Three of the announced series in development are anthology-oriented, while nearly all feature some level of genre element. This includes the B-movie homage “Shock Theatre” as well as “Wicked West,” Blumhouse’s non-fiction take on “the most frightening and disturbing tales from the Wild West.”

6 Women of Color in Supporting Roles Who Deserve to Star on Their Own Shows
Zach Braff
TV trends come and go, but who would’ve thought that, with all the focus on inclusion in the past few years, there would now be an uptick of, as IndieWire’s Michael Schneider puts it, “white dudes in crisis” on TV?

To fill the diversity void, the networks have added actors of color to supporting roles. It’s heartening to see that this has created a more realistic picture on TV of what the world looks like, such as the marriage between Zach Braff’s and Tiya Sircar’s characters on “Alex Inc.” representing the growing number of mixed-race marriages in America. Unfortunately, it’s also disappointing to see so many of these favorite actresses get shunted from one supporting role to the next.

7 New Netflix Shows to Binge Watch in March 2017, and The Best Episodes of Each
H. Jon Benjamin in Archer (2009)
1. “Grace and Frankie” Season 3 (available March 24)

Why Should I Watch It? If Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda aren’t reason enough — not to mention the rest of the cast, including Martin Sheen, Sam Waterston, and June Diane Raphael — then know this: “Grace and Frankie” is a living embodiment of progressive beliefs. Not only does the show cover an array of taboo topics from the dramatic weight of right-to-die debates to casually breaking cultural stigmas surrounding post-menopause sex, but “Grace and Frankie” consists of half-hour episodes that don’t adhere to comedic or dramatic formulas. The tone is unique to the series, respecting the characters and building to moments of great power and great humor. So give it a try.

Best Episode: We haven’t seen Season 3 yet — Netflix, please send screeners at your earliest convenience — so we’ll simply say this: Midway through last year, when debating the best TV...

Fox Has Canceled The Grinder, Grandfathered, Bordertown And Cooper Barrett
It’s a bad day to be a freshman comedy series on Fox, as the network confirmed that four of its new sitcoms – including The Grinder, Grandfathered, Bordertown and Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life – won’t be seeing a season two. The former two shows debuted in the fall, while Bordertown and Cooper Barrett were lower-profile midseason entries.

As such, it’s not entirely surprising that they became fodder for cancelation, but The Grinder and Grandfathered might come as a shock to fans. The Grinder was well received when it debuted in 2015, and Grandfathered remained strong in the ratings, leaving some to thing Fox would end up picking one over the other to come back.

It seems that after hearing showrunner pitches for second seasons of each show, as well as reviewing potential new pilots for the 2016-2017 TV season, the network ultimately decided both would get the axe.

Zooey Deschanel, Max Greenfield, Damon Wayans Jr., Hannah Simone, Lamorne Morris, and Jake Johnson in New Girl (2011)
There are two things that New Girl‘s Nick and Schmidt are consistently terrible at: first impressions and face-to-face confrontations.

Combine both of those weaknesses and you can see why their first meeting with rival bar owner Connie (played by Cougar Town‘s Busy Philipps) does not go well.

Kieran, turn out the lights.

Our American Idol “journey” has come to an end, but let us not weep for what’s been cancelled, let us instead go to iTunes and download the Season 15 winner’s new single. Hey, from a songwriting vantage point, it may not be “Home,” but it definitely ranks above “No Boundaries” and “Inside Your Heaven” — and we bought those, too. And if this show can produce one more bona fide radio/touring superstar, maybe the inevitable reboot will happen sooner than expected, no?

In the final seconds of Veep‘s Season 5 trailer, Selina handles a major financial crisis by making a comparison to male genitalia.

So, even though she might lose her Potus title to Bill O’Brien, Selina is clearly sticking to her vulgar, inappropriate guns in the HBO comedy’s fifth season.

‘Cooper Barrett’ Star Jack Cutmore-Scott on Fox Comedy’s ‘Hangover’ Vibe (Video)
Survivre à sa vie (2010)
Fox’s new midseason comedy “Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life” has drawn comparisons to both “The Hangover” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” and that’s not unintentional on the show’s part. Jack Cutmore-Scott, who plays the title character on the fourth wall-breaking sitcom, said in the latest episode of TheWrap’s “Drinking With the Stars” that the influence of those movies is in the show’s DNA, right down to a guest turn by “Ferris Bueller” star Alan Ruck. “He was the most fun the whole week,” Cutmore-Scott said. “He just got the vibe of the show,...

Actress and recording artist Victoria Justice (Victorious) and Ryan McCarten (Liv & Maddie, Heathers the Musical) have been cast as "Janet Weiss" and "Brad Majors" in The Rocky Horror Picture Show Event, which is set to shoot this winter and air Fall 2016 on Fox. The Rocky Horror Picture Show Event follows sweethearts Janet (Victoria Justice) and Brad (Ryan McCarten), who stumble upon Dr. Frank-n-Furter's (Emmy Award-nominated actress Laverne Cox) bizarre abode. Frank-n-Furter, a sexually ambiguous, flirtatious alien mad-scientist, is holding an annual, Transylvanian science convention to showcase the birth of "Rocky Horror" - a fit, attractive man created solely to fulfill Frank's desires.

Actor and singer Staz Nair will star in the title role. Reeve Carney (Penny Dreadful, Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark) has been cast as "Riff Raff," one of Dr. Frank-n-Furter's loyal servants. ‘Cooper Barrett’ Review: Bro Comedy Is a Female-Friendly ‘Hangover’
Survivre à sa vie (2010)
Fox’s new sitcom “Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life” celebrates bro bonding much the way “Entourage” and the “Hangover” franchise did but with one noteworthy exception — women are actually in on the fun. Instead of being nags or props, the female costars on this series, which debuts Sunday night, are just as fleshed out and funny as their male counterparts, and the comedy is all the better for it. Cooper (Jack Cutmore-Scott, “Kingsman: The Secret Service”) is a post-college millennial who shares an apartment and a number of insane predicaments with his two best pals. 'Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life': TV Review
Parker Lewis
Every generation is entitled to its own Parker Lewis Can't Lose, with a preppy wiseacre breaking the fourth wall to deliver tenuously valuable life advice and post-modern cultural criticism with a grin. Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life, premiering Sunday night on Fox, aspires to be a Parker Lewis Can't Lose for some generation, but there's a big old muddle about which generation it's intended for or about — much less how to convey any of the pearls of wisdom. In fact, in addition to boasting a needlessly wordy title, Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life is a generally
