Suriya in Ayan (2009)

Trivia

Ayan

Edit
The song 'Nenje Neje' was filmed in the location of Skeleton Coast, Namibia. It was the same location seen in the Aamir Khan movie Ghajini (2008), which was a Hindi remake of Surya's movie.
A particular shot in the song 'Nenje Neje', a 360 degree rotation which capture the different element of Skeleton Coast, the desert, sea, and the setting sun, the camera man had to adjust the exposure differently to show the actors in a natural skin tone.
According to Suriya the hardest stunt he performed in the movie apart from car stunts, free fall, free running was hitting the villain with the head. It was executed with the help of wire, but it injured his neck due to the unexpected impact he acquired from his running speed.
Editor Anthony found it interesting when he first saw the climax "head hitting stunt" performed by Suriya. He slow motioned the pace and eliminated the background score, matching it instead with silence. According to cinematographer M.S. Prabhu it gave much more impact for the sequence.
When Surya disguise as a woman the costumes and hairstyle resembles with actress Shriya Sarans outlook in the movie Sivaji (2007).
