults debuted on Paramount+ in 2021. Similarly, Nickelodeon's Zoey 101 aired its finale in 2008, and 15 years later, a sequel film will drop on the network's streaming service in 2023.

However, whereas the original shows were geared toward children, the revivals are more mature and meant for adults. The producers of the new projects understood that their initial target audience had grown up and would be less likely to tune in if the revivals were PG. iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove shared her thoughts on Carly and Freddie making their relationship official after years of leaving fans wondering whether or not the pair would ever get together. In season 3 of the Paramount+ revival series Carly and Freddie finally confess their feelings for one another and go public with their relationship, something that Cosgrove couldn't be more pleased to see.

Cosgrove told Et, "It felt really good to actually see Carly and Freddie be together. When I read the script, I was like, 'Sixteen years, finally it's happening,' So it was a little bit of pressure though because Nathan and I really wanted to make sure it delivered because people waited for so long. But it was a big relief when the episode came out and it seems like people really enjoyed it, so that was awesome."

The first look at the film sees Pacific Coast Academy alumni Zoey (Jamie Lynn Spears), Quinn (Erin Sanders), Logan (Matthew Underwood), Chase (Sean Flynn), Michael (Christopher Massey) and Stacey (Abby Wilde) reunite for Quinn and Logan’s wedding.

The trailer opens with a look at Zoey 15 years after Zoey 101 ended. She’s now 30, single and eager to know why everyone her age is obsessed with marriage, only to find out her best friend, Quinn, is set to be wed.

“Chase is gonna be there. It’ll be fine,” Quinn tells Zoey. “It’ll be the reunion we all need.” It’s a response that makes Zoey want to get another drink, hinting that the former high school couple may not be on the best of terms anymore after ending the Nickelodeon series together.

Paramount+ has scored with franchise revivals of iCarly and The Rugrats, and now, the streaming service is trying its hand at revisiting the Zoey 101 franchise.

On Tuesday, the trailer and key art for the all-new original movie based on characters from the hit live-action Nickelodeon series Zoey 101 went public.

In the movie, Pacific Coast Academy alumni return to Malibu for an over-the-top wedding that turns into a high school reunion for the books.

Zoey 102 will be available to stream beginning Thursday, July 27, in the U.S. and Canada and the following day in the U.K.

Additionally, the movie will premiere on Tuesday, August 1, in Australia, on Friday, August 11, in Latin America and Brazil, and on Friday, November 17, in Italy, France, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Pacific Coast Academy alumni reunite 15 years after the end of the hit series Zoey 101 in Zoey 102, the new Paramount+ original movie. After reviving series like iCarly and Teen Wolf with a film and a spinoff show, the streaming platform brings back one of the biggest youth hits of the first decade of the 2000s.

Released in 2005, Zoey 101 lasted four seasons, being part of a successful batch of series for Nickelodeon that included Drake & Josh, the already mentioned iCarly and Victorious, among other titles. The story centered on Zoey, played by Jamie Lynn Spears, one of the girls who made up the first co-ed class at Pacific Coast Academy.

Paramount+ has ordered a second season of School Spirits, its YA mystery starring Peyton List (Cobra Kai) as Madison, a student who dies at her school and is unable to leave as she tries to discover who killed her. The show comes from Awesomeness, Paramount Global’s in-house studio targeting young adults.

The renewal comes about two months after the show’s first season ended on a cliffhanger. Season two is slated to begin production in 2024, with creators Megan Trinrud and Nate Trinrud and showrunner Oliver Goldstick set to return.

“We saw how engaged the fans of the show were, and we’re really excited about not only the creative direction of the show [in season one], but the promise of the creative direction we’re aware of in the second season,” Shauna Phelan, executive vp and co-head of Nickelodeon...

The third installment of the Paramount+ iCarly revival has taken a big step that has been hinted at since the earliest days of the original series. In episode 3, titled "iMake New Memories", Freddie and Carly look back on their history and share two kisses. Although their friends quickly groan at the pair's new romance, viewers couldn't be more pleased.

On Twitter, fans celebrated the milestone kiss that was teased in the iCarly season 3 trailer. One viewer shared gifs of the 'ship, known as Creddie, writing that they would be the cutest couple ever. Another commended Kress and Cosgrove for what they brought to the scene. And, in one tweet, a user dug into the show's history to highlight how far the couple has come.

In a fiery video Monday night, Drew Barrymore called out media outlets like Fox News that misrepresented comments she made during a recent interview, in order to falsely claim that she wished her mother dead.

Although an official Superman hasn’t been named, it seems that writer-director James Gunn has taken a liking to Fodé’s audition tape.

The 31-year-old’s tape featured his family farm in Moses Lake, Washington. As evidenced by his farm montage, Fodé is apparently a farm boy at heart, similar to the comic-book superhero’s background.

The Emmy nominee made his acting debut in 2012 when he played Todd in Nickelodeon’s iCarly. He has also appeared in Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List and is also known as Brooks in Disney Channel’s Jessie and Ely. Most recently, he shared the screen with Woody Harrelson and Kevin Hart in The Man from Toronto.
