The Witcher season 4 will recast Vesemir as well as Geralt, but this may not be such a bad thing, as it may end up working in Liam Hemsworth's favor. Henry Cavill played Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher season 3, as well as the former two seasons, but he will pass the torch to Liam Hemsworth for season 4. Hemsworth will face an uphill battle to impress fans after Cavill's stellar performance despite a strong track record in fantasy roles. Kim Bodnia's replacement may face a similar struggle, with Bodnia's Vesemir having developed a bond with Geralt.
However, both the new Geralt and Vesemir can likely play off each other to cement themselves into their new roles. A spokesperson for Kim Bodnia confirmed to Radio Times that he wouldn't be returning to the role as his "shooting diary didnt fit in with Netflixs shooting schedule of The Witcher season 4." Now,...

Are we about to hit peak Margot Robbie? The actress may not be the top-billed name on the Suicide Squad poster, but going into the film's August premiere, she's certainly garnering the lion's share of attention - well, her and Jared Leto, anyway - for what's sure to be a memorable turn as DC anti-hero Harley Quinn. And while Robbie, 26, is certainly no stranger to the moviegoing public at large, given her roles in The Wolf of Wall Street and Focus, there's still plenty to learn about the beauty from Down Under. The procession of Australian actors trying their luck in Hollywood continues with Nikolai Nikolaeff and Damien Bodie the latest to secure Us management.
Nikolaeff has signed with The Schiff Company, which represents A-list talent including Keira Knightley, Eminem, Helena Bonham Carter, Jeff Bridges, Dougray Scott and Dylan McDermott. Bodie signed with Genesis Entertainment Partners.
Both are represented in Australia by Aran Michael Management. Michael, who takes talent to the Us several times a year, introduced both actors to the management companies.

This year Nikolaeff co-starred with Rachel Griffiths and Rodger Corser in Camp, the NBC summer series that was shot in northern Nsw, produced by Matchbox Pictures, Universal Studios and Berman-Braun.
Nikolaeff played the love interest of Griffiths' character, who vied with Corser for her affections. The series will air here on Seven during the summer.

Editor’s Note: I met Sean Williams at Comic-Con’s Hall H between panels on the first day of the Con this past July, chatting as people do. It turns out that Sean is a filmmaker, and he’s working on a sci-fi project – travel to another planet! strong women! – that sounds really great.
Last week Sean let me know that he was ready to start “officially” talking about the project, and wanted to know what I’d like to know. I told him I wanted to know, basically, everything. How the project got started, who’s involved, where he is in the process, etc. What follows is the narrative he wrote up on the spot on his phone and sent to me via Facebook Messenger in response. One long narrative that was completely engaging. He even copied and inserted biographies as he went along. It’s no wonder the man has won writing awards.

Etta will be the partner of the recently cast Henry Ian Cusick, of "Lost" fame. No one knows where these two will show up and in which universe, but the site is reporting that Haig's character may be sticking around longer than Cusick's. It’s been well known to those of us following the buildup to the network premiere of Terra Nova that the cast roster wasn’t complete as we knew it, and Fox proved that this week by announcing the addition of some new cast members: Simone Kessell, Ashley Zukerman, and Emilia Burns. All three newbies are Australian, by the way. Please see our updated cast bios section for more information on these actors and join the Terra Nova Forums to talk about them.
Simone Kessell is joining Terra Nova as Alicia Washington, who The Hollywood Reporter says is billed as being second-in-command to Stephen Lang’s Commander Taylor, which makes her de-facto next in line as far as colony authority. Kessell is no stranger to the small screen, having had previous parts on Fringe, CSI: Miami, Reaper and other shows. Her character is said to be a “major player” on Terra Nova,...

Emelia Burns is an Australian actress best known for her small screen roles homeland. Emelia was born in Brisbane, Australia in 1982; her mother is a native of the African nation of Ghana, and her father is from Scotland. Ms. Burns’ first theatrical appearance was in the 2007 movie The Condemned, where she played Yasantwa, a condemned prisoner destined to compete in the movie’s eponymous fictional human hunting web-based television show. Burns’ performance in The Condemned earned a great deal of critical acclaim and led to more opportunities in Australian film and television, notably her leading and recurring roles in H20: Just Add Water (a popular Australian teen show), Sea Patrol, and The Elephant Princess.
In the Us she will be recognized for her part as Mudawa in the witty and insightful series, The Starter Wife, starring Deborah Messing. She also appeared in the horror flick Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.

Fox’s Terra Nova has cast Ashley Zukerman (The Pacific) and Emelia Burns (The Elephant Princess) as recurring characters according to The Hollywood Reporter. Zukerman plays Lucas, a major character that is “mysterious and enigmatic” and has a connection to Commander Nathaniel Taylor (Stephen Lang). You can expect to see him in four episodes of the show beginning halfway through the first season. I’m not sure what his connections to Taylor are but, more likely than not, they’re sinister in nature, although Lang came off as a good guy to me even if he is a bit rough around the edges. He could be someone from Taylor’s past who knows toe curling secrets about him.
As for Burns, she will be playing one of Taylor’s soldiers named Reilly. She doesn’t seem to be as important as Zukerman’s character.

Lionsgate announced Monday that the roles of Peeta and Gale had been cast for the movie adaptation of Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games. Fan reaction has ranged from aggravation to confusion to excitement. We talked with the most popular fan sites to get their reactions.
Hunger-Games.net
Personally, I am quite happy with the casting. Jennifer Lawrence is 20, therefore casting older actors for Peeta and Gale makes sense. I have seen Liam Hemsworth in the TV Show The Elephant Princess where he was a part of the main love triangle - so I can totally see him play out Gale. As for Josh Hutcherson, he has the soft boyish charm that Hunger Games fans associate with Peeta. I'm sure we can all trust the makeup artists to create brilliance onscreen.

Nikkie Finke reported yesterday about the upcoming Thor film and how Marvel and director Kenneth Branagh are facing a big challenge in trying to cast the lead character. In her report, she lists some of the candidates in the running to wield Mjolnir and become the God of Thunder.
Interestingly, she also points out that they are considering Josh Hartnett not only for the role of Loki, the God of Mischief, but to play The Mighty Thor himself. Now, I can see him giving an interesting performance as Loki but my suspension of belief doesn’t extend to him playing Thor.

Cologne, Germany -- Nickelodeon International has picked up tween fantasy series "The Elephant Princess" from Zdf Enterprises for Nickelodon's channels across Europe, Africa and Latin America.
Nickelodeon also secured extensive online content for the series, consisting of 26 half-hours, about an ordinary teenage girl Alex (Emily Robins) who discovers she actually has magical powers and, in a parallel universe, she is the heiress to the throne.
"The Elephant Princess" will premiere on Nickelodeon in the U.K. in the spring before starting its international rollout. The series is produced by Jonathan M. Shiff, whose "H20 -- Just Add Water" about Australian teen mermaids, was a hit for both Nickelodeon and Zdf Enterprises.
